Good to see you again guys! If there's one thing we've learnt from 2020 is that it's ok not to feel ok. Let it be and know you will come out of it. We're into month 9 of this in the uk, the worry, uncertainty, inability to see family and friends for long periods. You guys got it slap bang in the face 3 months ago, on top of withdrawal from your travels, it's not surprising you went down like a ton of bricks. You're six months behind us getting used to it all! Be kind to yourselves ❤. And above all, stop bloody apologising 🤣. Your vlogs are so honest, down to earth and always a joy to watch. Peace out 🥰

Thanks for the real and candid update. I first came across your channel just as the lock-down commenced in March. During that period I caught up with all your back content. Sardinia will always, for me, be synonymous will that time. Seeing you guys sat on deckchairs in that campsite & the cooking bits, whilst I sat indoors during the tail-end of our British winter, did bring out a little green envy in me. However, I was so pleased to participate virtually in what seemed, if we had to have one, an ideal lockdown venue & weather. Best wishes.

As for traveling with dreads they have been pretty great - low maintenance no need for a bulk supply of shampoo but must admit they did make me a bit hot and sweaty when we were in hotter climates. Haven’t really created a video about them but I do get a lot of questions about Maintinance ect. ❤️👍❤️

The challenge of the last 12 months has taken an enormous amount of energy from both of you. It is an enormous achievement. It takes time to fall in to a routine again and all the constraints around us at present doesn't help. You are both home safe and once rested you can put your wealth of experience to great use and make your next trip even better. Great to see you both again.

Done it a few times on motorcycles, and once in a Mazda 3, so travelling in our campervan will be luxury. We've had her for two years, but only done four trips ... I hate coming back from a trip but I get straight into the next one , don’t be too hard on yourself s , decompress ( great way of explaining it ) and take it how it comes . Life is too fast , learn from your trip and enjoy the memories.

Don't feel bad for feeling down, it's totally understandable from the length of time you were travelling and how much you enjoy it but for it to have to end and then when you add to that of coming back to such uncertainty and all the restrictions is definitely something that nobody would cope with easily. The build up to going on an Epic trip, all the planning, saving and doing....and it goes by in a blink of an eye, that adventure....I felt like that when I returned home from my 21 day camper van adventure in Germany.....you have every right to feel sad and out of sorts and no apologies needed for feelings. I think its important for us as humans to allow ourselves to feel those emotions...without justifying it that others have it worse in some capacity.....I spend my days pining for another trip to Europe, I look at cheap houses, ways to buy a van without having to rent one (coming from Canada so renting is the only way I see). Now that we are under the Covid 19 umbrella and waiting for the time we travel again.....I have watched your adventure many times and thats why I subscribe, maybe I should up my monthly stipend...you are both so deserving of it....

We’ve got van build blues as we’ve been working on it for months and haven’t managed to get away yet (or even get anywhere near finishing haha). Found your channel through your carpeting tutorial. Very reflective and honest video. Having continued working in the past 8 months through covid I think people are natural resetting. I think as you travel for you and not to earn money the key is to accept that you don’t have to make content and when you do it’s because you want to and enjoy it ..... covid and change makes you reflect and having to adapt ... the key is don’t let the thought of what others want does not nor dominate what you want - great video

ALL emotions are part of us! The pleasant and unpleasant ones. You don't have to feel guilty about any of them. "There's a lot of world out there to explore and we didn't even go that far." And you don't have too. The UK is a beautiful place. Actually, I'd love you to explore your neighbourhood on your next adventure. We so often want to travel to far away shores and don't even know our own backyard. England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, they all have loads to offer and it would get you around the Brexit problem too. Definitely don't feel bad about vlogging less, it's really important to recharge those batteries and this is a natural pause to take. I follow (and I'm sure you do too) different channels that only post occasionally cos they just don't fit in with that YT algorithm of 'same time - every week'. I still get that Yay feeling when a video gets dropped, whenever that happens. Really easy to understand the come down, normal to feel that way after the freedom and spontaneity of life on the road.
Hi Susie, hope you're doing well :) yeah, being able to take a break and recharge has been great. We're no longer going to fear the algorithm and we'll just post when we're ready and feel as if the content is worth it instead of applying pressure to keep up a certain schedule. But we'll do our best to post as often as we can, we love it and have missed doing it over the last few weeks

