Yeah I was so surprised when I smelt it at the airport taxfree shop. I probably sampled about 30 different designer fragrances that time and the one that really caught me by surprise was Bleu Noir EDP. Had to get myself a bottle.
That Terre D Hermes Eau Givre'e is 🔥 May get it next summer even though it's not a powerhouse. Like the knurled finish on the cap of Akdeniz. The bottle presentation overall is quite nice. I can tell though that you gonna have to dig in that wallet a bit to bring that one home with you. Like the presentation on that Narciso Rodriguez too. Reminds me a bit of the English Laundry line but 200% better esthetically. Great vid. Enjoy your stay in the U.K.
Excellent list! These 10's are too tough. I leave that to pros - like you! My moods flash too often. Lately though Fougere Royale has been my office constant. Have a Great Day!
Hey Justin, I hope you are enjoying the UK. I'm sure you've considered picking up a few fragrances whilst you are here. Narcisco Rodriguez Bleu Noir Parfum would be a safe bet! Great video as always. You can't go wrong with Hermes. Eau Givrée and H24 are great - I'm waiting for my EDP bottle to arrive from France, hopefully early next week. I got Amouage Overture Man, for a great price, earlier in the year (April/May) so haven't been able to wear it properly yet. Its almost time to put away the summer freshies and dig out the cooler weather scents.
Uh ha. Like like this format. From Day1 when your voice stood out masculinely all the way to this presentation's format, you continue to impress. Sure This format has been used before by you & others. You just flowed so smoothly & informatively than has been witnessed before, imho. Keep doing what you're doing. Frankly, you have a competence we love to see.
Kind of iffy with rose fragrances but love olibanum/myrrh fragrances. May need a sample I’ve said before, Overture reminds me of sipping a good scotch with my favorite cigar. One of my top 5 favorites. Yes to more category videos
This was a good video!! You should do a genre defining fragrance series… For example, if you wanted to tell someone they should try a barbershop, these 5 fragrances are what it means to to define it!
Great list sir. Check out the Orto Parisi line of fragrances. This Italian house of wonders deserves more recognition. I own Viride, Brutus and Terroni. Thanks again for all you do here.
Really enjoy the series thus far, I was also able to predict several of your choices. One of those choices in particular i feel the exact way that you did because I did the smell as you have. Creed Royal Oud, I've had a decant for over a year now and compared to when I 1st got it, I'm miles away. I'm Def getting a full bottle in the future.
Hello Justin, how are you? I'm digging the video and list. Keep up the good work and I would like to see another one. Stay safe brother and hi to Grace
Awesome content again Justin. I love you choices as far as I know them. Please surprise us with more of these different approuches to fragrances. My personal choises would be: Citrus: Eau Sauvage EdT. Just the old school lemon-bergamot combo does it for me. Barbershop/ fougère: Chanel Platinum Égoïste. A lot of my scents fit into this accord, but this one I wear the most. Fresh -Spicy: Paco Rabanne XS. Aquatic: Tom Ford Costa Azzurra. This one beats Profumo but with a photo finish. Floral: Montale Greyland (Not typical floral but has a wonderful rose in it) Fruity: Not my cup of tea, just like gourmand scent. Musky: I got a few with musk in it, but not actualy musk prominent/ heavy. For this one I choose Montale Greyland again. Woody: Ormonde Jayne Ormonde man. This one has some very unique notes in it, which makes it stand out from all other woody scents I own. Vanilla: Panama 1924. It's a supportive note in this sophisticated scent, but the best I smelled so far. Boozy: Guerlain Homme. Mojito and summer... and still office safe.
As much as I swore off purchasing any new fragrances I got me a bottle of Akdeniz. I heard of it a while back on your channel, got a sample and omg almost immediately got a full bottle. It will replace all my blue fragrances.
Hey Justin, if you like Instant Crush try Montale's Arabians Tonka. Pretty similar, but i find Arabians Tonka is way better imo. And it performs in a whole other level too
🤣 When I heard you say "citrus" I instantly new "Eau Givree" is next. As much as "linear"as I find it, I do have to say that it's really good...doesn't last that long, somewhere in the 4-5 hours realm. At the end of the day...I choose the original Terre d'hermes edt, it speaks to me more even if Eau Givree is more versatile. Can't get Gravitas anywhere in Germany although I reached out to Mr. Smelly directly, he doesn't care sending this outside U. K. in Europe, or maybe I'm crazy. Overture Man...is a Masterpiece. Believe it or not, I prefer the opening more that the drydown, it's a must have. Overture Woman is getting discontinued I think, I'm not entirely sure...Thanks man, great content as usual 😎👍
@@stayfreshproductions it's fine. It's not like I can't get it if I really want it. But it would cost me around 180 euro (shipping included) and there's a website that sells Interlude Man Black Iris for 200, I'd rather get that instead 😎
Hey bro Justin, great video yeah I have amouage overture man great fragrance yep anytime I wear it I always received compliments and have a blessing weekend peace ✌️ 🇬🇧
I do like the categories review and appreciate your descriptions of the categories themselves in addition to the picks. Also apologies if you've already done this and I missed it, but I feel like it might fit your theme of "buy samples first" and be very productive to do a video or series emphasizing notes that are absolute turn offs for some people especially when the specific note is not particularly known to most people outside of the perfume world. For example, while I like the majority of the scent profile there's something in Roja Scandal and Apex I find to smell a bit fecal and it turns me away from the idea of purchasing them. Similarly there's something in a lot of Acqua di Parma scents that I find very soapy. I'm sure everyone has their own fragrance pet peeves, but I'd bet there are certain notes that make fragrances very hit or miss regardless of what they're paired with. Ironically what made me think of this during the video was your focus on grapefruit as the choice for citrus which is often a miss for me though not quite in the category of a deal breaker (I recognize that's a personal preference thing and am not knocking your choice), but at least its a commonly known scent. It feels far more challenging to associate with elements where I'm not certain what the note smells like, especially when not all notes are listed by brands.
That’s an interesting idea! It would be a tricky one to execute because of what you mentioned-everyone’s taste is different! So while some are completely turned off by cumin (that might be what you’re not digging in Roja’s scents), others absolutely love it or at least don’t mind it. And it could be the Neroli you’re not enjoying in AdP’s stuff. That’s why I try to at least mention notes that could possibly be polarizing when I mention a fragrance I enjoy that contains them. I will continue to do that! But the last thing I want to do it turn people off from trying certain fragrances because of a particular note-the blend, proportioning, and many other variables can change the way an ingredient is perceived.
Great selection. Got to sample Royal oud the other day, what a classy scent, definitely a must buy in my opinion. Instant crush never leaves my shelf 😎
Of the listed, I had a sample of Declaration... Its ok, but not one I'd rush for. I recently got a sample of Signature Rose and OMG, do I love it!!!!!!! That rose with the other notes blend well and stay on and it is smooth and pleasant. Not only is it as signature worthy as B&S and BOP, but it temporarily replaces my Fanette The Fatale Rose, which is a more metallic rose. Until I get the chance to buy a full bottle, Im buying more samples. I'm sold...
Hope your time is going well overseas! Just wanted to say I think there is a fragrance definitely in same family as Signature Rose, and that gem is none other than Rose Magnetic from Essential Parfums. Signature Rose is more incensy airy whereas Rose Magnetic is airy light sweet candyish. Smell very similar and both fantastic

