- Social Paintball was at the 2015 Skirmish USA Invasion of Normandy in Pennsylvania. It is one of the largest paintball events in the world. What's even more impressive is that most people do not even know about the event. This year 3800 players gathered for the scenario with 5000 people on the Skirmish USA premises.

second year playing ion...was better last year because the battle spanned most of the field instead of being compressed mostly near the beach...but still was one of the best times I ever had

Anyone watching this video...GO TO THIS EVENT!!! I went last year and it was awesome im going again this year and i can honestly say nothing Paintball can be better than this!!!
I remember a couple years ago they had around 4400 players with a total of around 6800 people on the grounds, it was insane

My favorite and funny part was just before the bass drop when the guy in the white shirt got literally ran over by the two other players. I did chuckle a bit but I hope he didn't get hurt. I also love the fact that I see myself in this video like two times but not clearly visible unless you are looking for me. Definitely one of by best weekends of my life. Hope to be there next year.

+Dauntless Prior A lot, especially if you shoot a lot. If you plan on going, start saving now.
+Dauntless Prior admission was like 60 and it was 100 for a case of paint pretty steep for the paint but was a great time
+Dauntless Prior 2015 was a 40 dollar admission and 80 dollars for a case of 2000 valken graffiti paintballs

no, I got them at the front, I dont know what year you went but thats how much it was for paint. Although now that I think about it admission was actually 50 dollars

Madman Paintball Ah, gotcha. What did you like more about it? Was there anything about ION that you enjoyed?
Social Paintball Oh yea, the pressure was way more intense in ION and the paintball itself was better because I set myself in a mental state of world war 2, but in LL everything was a bit more relaxed and centered around fun if you know what I mean. Both were awesome, but the atmosphere in ll was more enjoyable for me.
Them Krauts were using non-regulation pb's and they were shooting hot. But they won. So it's whatevs.
What does paint arrow do?
What's a good paintball setup for $600
It really depends on what type of paintball you play. For speedball you want a marker that has a high bullets per second, so look at hoppers with force feed and e trigger upgrades (the fast guns are the skinny ones you see) If you do Woodsball (Woodsball for life!) You want markers that can take a beating and still function perfectly. For your tank/air supply you can get hpa or a co2 tank. Co2 is cheaper but not reliable hpa is consistent but expensive and there hard to find a fill station for. Which ever type of paintball your playing I suggest a thermal mask and a fan don't go buying the fanny ones with different color lens the only colors that help are, orange for when there's low light and visibility, a smoke lens that way can see the field in a clear color and have protection from the sun and black I never had this type of lens so I have no idea what it does other than protection from sun and badass look. So you gotta a hopper a mask a tank and marker, as for clothes and tactical vest's I can't help you because I have no idea what type of paintball your playing.

How does this compare to Oklahoma D-Day?
hosfordryan I'll first say that I haven't been to IoN, though I'd like to go one year, but from talking to other people who have been to both events, it's like comparing apples to oranges. At the same time, I feel I can testify to that comparison from watching videos alone.
+hosfordryan If you want any bit of realism and a nod to actual history, this game isn't for you. It's VERY loosely based on the the Invasion and the third entity (French) can swing the game to any side depending on role playing alone. Now, if you want a target rich environment and the most intense moments in scenario play, the beach Invasion portion is a bucket list item.
What do the tanks do? Also, do people use radios much?
