I did in may 2016. I trekked to and fro in 12 hours. Got a fantastic darshan too.
Wow.. 12 hours is amazing .. we took 8 hours one way climb

That includes darshan time too. My ascent and descent took 5hrs each. 3 hours was my stay there. What a journey to inner peace. I did solo. Thanks for your video. It brought back my memories.

Can we take our bikes to Gaurikund or do we have to leave them at Sonprayag only ?
BTW we are leaving from Delhi for Kedarnath on 29th May !! Can anyone tell about what all we'll have to face ?
You can park your bike at gaurikund.
It was snowing a few days back, so make sure you are carrying warm clothes and rain coats.
Thankyou ! Can we climbup and come down on very same day to Gaurikund ? I have done few treks in Kerala which were around 14kms uphill on one side. Also, is there a parking available at Gaurikund ?
There is parking available at Gaurikund. Lot of "fit" people climb up and down the same day .. it is almost 18 kms one way.. but it takes longer because of the weather .. also your speed slows down as you climb higher due to drop in oxygen levels ..