I just got my first bottle of NR bleu noir EDP and wore it to work in 80 degree weather the other day. I gotta say at first impression it was more powdery/feminine and not as citrus as id hoped BUT after the drydown i really appreciate the sweet musk. its got this woody dry down with almost a grapefruity? smell that only gets more masculine the longer its on the skin I feel. Still really new to the cologne world.
Gotta smell that blue noir. Tacking up the JC videos that are all about it. Huge musk fan. It seems to be a stable mention, not a onetime promo. Great advice re overture. I'm a big Amouage fan so was disappointed. I did the up close smell at first (more than once to be fair) and decided its not for me. Smelled like an ash tray in a therapists waiting room from 1986. Smelled it again from a friends decant via the sprayer - meaning the dry down - and changed my mind.

I guess Im the only one who prefers either of the H24 concentrations over Eau Givree. Theres just entirely too much grapefruit in Eau Givree for my taste.
I HAVE AN IDEA FOR A GAME!!! So take at least three couple's (not necessarily romantic, but should know each other). The person in the couple that knows the least about fragrance is given one perfume to smell and do their very best to describe. Then you show the other person the video of them describing it and give them 3 perfumes test strips and make them guess which one of the 3 they're partner was describing
You swim alone in your lane in how you display your creativity. Thanks for the original content.

You gotta do another ☝️
Another well-put video. Thanks, Justin! I have to try the new Terre D'Hermes Eau Givree, I'm hearing great thighs about it.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Dang bro would've thought Tabac 28 would have made the list
There was no tobacco category in this video! 😉
make PERFUMES with
YOUSUF BHAI from india
Hey Justin, let's see what you got for us
You have to try Danse Sauvage by Chris Collins. Such an incredible fragrance, that has a boozy element to it.
I guess Im the only one who prefers either of the H24 concentrations over Eau Givree. Theres just entirely too much grapefruit in Eau Givree for my taste.
“ My wife “. ……
😁😁
If a scent was perfect you throw all others away. for me there is no 10. I have 16 9s.
Jamie, this is actually brilliant! Thank you!! Might give something like this a shot sometime.
Absolutely continue the different category series. Thank you for sharing
