The entire series is a masterwork. I've watched it twice and as a lifelong "Disney Fanatic", I loved all the chronological detail! What a great idea and great realization of the project! Thanks for all your hard work.
9:45 Fun fact: In the original dispute with J B Allen, it was fairly well known among his subordinate peers that he was not managing Disney’s money properly, with even some suspected embezzlement. Pete Markham called out his irresponsibility in a board meeting with Roy Disney with the expectation of losing his job. Instead, to his surprise, he was hired a few days later as the head of Disney’s new FL-based construction company.
Enjoyed your video. My father worked for a company that made conveyors and Disney bought a "spiral" conveyor to bring items from "underground" to the lounge on top of the Contemporary Hotel.
Great series.. Very thorough, love you have about Niagara fall I was there about the time they were looking there near the new power authority. Remember when (walkway of tomorrow) EPCOT diarama with the CNE one was under the rainbow bridge before WDW opened. Wish Disney would still open something there ,or some where in NY maybe Catskills ( they owned land there also for awhile)..Thank you tom and all..stay safe..love ya pal..
I love learning about the creation of the property. That AAU building always stood out to me. It’s obviously older than everything around it, now I know why!
I recall seeing an article about Disney World in the Gulf Oil magazine they produced for Disney, I think that was around 1969. I also still have the commemorative soft-cover book that came out prior to it opening. And I remember seeing the TV special with Bob Hope as the host for the grand opening. My first trip there was in 1978.
I just caught the past couple episodes so I decided to come back and start from the beginning. This is such a clever idea for a video! It may not be the most in-depth or overly flowery video series, but it’s an excellent timeline and jumping-off point from which I could research a lot of interesting things!
I Just Recently picked up "2" 1969' Preview folders for Walt Disney World...it includes a Pictorial program and stapled zerox paper info. Within a Paper ..School Style pocket Folder (one of these.. minus the stapled paperwork sold for $1050.00 in 2019').
Fantastic video! Really nice work! Question: At 10:21, what is the RetroWDW video with the monorail fabrication? I searched their site but can't find that video clip. Thanks.
This was awesome. I am looking forward to this series. One question- can you tell me where you got the golf image at 8:13? I would love to get that print.
The nostalgic historical videos of WDW are great, but the (sparkly background) screen is quite annoying. As well as the changing shape of the videos. Please fix.😊
plus including bring back the back lot tour where it was before , get rid of star wars ride to. and put all of the disney houses back in with back lot tour that is to bring back the ride of earth quake . that will also get rid of the one tunnel that they are using for the tram ride .plus please do reopen the main entreance where it was before and take down the the wall you put in thanks
bring back the ride as of Splash mountain also back to the future 4 also that include with twister, also please get rid of all of the buses plus the river boat ride , park hoper, that will include with not ussing cell phones for their jobs, plus only use all transportation is to drive all of the rental cars 0only
I hope a little constructive criticism is OK with you, Tom. This is a great series but you really need to slow down your speech a bit and adjust the video editing accordingly. You sound very rushed. I slowed the video to 90% on RUclips and it was a huge improvement sound-wise. You may want to also try a different EQ setting on your voice so it stands out a bit more clearly. Otherwise, great job!
I wanted so badly to like this video as I love watching Disney history videos. Unfortunately, it's just a video spewing facts at the viewer at warp speed with nearly no emotion or inflection in your voice. The reason The Imagineering Story was so good is because the narrator spoke with emotion and it went into details and stories about all the facts that you quickly glazed over...I would strongly recommend on future videos to give us more than just bullet points, I would happily watch a video 2 or 3 times as long if there was more substance. Also, btw I am a huge fan of WDWNT just incase you are thinking I'm just a hater...
I predict that the parks will not exist in their current form in 20 years. They have alienated so many, increased prices so much that they are becoming unsustainable, they are losing uniqueness and they will slowly wither and I can seen some closing and the land becoming valuable development land. In fact Disney may well become nothing more than an entertainment and property development company with peripheral amusement parks.

I first caught episode Number 14 and went back to and found number 1 to watch the whole Timekeeping process. Thank You.
Thanks for this. Amazing Disney world was ever built.
Thanks Tom. I really enjoyed this. Very informative.
Fantastic! well composited; great script. The rest of us can only aspire... (seriously)
Amazing Episode!

