He caught my ear and my heart early on. But his rendition of "This is Me" is the best I've ever heard. I don't say it often, but this young man just out did the original, hands down. For me, this just became his song. Only half way through, and my favorite of the season switched. This kid's pitch, tone, and timber are spot on. After the flash back to his dad's audition, he definitely did not learn this from his dad, unless dad has gotten loads better. This is either from mom, or pure raw talent this young man was born with. And for someone who was bullied sooo much to hit that stage with such a sense of self awareness, he is so inspiring for so many, and not just kids.

He undoubtedly has an amazing voice - but is also able to relay the story && emotions of the song/lyrics, has great stage presence, perfect balance of laid-back && humble + confident && powerful.
