I feel like he would move up this kit to gold today because of aspects like the color separation, gold plating, and some other aspects like part separation If the HG OO Sky can be gold tier, this can too
You can actually bend the knee a bit more. You can pull out the knee joint to give it a deeper bend. The ankles can also allow the feet to point further down but you have to pull the ankle joint a bit.
The front grill and sloped chest is just... wow. This is one of the top 5 gundam designs for me. The Nu Gundam also reminds me of a sports car, especially in the 80's styled drawing, but where that would be a BMW, this is a muscle car. I hope they make a Real Grade one day.
So I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but the ankles actually DO bend back, allowing the toes to point for aerial poses. The joints are just VERY stiff, and trying to bend them with force less than you'd use on an RG Unicorn's shoulders won't be enough to make them budge.
Your new format of reviewing kits is refreshing. I also like the way you simplified your rating of kits because it gives the kits a structure or hierarchy and does not leave them vaguely hanging in a plain of haziness.
Hey Mecha, when you do another collection video would you do use your new rating system? I would love to see just where some of the kits that you have mentioned you liked in the review will be at. Also damn mecha, you keep saying how awesome RX-78-02 the Origin is ( I have it and totally agree) but still have no proper review?
Gonna buy this! It's same tier as Jesta and F91 has a special place in my heart. My first Gunpla was Gundam F91 SD. I got it when I was 6 and it's with up to this day
To me, this Gundam is the most esthetically most beautiful design. Hands down! I found this in Little Tokyo, thinking there is no master grade. I bought it off the shelf.
after i build it, the leg bend actualy have three joint, the third joint is pull out joint on the lower section of leg, and you can bend the feet down not just the front feet parts, it looks more natural and humanesque than other "break feet" gunpla.
It's a big concern honestly that the frame is pure abs because it always caused problems with the 1.0, but I wonder if bandai made the problems less prevalent
Okay so I just bought this today, and I’m in love with this build. I sent off for the LED unit. In all fairness I can forgive a slight lack of articulation for a lighting effect gimmick. I feel like “Mecha”, really has an articulation fix lol. If the MG line had the articulation of the RG God Gundam that would be something. I would give this 5/5, I agree that you won’t see the inner cockpit detail. It would be nice if they gave you a second one to display outside of the model but no biggie. No kit is perfect but some better than others. If you like this series or just the design go pick it up it’s pretty sweet. No offense to Mecha
i do wonder if the leg design has something to do with the f91 metal build's advertising the figure as care like but ended up looking a tad more mechanical instead and the ver2 was a way of "correcting" themselves for it, since the the ver2 kits so far are basically metal build inspired....
The new rating sys is great, it made the whole review clearer about the pros and cons when you watch it with the rate in mind. For the time being I stick to HGs bc even them can be expensive and hard to buy in my country. Is there any of them that you are looking forward for the release?
I'm definitely going to get this kit but I totally disagree on the awesomeness of dry transfers they are the worst. water slides are the best type of decal in my opinion.
IMO dry transfer are better than water decal when you decide not to top coating it. Why? Because for those who somehow have a greasy fingers, water decal would easily come off when you touch it, unlike dry transfer.
Phyo Zin Oo Nope, he is not joking. The reason why he really like dry transfer is because most MG (except for ver. Ka & P-Bandai) came with only sticker-style decal & dry transfer. Since he really dislike sticker-style decal, he prefer the dry transfer one (I think he kinda explain it on his "100 Top Coat Layer" video thing).
just put the kit together today. my fingers are sore . its joints and parts are very stiff. the guide line didn't explain so clear that i made two mistakes. the total parts are many and small. the head camera len is definitely the shittiest moment i had. i could not tell which is the front , the up or down side. i would suggest put the sticker right before you even cut it out the gate. this kit really drains my energy. it didn't take that much time but the components are stiff and abit on too many pieces. it might be similar to RG though i never build one. the size is comparable to nu gundam and sazabi HG.
The Shield, joints in the hands, foot, reminds me of crappy victory ver ka.. just a suggestion for your channel, would you review another old or 2.0 MG kit, it feels nostalgic and awesome in some way.
