Someone claimed that I had a flat tire on my one week old tires which was false, but my account was suspended until I took pictures of my car from all four sides to show that the tires were all inflated.
It may be market specific, but here in Chicago, if you have UberX on and you get a surge, it does get included in the UberEats delivery offer. The thing is it doesn’t show in the offer screen (with the surge mark icon and amount) If you do the order, the surge does show up on details, however. Now if your UberX filter is off, there is no surge.
@@bradheld7927 good point, or I think someone said just ignore the UberX and you'll still get surge on UE. I'll have to test the above theory that it may be on the backend but I don't remember ever getting it recently.
I'm out in Monroeville. In my opinion, Uber Eats has it good days and bad days. The customers definitely tip better on Uber Eats than Doordash. I also wish that work areas were set up better. I'm not going from Monroeville to Downtown Pittsburgh for anything.
Uber also conveniently doesn't tell drivers that the surge dollar amounts you see are max values. In marketing this is referred as "up to". Ex. the surge right now could be up to $6.00. Although frustrating this makes sense because the data used for the surge algorithm is fluid and changes literally every second. Don't ever waste your time with support challenging that you should've received higher surge pay because that's exactly what they will tell you.
Good point, exactly. I can be sitting in the surge zone and get lesser amounts. I will say they're still pushing rideshare HARD here in Pittsburgh, at least on my profile I see huge surge amounts.
I just look at the historical data in my market, naturally its higher around lunch/dinner, go out for a bit, if orders start to slow down after an hour or two then I pack it in. Luckily I live in a suburban area with restaurants a couple min away. Sometimes I'll turn the app on when I'm home and if an order comes in I'll head out and do it.
I am a ubereats customer and have been talking with delivery people lately because about 2 months ago uber did something to their customer service that is not letting us get refunds for missing items in our orders. They just tell you that your order isn't eligible for refund. If you push for more help they want photos of your missing item plus the receipt. Not sure how to take a picture of something I didn't get lol. But even if you show them proof of an order being wrong they will just straight up not respond. Or say they'll get to you within 48 hours, then 2 days later they will say its been too long since your order for them to act. I decided to stop using the service completely because so many places aren't filling the orders properly and then uber won't do anything about it. I don't know what happened at the end of February but the drivers didn't know things had changed on the customer side.
Btw I'm not blaming the drivers, this is an issue with the food places and ubers help system, not the drivers. They aren't even aware that stuff is missing since the bags are sealed.
Both of at your DoorDash and Uber eats are different and different marketplaces like in Pittsburgh DoorDash is wonderful Lorain Ohio doordash not so well just like Uber all depends on your market
I had some one compromise my account by stealing my personal information and creating a rider and driver account with my ID but with their face from Illinois and locked me out of UBER for two and a half weeks until Uber decided that because I am of one shade of human that is clearly seen on my id and the other person was not me..... luckily I have other apps to use but they don't have the same volume but kept me afloat....I learned you don't have any idea someone has stolen your information until your account is deactivated......
Im in a small market in North Carolina and I typically do Uber Eats but I want to ride share at times but does anyone know why when I use Uber X it does not show me the fare amount or miles for destination? I saw on your Tesla rental video that it gives you the amount, distance to pick up the client and how far they are going.
After you deduct vehicle expenses using IRS .67/mi. You're making less than min. wage. I know; people will say "but I use a less expensive vehicle etc." If you're COMPLETELY honest with your calculations; depreciation, maintenance, insurance, and fuel. You'll find that .67/mi figure real close to the average vehicle expense. This is why they stopped teaching accounting to our kids.
How about when you start a dash they ask you when you'd like to dash until. I'm the last 6 months I've had my dashes extended by 30 minutes without my permission more than 50 times.
Hi Mike, My name is Alex. Generally, I’d like to know if you can recommend a few deliveries apps where allow me to work and sign up with an LLC and using EIN number instead of a social security number? / Registering or sign up with an LLC /, I’m just simply wondering if are there other ways I can work in the GIG industry other than using social security number? I would be really appreciating if you could shed some light or have thought on mind. Thank you.
Hm you may want to look at courier apps. Can't think off the top of my head but medical courier, LTL routes and maybe the 'all in one' apps like Dropoff, Reliable Couriers, Dispatch -- ones that cover a lot of delivery niches.Generally I'd just review their sign up process and see if the option's there. That or reach out to support to ask.
I’m feeling it too. December, January and February were such good months, but in March….the order have been HORRIBLE. I was told by one of the CS reps that Uber is now charging the customer more in service charges. Our tips are going to Uber now.
Man it feels like this app has fallen off a cliff since I did it 5 years ago. I could do two airport runs in the morning and walk away with 150 with the surge boosters. It was so much better years ago. Don’t understand why Uber is paying less and less every year.
Falls in line with their quarterly calls. They keep talking about lessening surge unfortunately. First profitable quarter a bit ago and that's just one part of the reason why.
hate new hampshire no surge no bonus only saturday and sunday like 8 trip $8 u cant even accept that orders so low pay and long rides, doordash peak only weaather is bad +1$ just only 1-2 hour, amazon flex deactivate me for no reason i am waiting list, walmart spark and grubhub say area is full i am waiting like 100 days and more. UE orders sometimes good i see $30 pay 10 miles i drivo restourant and they are saying someone already pick up really hate that 10 miles drive losing time and money and need to go back again other resturants 10 mile more..
0:50 that right there is a huuugggeeee mess... surge DOES yes DOES apply to UE deliveries and it is a whole mess. uber has stolen thousands of dollars from me and others. it is a long story so imma just leave at that. when i have time i will talk to a lawyer and sue uber because i havent receive surge pay for UE for a loonnnngggggg time and i was supposed to receive it -_-'

Think that was just a personal spite, why would they target the tires? Think they saw/felt something? See food delivery passengers never complain 😂🌯

The hack used to be if you didn’t want UberX requests, you could turn on package to get the Surge map, but that doesn’t work anymore.

i am in the DC, MD, VA area and yes surge does apply for UE here. uber is stealing lots of money from drivers not paying them surge.
I'm in Pittsburgh, too, and Uber Eats is way better than DD. It's not even close.
Wow interesting. My profile is awful for UE. Definitely driver-specific offers going on there I feel

Recent thing I've noticed is connect requests people trying to use package connect as a ride ticket
I been driving since 2019. I remember you when I did this full-time. Damn I am glad I don't survive on that app anymore.

Uber in major markets needs to do better job with safety. I was robbed at gun point and 7 drivers killed since December
I’m glad you are alive !

I had that happen ! I personally handed a order to a customer and they reported I didn’t deliver their food.
I always take pictures when I hand an order to a customer and I keep those pics for 30 days to cover myself
I actually laughed to the support agent (not at them just about the situation) because I KNEW my customer was being super shady.
Thank you for this information, good to know.
Glad to help!

Can you do a video on how to get more orders for Uber Eats on a E bike?
Besides good info did you hit the vape of that Ouuie Ahh before you recorded 😆

What happened to the weekend promotions?
Great question, what market are you in? I haven't seen delivery Quests/Boosts/Surge in some time
