Brilliant. Great music to showcase the movies! What a delight.
When he came from Blue Harbour to pick up his mail at Tower Isle Hotel, where my parents worked, he would always ask for my mother because he found her so charming! At least, that's the family lore...and I hope it's true! I've been telling everyone he's my real father for years! (I know there's a small problem with that theory...)
Truly a life well-lived.
This is amazing, wonderful and fantastic!!!!! Thank you Mr .Coward!!!
This is fabulous! Noel was such a talent and such a great personality. I wish I could have known him. Love him ❤
This so beautiful. How lovely he sings. Truly an Englishman
Spectacular and beautiful vanities as should become known by love ❤
I'm just (re-)reading his autobiographies and it's good to be able to put faces to names
Me too, I think he’s terrific!
If you get a chance to read his diaries, do. They sure gave a new perspective to many shows, personalities and some history, l Iike a 'friend's eye view' of the King Edward/Wallis Simpson situation. Quite a read.
British talent not forgotten 🎶
Truly amazing video by truly one of the best of Britishness ,when being British meant something, and times of the greatest generation, thank you for putting this delightful video on.
Absolutely fascinating!
Wonderful to see!
Sinatra was a great admirer of Noel Coward's singing--of his phrasing. Astaire the singer was also influenced by Noel's superb phrasing.
I just saw "The Fablemans" not too long ago. These home movies beat the hell out of Spielberg's, perhaps because they were made with love and warmth and human understanding, as opposed to...oh, well.
Amazing! Though familiar with the name of Noel Coward I never knew of him as a person until recently. What recently showed up in my recommends was his "Blithe Spirit" in which he performed with Lauren Bacall and Claudett Colbert. Those two ladies were STARS!! who I am familiar with. Knew he was a playwright but didn't know he was also an actor, singer. Thank you so much for sharing this home movie! Love the insight into his life of leisure and to see his "friends" actors and actresses who were the definition of MOVIE STAR. And, to listen to him signing his own creations in the background. Wow!! He was a very talented man. Again, many, many THANKS for sharing this home movie treasury of some of his fond memories.
Noel wrote 300 songs 🎶

Does anyone know what millimeter format 8 mm, 16 mm? Type of camera, model?
I realised later after editing this that it was not Maurice Chevalier in one of the first clips shot at Goldenhurst... perhaps someone might know who it is?
I think you are right - it looks like a young Maurice Chevalier