Thanks for the review, and your rating system is looking good so far. Easy to comprehend. Good point ! As for this kit, I really don't feel it. First, for a Gundam, I find it surprisingly small. It's odd to me. But the part where I have the most doubt is the engineering. This kit looks quite simplistic, the gimmicks are cool, but not really groundbreaking. Stiff kit with limited articulations (the knees as you said, but even the arm bend didn't impressed me). I was more impressed with the GM Sniper (wich I bought). Although I understand how one might like the old school feeling, I prefer my MG with more complex (or sharp) ingeneering.
This is going to be a late comment but some defence to the victory, it was more designed with the transformation mechanism in mind, but instill understand slot of the complaints it gets, I see it more as a fan service kit for people who just like victory like me
Like those moving mechanics on the shield & side skirts.. Mucho cool. Is it wierd that I love the bottom of its feet!? - not just the usual mass of red plastic Curious to know what the LED would do to the kit/what parts would glow
It looks cool! I'm a fan of this kit, however I already got the original and somehow wanted them to change it up a bit. However that won't stop me from buying this either way.
Yeah, I ended up screwing up the dry transfers on mine, so I ended up ordering water slides meant for the older kit. Hopefully, the red isn't that much darker but it was a big let down for me when I saw those dry transfer decals.
Any chance you could show off more dynamic poses of the kit during or towards the end of the review? I feel that when you see a kit in different poses with its accessories it gives a better impression of what it will look like on the shelf.
Thanks for the review. What's holding the MG Jesta from being in gold? It's easily one of my favorite MG's( and I have built more than 50 of them) due to it being so solid.
I don’t blame you on messing up the articulation, the directions don’t really tell you go to manipulate the joints. Additionally the kit is very stiff so you can get scared to manipulate things to their full range.
How would you rate (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Brown) the MG Full Armor Gundam Thunderbolt Ver. Ka? Or the MG Unicorn Gundam [Full Armor] Ver. Ka? (Directed at Mecha Gaikotsu and anyone willing to answer)
Not sure if there's an actual defect you're talking about or, that you don't know it's part of the design of the mobile suit. I'll assume it the former, because the bicep is also like that. I'm not sure what you mean though
Phantom Gett the 1.0 i have do have intentional gaps (the ones you panel line for solid lines which the 2.0 made better) no im talking about defect that prevents it from snapping close properly. As in theres a jank noticeable gap thats not intended.
I looked in the manual to see if I'm missing something, but it's supposed to snap together and only have a small gap. I will just use cement at this point though.
My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a spinning beam saber effect.
I cracked up when I saw the Gundam doing that during the movie- I actually think it would look comedic as a pose
I love how most of the kits he mentioned in this video have moved up a tier in his later videos
I feel like he would move up this kit to gold today because of aspects like the color separation, gold plating, and some other aspects like part separation
If the HG OO Sky can be gold tier, this can too
You can actually bend the knee a bit more. You can pull out the knee joint to give it a deeper bend. The ankles can also allow the feet to point further down but you have to pull the ankle joint a bit.

Mecha Gaikotsu Gundam Awards.
LoneSoul06 MGGAWARDS
Mech, still waiting for MG Full Armor Gundam part 2 you know.
-_-. -_- -_-
top 10 cancelled anime
CHICKEN EGGS same
the MG FA Gundam Ver Ka(a.k.a evil brother of RX 78-2) review was forgotten by him years ago
Well whaddya know, that didn't age well.
the forearms are actually supposed to *snap* into place, like the zaku legs. they then dont fall out easily
Dry Transfers? IN A MASTER GRADE?!
What a miracle I thought they quit using those!
I think they keep it for UC kits. To keep the OG fans happy. Too bad the stickers aren't waterslides 💦
Mecha Gaikotsu My Freedom 2 had dry transfers
all the Wing kits have them, GM Snipers (maybe just the custom not sure) the new SEED ones (and the old ones too i think, at least the strikes do).
The only MGs that include water slides are ver Kas or P-Bandai models. Aaaaand there are some MGs that only include marking stickers
1:30 Don’t forget your own personal bias.
Nice
Expected a HGUC Tristan mention with the brown tier XD
I have absolutely loved building this kit!
Gonna buy this! It's same tier as Jesta and F91 has a special place in my heart. My first Gunpla was Gundam F91 SD. I got it when I was 6 and it's with up to this day
Which car is the f91 Gundam based off?
