Jay Vejendla idk why people like this comment, it’s so over used, and it’s obvious y’all r just trying to get pinned. Plus you didn’t even get the quote word for word. Smh👎
You should include a "example" section where it's just different braille members doing the tutorial trick for a few min at the end so we can examine their footage and hopefully pick up something I feel like this will sum up the whole video
I like the idea but just get out an try bud. keep in mind how many skaters taught themselves. Nothing personal YT is just mad to keep us watching and then if your like me you get lost lol. you can get it quick the more you ride like aaron said.
How incredibly timely. I just got my frontside 180s to the point where I am landing them on flat ground around 90 percent and on obstacles about 60 percent last weekend, so I'd say I'm ready to start hitting the backsides. Thanks for the updated tutorial! Also Aaron, your dogs are ridiculously cute. Keep them in the videos as often as possible!
I can't believe how much this helped. For some reason, I could never backside 180 consistently, and the explanations completely changed how I thought of the trick and now I'm popping em off! Thanks man
Stopped skating after I started high school a few years. I decided to step back on during quarantine to get out of the house more. Never learned a BS 180 when I was younger. The idea of turning the board at the peak is what made this trick FINALLY click for me. Much love and many thanks 🙏🏽☺️
I'm able to do fs and bs 180s sometimes but these tips are too notch and made it make sense in my mind so much clearer. Thank you once again bro I genuinely appreciate all the time you put in to teaching other people and hope it comes back around to you one day. Going to practice and get these down better thank you again 👊
I can do the power slide back 180, but super scary with the Ollie.. I’ll get it though!! Another thing that can go wrong (I did this) is that you’re not staying vertical, but leaning your body. This is super dangerous, and you’ll land with your weight in front of your front wheels (now facing backwards). This is definitely resulting in a pretty uncontrolled slam. This is what scares me with this trick.
This often happens to me. I can mitigate that to some degree by putting my front foot farther down. But this is not anlog term solution. I will try the Ollie first then turn thing tomorrow. Hope that helps
Your videos make me want to learn to skate. I used to inline skate back in the day and tried skateboarding but I didn't spend much time boarding because I thought it was harder.
Yo Aaron Kyro is the goat!!!!!!!!!!!! He is such a talented skateboarder and he even inspired me to start my own skating channel named G.D Skate and Scooter. My next vid is set to drop tomorow.
I have been skating for 3 years now and always had trouble landing back 180s but this video really helpt me learn this easier and better than the ones I have landed before and I also learned how to tre flip because of this Chanel
Thanks for this. One of the weakness of SMS, imo, has always been the one-size fits all approach. A lot of "skate hacks" and little tips from other channels have rounded out my learning from SMS or actually led to better progress and learning. I appreciate that you shared a few perspectives on the backside 180 and addressed this important facet of individual thought and style in skateboarding.
Man I wish you were doing this 15 years ago! 😆😭 You communicate tricks incredibly well. I've been relearning these and have been fluctuating between a couple of these styles. Didn't realize how much I switch session to session. This gives me something more granular to focus on. 🤙
Just landed my first ever BS 180! It was quite sketchy tbh - I still find it hard to fully commit to it with a proper popped Ollie, and I haven't got the part of shifting my weight to the front foot down yet (at least in 180 Ollies, I can do it in normal Ollies), but I'm supper happy to just land it somehow, and hopefully it'll give me the confidence needed to commit to it more and "clean it up".
bruh, i've been watching these guys for like 2 months or maybe less now, and im into skating for like 4 weeks, so thank to them im inspired to start to skate, so thx guys
Regular and Goofy are the two Skateboard stances Regular is your left foot forward, right foot back. Goofy is right foot forward left foot back. Switch is to reverse your primary stance if you ride regular switch is riding Goofy and vice versa. A Nollie is an Oliie bit you pop with your nose instead of your tail. Riding Fakie is riding Switch and you use your nose to pop.
Hey Braille I took your tip and tried it on a bank and did it actual first try after walking thru the breakdown steps. First time in 8 years I've landed a bs180
I know people think the frontside 180 is considered easier to learn, but I _truly_ believe this all comes down to how much someone is willing to lean backwards during a frontside 180 and lean forwards during a backside 180. After I figured out you have to lean forward for a backside 180 and use the rotation of your head to guide the motion, it becomes about as easy. A lot of tricks don't _really_ have you look forward in the direction you're going when you're still a total beginner. It's a bit similar to frontside pop shove its. By the time you realize you have to lean back and jump back a little bit and it won't destroy you, it becomes a very easy trick.
Different kinds of bs180°: 1. Pop shove and Body varial the same way 2. Ollie 90° on the way up and 90° on the way down using mostly the backfoot for the first half and frontfoot for the second half 3. Ollie 90° and pivot the rest. 4. Just ollie and pivot the entire 180° 5. "The best looking one (my opinion)" Ollie 180° with the body rotation is all set the during the pop. Ollie hight and duration already calculated in. Nothing to do in the air except letting it happen and landing exactly when the rotation is done. I would recommend to practice every single kind in the list because you learn different specific techniques of skateboarding: 1. For your body varials 2. Board control in the air. 3. Learn to save a trick that you kinda messed up 4. Practice step to add a revert to a trick 5. Makes your tricks clean
Just got back into skating at 32 and always have had frontside 180 down and even 360, but "secretly" never landed a bs 180 and been down on myself. No more! This year I'm going to get them down and make it my goal!
ive been skating longer and i still cant do them consistently. either i dont fully turn and just stop moving and bail or i have so much weight on my nose that im almost falling right on my face. at this point i can switch back 180 better. with less air but the turning feels so much more natural idk...
Hey @Braille you should publish all you videos mirrored as well for us regular skaters. I'm always having to picture everything you're doing for regular stance
I was practicing 180s today, the first time and it's like you guys knew I need you're help because I really need you're help 😁 Would be nice if you could make a FS 180 video too. I'm on the way to do the steps you recommended for skateboarding made simple. If got the Ollie so next are the 180s. Thx guys. Love these kind of videos

Never give up on tricks! Practice them daily even when it doesn't feel like you're getting there at all. Sometimes, progress in skating feels like getting a level up boost suddenly over night like in a video game. At least for me! I wasn't able to land a single bs180 in almost a full year. They always looked and felt the same. No progress at all. I stuck at 90 and couldn't pivot the rest. I landed some more advanced tricks like treflip or hardflip a few times within this time span but never one BS180. Then suddenly a week or so ago I just did it first try on that day. Hey Braille and everyone, I learned the frontside 180 by just twisting my shoulders and implementing a shove it. At first it was hard but I got it after a day of trying. I’m currently trying to do the same for the backside

So weird that I’m much better at kickturns the same way on a ramp but so much better at 180s frontside on flat

It’s because that is Fs on a mini
I’m guessing front sides are easier on flat cause you see where you’re landing and backside kick turns are easier for the same reason I think.
