Great job ladies of SoSa! I’m glad you guys have covered this story. Stroke is real and young people do get stroke. It’s not mostly talked about and thank you all for putting light on this topic. But honestly Alice is still healing both physically and mentally.
I had my stroke 2022 right after having Covid. I had a perfect physical 2 weeks before. On no medication was told to keep doing what I was doing. I was actually in the hospital waiting on emergency sinus surgery. They had given me antibiotics in IV because I had gotten sick and could not keep anything done so I could not keep antibiotics down by mouth. I got up to go to bathroom when I came back to the hospital bed I got in the bed all of a sudden my right side could not move. I could not move my fingers and toes nothing. I told my husband I could not feel my right side. He went and got the nurse. They gave me the shot to help me. I was taken to ICU I then was out of it. I don’t remember anything then I did not have any pain in my head. I did not know I had a stroke other than not moving. I had another small stroke on the opposite side because of the shot I had a brain bleed. I was told I was not making any sense when I talked. I then came down with meningitis and pneumonia. I could not start rehab and that has to be done soon. The faster you start rehab the better the out come. I was in the hospital a month then rehab 20 days. God has helped me. I have went from wheelchair to walker to cane. I now walk with a limp. I don’t feel anything on right side but I can move now. To look at me you can’t tell but I have fatigue. My brain gets so tired now. After lunch I have to rest. She explained it well. It’s strange to not feel that side even though you now can move.
When you have a stroke you REALLY find out the difference between your REAL friends and associates and family and relatives. 16 years of marriage my wife left me. Also, it's a big jump from being that person you could depend on from being that person depending on you. It's a lot of grieving, depression, and anxiety.
Proud of you Alice! Love you lil sis!❤❤

You guys might want to edit the title. I thought she was a person who didn't like Stoke-on-Trent.
Glad to see she's doing well now 🙏
😂 Thank you for catching that! 🙏🏿
