It’s kind of click baity to say that you’re gonna purge 50% of your collection, then correct yourself, but still post the video with that title, knowing the outcome at the end… I’m glad you’re keeping plants that bring you joy, but it’s just not consistent with your branding to post a video with a title that isn’t 100% true :) no matter how many plants you purge, I’m sure you’ll feel very relieved with a lighter plant load!
When I lived in a house during covid, I had 250+ house plants. When I moved to my apartment My collection was at 53 plants. I currently have around 75 plants. I have a modest wish list. 100 plants seems to be the sweet spot of number of plants for me. So that is the number of plants that I am trying to shoot for. If I see a plant that interests me, that is not on my wish list, I will think long and hard before purchasing it.
I think many of us started with just plants we could afford . Now we have plants that bring us more joy. But we are afraid to let go of our old plants.
Snake plants actually grow really quickly when they’re given proper light and water but they’re marketed as a low light plant so people think they’re slow 🥲
For being so busy, you look like you just returned from vacation 😍🤩. Lumi has grown so much, such a regal young lady 😻. Yep, time to toss Lumi's crunchy corner plant.👍
Getting rid of things you like but know you don't need can be hard! Sometimes it takes multiple pass-throughs to really figure out what's working and what isn't anymore.
@@LulusLeaves Thats true But its not as slow as some people think who throw their plant into dark corners of their space 😅 But as long as the plant is happy and brings joy, who cares, right? 😁
I have been searching for the Hoya Chelsea I really do love this plant. Would love to purchase from you. You probably only selling them locally not shipping them out whoever wants to buy them. I am in Ireland. I also like the Hoya pubicaryx pink silver. The Hoya Macrophylla is my wishlist plant. Yours look a bit thirsty. The cryptanthus never seen this type of plant i love the variegations i am interested in this one too.
I threw out all my dracaena species. They didn't do well in low light, low humidity, and multiple mealybug attacks. And I threw out plants that were just plain green color.
Is cool to start the year by purging your collections and that's so nice of you to give away your plants to people. I'm the same I always want to purge my plant collection thinking I will get rid of a lot then I didn't 🤣. Thanks for sharing your plant collection Have a fab day 💚🌿

I kept it that way because I will be purging more plants over the coming weeks. I do plan to purge 50%
This is such a backwards compliment 😂😂

Yes, I agree. I have 30+ snake plants. They are my favorite.

Great video, I appreciate that you keep it real 😁 And you are being very generous & appreciative of your viewers
THE PHILO PINK PRINCESS ! I am 100%%%% interested. I have been attempting to curate my collection to only pink plants haha.
Ide love a Hoya Chelsea. I have zero Hoya. Cannot find them anywhere around my area.
I get it. I purged all my orchids and part of my snake plants. Next to Go: Calathea and duplicate Hoya. They just don't spark joy anymore.
I’ve been getting rid of doubles or plants I got because I found them, not really because I wanted it lol.
my kitten always go up in the shelf to destroy my plants. its annoying. any advice.
i love my plants and the kitten but i dont wanna choose one
That was hilarious. How about less than 10%! I do the same thing.

The whale fin Sansevieria grows actually pretty fast if given the right light. Mine already pushed two baby's within a year 😅
Mine has too! I separated the baby already but if you think about it, 2 leaves in one year is very slow compared to a philodendron!
