Perfect video. I have this pextra pair I got from someone but could use it because the shel rosh was too small. With this video, I was able to adjust it and it's perfect. ישר כח
Received my first set of Gassot Tefillin today from a maker called HaSofer in Israel. Thank you for showing me the knot adjustment, Rabbi Kass! Shalom and have a blessed day!
Thank you. Your videos for making the double dalet kesher and for modifying the size of the egul that surrounds the head were really clear. Had to replace the retzua as I saw that it had begun to split but finding someone close to be able to tie the kesher was a challenge.
Thank you, very informative. Are you sure that leshem kedushas tefillin needs to be said when adjusting the size? I heard that since, when adjusting size, the actual dalet never actually loses it's shape you don't need to say it, at least in the case of the dalet knot. Can you please corroborate this?
It's probably a grey area. Many times in the process of resizing the knot it has to be opened up at least partially. Never hurts to be on the safe side.
:) one of my weaknesses is that I'm very very thorough... Thanks for your feedback I really appreciate it. By the way there is a way to speed up a video when playing on RUclips. Kol Tuv.