Datsun i think
To me, this Gundam is the most esthetically most beautiful design. Hands down! I found this in Little Tokyo, thinking there is no master grade. I bought it off the shelf.
after i build it, the leg bend actualy have three joint, the third joint is pull out joint on the lower section of leg, and you can bend the feet down not just the front feet parts, it looks more natural and humanesque than other "break feet" gunpla.
Youre taling about the joint that moves the piston right?
My go to gunpla reviewer
I mean, for the most part this does just feel like what a 2.0 should be, which is just an all around upgrade to the original kit.
It's a big concern honestly that the frame is pure abs because it always caused problems with the 1.0, but I wonder if bandai made the problems less prevalent
Just realized how he talked about most 2.0's having changes despite 90% of the 2.0's sticking to the anime look except for the joints
He also has a secret raiting system. With a bonus mem*cough* rating.
YAAAAASSSSSS ABS frame, that alone gets a gold from me
I would definitely say that this is still an improvement over the original mg f91 from 2006.
Got my F91 yesterday, can't wait to assemble it asap.
The knee articulation isn’t that bad, really that’s all u need.
This is my first MG kit that i could build and i think building a RG kits really helps me for build it without causing any problem ...
Looks like it came straight out of some kunio okawara art!
If only the 2.0 came with the Rafflesia like the original, then it would have been perfect.
pssst.... *whispers* P-Bandai
and if it had leg articulation like the 1.0
Yep, that’s why I’m probably going to end up picking up both of them.
@@Sam-ip2mz leg articulation is actually good. You just need to pull/slide the leg out a bit.
I'm watching this before I go to watch the f190 movie they put on RUclips I am pumped
This really makes me appreciate the F 91 design more
I'm building this kit this week. I'm so hyped for it!
This is an interesting new tier system you got there. You've got a fast and efficent way to get feelings out without words. F91 looks great!
i do wonder if the leg design has something to do with the f91 metal build's advertising the figure as care like but ended up looking a tad more mechanical instead and the ver2 was a way of "correcting" themselves for it, since the the ver2 kits so far are basically metal build inspired....
I'm still waiting for rg version of f91
7:53 when will I watch this part without getting the wrong idea
Your reviews get the mecha gaikotsu gold award
F91 should've been a full length series :'( BANDAI WHYYYY!?!?!?
The new rating sys is great, it made the whole review clearer about the pros and cons when you watch it with the rate in mind.
For the time being I stick to HGs bc even them can be expensive and hard to buy in my country. Is there any of them that you are looking forward for the release?
I like the zooming in when you were showing the accessories.
F91 looks cool
MG Age-1 Titus review when? It's an old kit, but surprisingly good.
Also sticker decals are way worse than dry transfers
I think he is joking about dry transfers being awesome. You know, like a "joke".
Dry Transfers are great if they go on flat surfaces.
Putting them on curved surfaces and bumpy parts? That’s where they become a pain.
That box art is perfect
just put the kit together today. my fingers are sore . its joints and parts are very stiff. the guide line didn't explain so clear that i made two mistakes. the total parts are many and small. the head camera len is definitely the shittiest moment i had. i could not tell which is the front , the up or down side. i would suggest put the sticker right before you even cut it out the gate. this kit really drains my energy. it didn't take that much time but the components are stiff and abit on too many pieces. it might be similar to RG though i never build one. the size is comparable to nu gundam and sazabi HG.
The way the face plate transforms reminds me a lit of optimus prime's battle mask
This is great to custom into rxf 91 gundam
And the transformable head looks like a predator
Thanks so much for the review !!! I started this kit today. Wish me luck
Did you mean Seabook?? I never remembered Cecili Fairchild piloting the f91
Tyler Kelley she didn't. I think he made a mistake.
TheKrowSama I was debating if she flys one In the crossbone mangas
Tyler Kelley oh, not sure about the manga. I just remember the OVA. To wiki I go.
I've actually heard this kit doesn't come with Seabrook, just Cecili. Pretty strange decision lol
Actually they both come with the kit. Cecili is that figure he shows us, and Seabook is a pilot sitting in the cockpit
This is probrably my favorite gundam :)
The Shield, joints in the hands, foot, reminds me of crappy victory ver ka..
just a suggestion for your channel, would you review another old or 2.0 MG kit, it feels nostalgic and awesome in some way.
i never clicked so fast in my life
I still get surprised at how small the F91 is but regardless, its a really beautiful kit.