Wow. Driven past that AAU building hundreds of times and did not know that was the original preview center. awesome info :)
Beautiful WDW. Such a masterpiece.

Really like this. Thanks alot for putting this together.
_Alot_ is a town in India.
Great job and while I've seen so much on the history of WDW, I enjoyed this very much.
Excellent description. Look forward to additional videos
Best thing you’ve ever done
awesome!!! we wants more!
Fantastic show!!! I cant wait to see more. Keep up the great work :)
I love learning about the creation of the property. That AAU building always stood out to me. It’s obviously older than everything around it, now I know why!
Excellent video! Really well done!! This should be submitted to win an award!
Thank you for this amazingly detailed and realistic retrospective, when WDW itself seems trepidant to remember its own history.
Excellent series! This is the stuff that I love getting into the nitty gritty of. Thank you folks!
Excited for this series!
Great content... thanx Tom
I know this is going to be a great video.
Edit: I enjoyed this video, I can’t wait for more episodes.

I absolutely love this type of stuff!
One word for your series, “Timekeeping”: Amazing! Thank you so much!
My wife, sons, and I took the Keys To the Kingdom tour, and had the opportunity to tour the Utilidors.... Pretty cool!
Great video!
Wow I can't wait to see the other episodes🌠🎬 I love Walt Disney World💙 and congratulations WDW for making the video👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

AMAZING!!!!!! Love this ♥️♥️♥️
This was really good! Wasn't sure how well you'd make the transition from news to history but you hit a home run, hope to see this continue.
Gonna love this😄
Fantastic job, love all the work you put into this. Looking forward to your next episode ❤
Tom excellent job!! Wish it wasn't so rushed!? I could hardly enjoy, it went by so fast!! 👍
enjoyed this video cannot wait for more in the series
Can't wait till 2024 when tron opens!

Great job ! Love the narration!
LOVE!! Can’t wait for more!!
the Florida film was the 2nd to last appearance of Walt Disney on film. he made one more brief appearance.
This was great!!!
...and I had to wait until the summer of '72 to go. Mom wouldn't let me skip school to see it earlier than that. Oh well, better late than never. ;)
You're watching: timekeeping
A complete chronology series to look toward 50 years of Walt Disney World! Looking back of the time 50 years ago
We need this for UPNT. Show more love to Universal.
We’re going to focus on this series at the moment, but we will definitely do this in the future
Amazing! Can you do the same thing for DisneyLand?
Fantastic video! Really nice work! Question: At 10:21, what is the RetroWDW video with the monorail fabrication? I searched their site but can't find that video clip. Thanks.
Does anyone have a link to the photo of Seven Seas Lagoon Construction at time 4:40 ?
This was awesome. I am looking forward to this series. One question- can you tell me where you got the golf image at 8:13? I would love to get that print.
Are you thinking about making a Disneyland history series sometime in the future?
The nostalgic historical videos of WDW are great, but the (sparkly background) screen is quite annoying. As well as the changing shape of the videos. Please fix.😊

Tom, Slow down you are moving thru events TOO fast.
They have to get through 50 years of events
Amazing as always! Just if you could speak a tiny bit slower would be even better 😁
You probably know that you change the playback speed on RUclips. Although Tom sounds a bit drunk when you slow him down.
Yeah, we are trying to stay under a certain length, but I’ll slow down a bit on the future shows.
Disneyland built for 7 m open 1955? Wdw cost 400 m (just the mk?) 1971 open. Whew.
Lots of hirings then firings, then new hirings to build Wdw. ;). Payroll...paging personnel (as they used to call it).
DeSantis trying to degrade Disney to the level of a county fair. He wants to put his pudgy Trump like hands on that money.
Now mini-trump wants to strip away all of this from Disney.
Really enjoyable, but slow it down. Almost feels like the Micro Machine guy is talking.
bring back the ride as of Splash mountain also back to the future 4 also that include with twister, also please get rid of all of the buses plus the river boat ride , park hoper, that will include with not ussing cell phones for their jobs, plus only use all transportation is to drive all of the rental cars 0only

Wonder how many nukes disney and braun raised money for