Coming back to reality after 13 months away was never going to be easy. Then throw in the issues the pandemic adds to it and we'll, its enough to depress anyone. Good honest video without any sugar coating like some van life videos. Honestly you are better were you are at the moment as I just don't think it feels right travelling around Europe at the moment with all that's going on. I woder how your adventure would have turned out if there was no pandemic, you certainly lost quite a lot of travelling time locked down in the Sardinian campsite. Also I thought your accommodation was going to be free there and was quite surprised by the final bill. Some of the places you visited were deserted due to the pandemic, so you had the advantage of having it to yourelves minus the hoards of tourists. That will likely never happen again. I too lost my motivation to make RUclips videos, so I know how it feels. I have over 250 videos on my channel, but I just didn't get the same buzz uploading the latest ones. Then I bought my first van last January and converted it. Trying to get materials during lockdown was a nightmare. I made 2 videos relating to my van recently, but don't think it's right to do any more as it's mainly a bike travel related channel. Anyway, hope your mojo comes back and interested to see what this other van looks like. I'm looking for another as a winter project to then sell come early summer. Good luck :)
Thank you! It’s difficult to know what to do. As for what the trip would have been like with no Covid - I’m not sure Sardinia would have been so high on the list. Mainland Italy and Sicily were next on the road trip. But your right, a very unique time had post lockdown, one we will never forget. Have you thought about having a separate van conversion channel? Hello! For us it was a case of really simplifying life & making a few sacrifices. After a while it became slightly addicting to save money :P We also worked as much as we could, we don't earn mega-money but by watching our spending closely we were able to slowly save up enough :)

We felt like that every time we returned to the UK, however, you have returned when then the World is suffering a major Global Pandemic and into Lockdown scenarios which limits your opportunities to get out locally to ease the feeling of ‘freedom’ you have just enjoyed. Stay positive, you are young and have lots of new adventures ahead of you, you are both working, your van is up and ready to go when you get the next opportunity, so look on the positive side. You have started by voicing your ‘Blue Mood’ publicly, now move on and plan the next adventure 😘 Since I last commented on one of your Vlogs (Sicily I think), we have now retired from our Summer Campsite jobs and left UK in our van on 8th October, currently back in Spain in lockdown 😪 but the weather is better than the UK 😎 See, you can always make a positive out of a negative 😉 Take care guys and stay safe

I take for granted that Brexis will not be a problem. It' not like EU and UK will not grant visas for each others citizens. Too much invested in air-, train-, boat- and tunnel-travel for that.

Thanks for the real and candid update. I first came across your channel just as the lock-down commenced in March. During that period I caught up with all your back content. Sardinia will always, for me, be synonymous will that time. Seeing you guys sat on deckchairs in that campsite & the cooking bits, whilst I sat indoors during the tail-end of our British winter, did bring out a little green envy in me. However, I was so pleased to participate virtually in what seemed, if we had to have one, an ideal lockdown venue & weather. Best wishes.

Thank you Samantha your comment is very much appreciated! As for traveling with dreads they have been pretty great - low maintenance no need for a bulk supply of shampoo but must admit they did make me a bit hot and sweaty when we were in hotter climates. Haven’t really created a video about them but I do get a lot of questions about Maintinance ect. ❤️👍❤️

The challenge of the last 12 months has taken an enormous amount of energy from both of you. It is an enormous achievement. It takes time to fall in to a routine again and all the constraints around us at present doesn't help. You are both home safe and once rested you can put your wealth of experience to great use and make your next trip even better. Great to see you both again.

When we can ... Covid n all ... Your Germany vlogs inspired us so that's in our plans. We'll also take the campervan to Finland... Done it a few times on motorcycles, and once in a Mazda 3, so travelling in our campervan will be luxury. We've had her for two years, but only done four trips ... Life, winter and covid holding us back. But not next year! Looking forward to your next vlogs, and the quiz.

Don't feel bad for feeling down, it's totally understandable from the length of time you were travelling and how much you enjoy it but for it to have to end and then when you add to that of coming back to such uncertainty and all the restrictions is definitely something that nobody would cope with easily. Also don't feel bad for not posting as much vlog wise, even though we all love and enjoy your vlogs, we care about yous massively. Due to the fact your vlogs are done on such a personal level, we felt like travel companions and therefore now view you both as friends or even family. The build up to going on an Epic trip, all the planning, saving and doing....and it goes by in a blink of an eye, that adventure....I felt like that when I returned home from my 21 day camper van adventure in Germany.....you have every right to feel sad and out of sorts and no apologies needed for feelings. I think its important for us as humans to allow ourselves to feel those emotions...without justifying it that others have it worse in some capacity.....I spend my days pining for another trip to Europe, I look at cheap houses, ways to buy a van without having to rent one (coming from Canada so renting is the only way I see). Now that we are under the Covid 19 umbrella and waiting for the time we travel again.....I have watched your adventure many times and thats why I subscribe, maybe I should up my monthly stipend...you are both so deserving of it....