I was more impressed with the GM Sniper (wich I bought).
Although I understand how one might like the old school feeling, I prefer my MG with more complex (or sharp) ingeneering.
Just picked this kit up, I'm super excited
Suggestion Box:
MG Perfect Zeong™
All I want is a mega size neo zeong just to see how massive it would be
I now know that it woild be almost 8 feet tall. Don't know if they could even manage that one chief
This is going to be a late comment but some defence to the victory, it was more designed with the transformation mechanism in mind, but instill understand slot of the complaints it gets, I see it more as a fan service kit for people who just like victory like me
100th comment
And yet another great reveiw by the human gundam dantalion
Like those moving mechanics on the shield & side skirts.. Mucho cool. Is it wierd that I love the bottom of its feet!? - not just the usual mass of red plastic
Curious to know what the LED would do to the kit/what parts would glow
It looks so shiny right out of the box yeah!!!.
Did everyone forget about the 3rd joint in the knees you have to pull down to further boost the articulation? .-.
Omg... that eyes
This new rating system is an A+/10
Should be ;
Platinum
Gold
Silver
Bronze
Brown
Double Myrrh
Heh you've been playing Pubg eh?
It looks cool! I'm a fan of this kit, however I already got the original and somehow wanted them to change it up a bit. However that won't stop me from buying this either way.
I was waiting for this.
It's a neat model, but what I really need to know is... where can I get an awesome table like that from?
IKEA, glasholm
Thanks. Knew the top looked familiar, but that soft under-light... real nice setup.
Yeah, I ended up screwing up the dry transfers on mine, so I ended up ordering water slides meant for the older kit. Hopefully, the red isn't that much darker but it was a big let down for me when I saw those dry transfer decals.
I know this was 4 years ago but how did they come out?
Gonna go buy this bad boi right now!
Looking forward to your new rating system.. Looks promising.
Do reviews for all the recent master grade kits plsss. Especially mg fa78 😄
RIP Kouji Tsujitani (Seabook's seiyuu)
13:48 literally the most infuriating part of any kit I’ve ever built was getting that damn hand to hold onto the vsbr
Love the new tier system
I don’t blame you on messing up the articulation, the directions don’t really tell you go to manipulate the joints. Additionally the kit is very stiff so you can get scared to manipulate things to their full range.
I love how it's just Gold, Silver and Bronze and then immediately to poop. This is why you're awesome!
I like the out of box ranking
How about the non gundam model kits/toys? Do you still using that rating system?
So are you going to retro apply the rating to previous reviews? Maybe a video?
Nah, just movin' on forward from here
Ah, fair enough.
This is an awesome kit!
How would you rate (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Brown) the MG Full Armor Gundam Thunderbolt Ver. Ka? Or the MG Unicorn Gundam [Full Armor] Ver. Ka? (Directed at Mecha Gaikotsu and anyone willing to answer)
both Silver, but FA Ver. Ka mostly because it's balanced in Bronze Tier and Gold Tier aspects
@Mecha Gaikotsu, by far the best Gunpla reviewer period! Thanks for the ranking systems and as always, loving your work!
Still worth it though, good quality too..
delta plus brown? What the hell I love that kit
Will you post a video giving a brief rerate of previously reviewed kits? Love the 4 rating scale by the way.
No time to move backwards I'm afraid! Only forward from here
Do you had issue with your freedom 2.0 after it stands for some time? Mine became so stiff that i brake the waist joint when I tried to pose it...
Can you show us your new layout for your Gunpla, because from what you showed in this episode it looks really cool
Can you kitbash this with the old one to give it the best of both worlds?
メカ骸骨さんのレビューやっぱり最高だぜ!
I remember that the face transforms to shoot out a laser, am I correct?
No, it vents heat for the supercomputer in the head so it can go stupid fast
I just remembered that my physics teacher’s last name is Fairchild
*eternal Wind intesifies*
I lost it when he said about cat-like face
Another epic review
Question: do the thigh armor snap close properly? Thekrowsama built this too and he showed that his dont snap close properly so theres a noticable gap
Not sure if there's an actual defect you're talking about or, that you don't know it's part of the design of the mobile suit. I'll assume it the former, because the bicep is also like that. I'm not sure what you mean though

Imagine this but as a car?
Great review
