If I am having a down day, all I have to do is watch these darling orangutans and I cheer up in a hurry. I am so glad I get to watch them. I am 75 and there's not much I can do anymore. So watching them keeps my heart happy. For all the world they remind me of my toddlers when they were that age. I have six children I raised by myself and when they were babies they were just a rambunctious as the orangutans.
Although the "reasons" for these precious animals to be in Jungle School in the first place, is so far beyond heartbreaking, but my heart swells with emotion knowing they are now safe, so loved & well taken care of...They always seem so happy, healthy & very playful...I think when these little guys tilt their heads up with their mouths wide open to receive their milk is the sweetest thing ever...
They still amaze me, their love and kindness still shines through, even after man has destroyed their mothers, homes, and their ability to live without interference. I know I wouldn't have the ability to forgive and continue to live after that. 💜💜💜🇨🇦
I’d like to compliment all of the people who work at the rescue. They put in long, strenuous days. We may think how lucky they are to care for these animals, but it is work. Slogging through the hot and humid jungle carrying large fruit baskets, pushing wheelbarrows with multiple animals, setting up all of the learning games…not to mention the dangers of working with large, undomesticated animals. Just watching them screw and unscrew all of the cage locks wears me out. People who work with animals do so because they love them. But it is usually 24/7 job. Hats off to all of these men and women for their hard work.
@@jayellecee5691 I know there so smart and such good Mothers I don’t know how anyone can kill the moms and steal the babies ,to then leave them suffering in a cardboard box . My heart just breaks 💔 when I see that..!!!
I love how they are all different just like humans. Different hair styles and colors.....even different personalities. They are fascinating. Why does the human race not value our wildlife and animal species? Our planet is filled with such beautiful animals. Once a species is gone, there is no coming back from that great loss
Because humans are mostly stupid, uneducated and lazy…..and I’m not talking about isolated tribes or people without formal western education…..we are cancer of the earth
I wonder the same thing. It’s heartbreaking how some “humans” can be so evil and unfeeling that they can kill animals like that for no other reason than greed and cutting down their habitat because of greed. It makes you wonder just who the animals are!
If we stopped all wars for five years, and sent all the soldiers to help save the planter's wilderness and wildlife, the whole world would ring with happiness and joy!
They are very lovable even when being difficult about medicine. I can see how some people are fooled into thinking they can care fir them as pets. But they are wild we can’t meet their adult need we can’t teach them as good as an orangutan mom can
It breaks my heart to see so many orangutans orphaned. For every cute adorable orangutan we all oodle over, it means their homes (habitat) was destroyed to make room for greedy profit masked under the guise of human progress and a mother orangutan killed. Humans must retake the Borneo and Sumatra rainforest lost and revitalise back into pristine rainforest. The orangutans are a keystone species and are the gardners of the rainforest because they ensure seed dispersement. Remember folks, climate change depends on rainforest preservation and rehabilitation, NOT JUST zero emission and zero carbon. The orangutans are critical in the climate change process but that's not widely known, now is it!!! Plus, they're 97% identical to humans per our DNA, so every orangutan murdered is the same as killing a human in my mind. They should be given the same rights as people per the Indonesian and Malaysian governments!
Gibran Bedra 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 I couldn’t have said it better myself! It’s extremely heartbreaking to see their lives in such ruins. They definitely deserve to be protected, and deserve so much better. Thank the good Lord above for those that love them, care for them, and release them back into the wild where they can be free! ❤️🦧❤️

Yes, the rescue/rehabilitation centers have security. The mothers were killed by poachers when they were IN THE WILD. That's why the rescued infants are being cared for at the center....
It's not open to the public for health and safety reasons. There are volunteer programs, but they are on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Note: there is NO PHYSICAL CONTACT with the orangutans.
To prevent zoonotic disease spread. We still do not know if orangutans are susceptible to covid-19, but they probably are... since they share ~97% of our DNA. You can read more here: redapes.org/covid-19/ But even without covid, masks are often worn, especially when caring for orangutans who have TB or hepatitis... which they can pass to humans.
A branch of Homo sapiens ultimately evolved into superior branch of orangutangs … a docile and fun loving species that can use all its limbs effectively…. Sadly, it will lead to their extinction..😕

These teachers are great! Thanks for all that you do for the Orangutan

Alejandra’s little tantrum was very cute. 🥰 She’s too smart to be fooled by the medicated milk, though! 😂

My sentiments exactly. Would love to spend 3 months volunteering at the school.
I am finally going with the great projects in 2025

So true we as humans have little or no appreciation of these beautiful and intelligent beings x

it sad

I just love watching these sweet little babies! They are just too precious. God Bless those that take care and love them. ❤️🦧 ❤️
I also appreciate all it would take to be a good actual orangutan mother in the trees!
Hello Alajandra - hope u r doing well. You have gotten so big!!!! love to all of you working with these beautiful creatures.
I LOVE THEM !!! Bless all of you for taking such good care of them !!!
Their antics bring a smile to my face.
They are very lovable even when being difficult about medicine. I can see how some people are fooled into thinking they can care fir them as pets. But they are wild we can’t meet their adult need we can’t teach them as good as an orangutan mom can
Thank you for all you do to help the animals

Their mothers are SMILING FROM HEAVEN !!!
It's astonishing how much they act like human toddlers, especially the little guy having a tantrum because he wasn't getting any milk.
Aw,all the babies are grown up now! Last time I saw her,Alejandra as still recovering from her eye wound, and now she’s grown!

Que Vella es la vida y que efímera .
Do these reserves have any security? I mean the mothers were killed.
Yes, the rescue/rehabilitation centers have security. The mothers were killed by poachers when they were IN THE WILD. That's why the rescued infants are being cared for at the center....
❤️❤️❤️
Can someone tell me which specy of orang outan Is it ?
Pongo pygmaeus wurmbii
BOS Nyaru Menteng is located in Central Kalimantan (Indonesia).
💖💖💖
i pray that there will be no more orangutan orphans on the future
How will you teach them to get honey from an active hive you’re just teaching them honey comes out of wood?
Some things they may just have to learn from experience, like human children...
Can you visit this sanctuary?

This video has a disturbing lack of valentino
And beni
I think these are the younger ones. Maybe around this time, Beni's and Valentino's batches are at the quarantine areas, waiting for island release.