Very reflective and honest video. Having continued working in the past 8 months through covid I think people are natural resetting. I think as you travel for you and not to earn money the key is to accept that you don’t have to make content and when you do it’s because you want to and enjoy it ..... covid and change makes you reflect and having to adapt ... the key is don’t let the thought of what others want does not nor dominate what you want - great video

Actually, I'd love you to explore your neighbourhood on your next adventure. We so often want to travel to far away shores and don't even know our own backyard. England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, they all have loads to offer and it would get you around the Brexit problem too.

Definitely don't feel bad about vlogging less, it's really important to recharge those batteries and this is a natural pause to take. I follow (and I'm sure you do too) different channels that only post occasionally cos they just don't fit in with that YT algorithm of 'same time - every week'. I still get that Yay feeling when a video gets dropped, whenever that happens. Really easy to understand the come down, normal to feel that way after the freedom and spontaneity of life on the road.
Hi Susie, hope you're doing well :) yeah, being able to take a break and recharge has been great. We're no longer going to fear the algorithm and we'll just post when we're ready and feel as if the content is worth it instead of applying pressure to keep up a certain schedule. But we'll do our best to post as often as we can, we love it and have missed doing it over the last few weeks

Good honest video without any sugar coating like some van life videos. Honestly you are better were you are at the moment as I just don't think it feels right travelling around Europe at the moment with all that's going on. I woder how your adventure would have turned out if there was no pandemic, you certainly lost quite a lot of travelling time locked down in the Sardinian campsite. Also I thought your accommodation was going to be free there and was quite surprised by the final bill.
Some of the places you visited were deserted due to the pandemic, so you had the advantage of having it to yourelves minus the hoards of tourists. That will likely never happen again.
I too lost my motivation to make RUclips videos, so I know how it feels. I have over 250 videos on my channel, but I just didn't get the same buzz uploading the latest ones. Then I bought my first van last January and converted it. Trying to get materials during lockdown was a nightmare.
I made 2 videos relating to my van recently, but don't think it's right to do any more as it's mainly a bike travel related channel.
Anyway, hope your mojo comes back and interested to see what this other van looks like. I'm looking for another as a winter project to then sell come early summer.

Thank you! It’s difficult to know what to do. As for what the trip would have been like with no Covid - I’m not sure Sardinia would have been so high on the list. Mainland Italy and Sicily were next on the road trip. But your right, a very unique time had post lockdown, one we will never forget.

Weve just moved from Staffordshire to wales just a week ago and its something we always said we would do. Although i love where we are, ive cried everyday because its so different and just leaving family a couple of hours away really got to me but im getting better at it now . Hello! For us it was a case of really simplifying life & making a few sacrifices. After a while it became slightly addicting to save money :P We also worked as much as we could, we don't earn mega-money but by watching our spending closely we were able to slowly save up enough :)

We felt like that every time we returned to the UK, however, you have returned when then the World is suffering a major Global Pandemic and into Lockdown scenarios which limits your opportunities to get out locally to ease the feeling of ‘freedom’ you have just enjoyed. Stay positive, you are young and have lots of new adventures ahead of you, you are both working, your van is up and ready to go when you get the next opportunity, so look on the positive side. You have started by voicing your ‘Blue Mood’ publicly, now move on and plan the next adventure 😘 Since I last commented on one of your Vlogs (Sicily I think), we have now retired from our Summer Campsite jobs and left UK in our van on 8th October, currently back in Spain in lockdown 😪 but the weather is better than the UK 😎 See, you can always make a positive out of a negative 😉 Take care guys and stay safe

Hello! Meg has been working in local pubs/cafes cooking and serving but not taking on a role such as "head chef" that she was doing previously. I (Callum) am working for Meg's dads small business, currently learning the ropes and fulfilling order etc but soon will be doing some website/photography/videos for the business :)
Try kahoot for quizzes ... People have to log in on there phones and everyone gets to answer in a time limit
I take for granted that Brexis will not be a problem. It' not like EU and UK will not grant visas for each others citizens. Too much invested in air-, train-, boat- and tunnel-travel for that.
