Something about these open-world games is that they always go with the "futuristic-tech-like-UI" and it just ends up looking clunky and confusing to me, when you could polish it and make it seamless which adds a lot to the experience of playing the game for the first time. Also, the movement is rigid, but i won't hold that against them as they're just starting out. We'll just have to wait as the game settles in, and gets updates/feedbacks.
To add to the interface comment, personally I thought Genshins interface was extreme for a game (but it was also my first open world RPG mobile… you get the idea). Pretty excited for ToF's release! Been looking for a game to sink my teeth into during Genshin's downtime and I think this one has potential. Hyped to be a part of it from day one too, can't wait!
This was first released in China with alot of hype because they thought if Genshin had competition then Genshin would give out more rewards. But then the ToF server crashed cus people were trying to get in the game. And people had to wait hours and even days to get into the game.
So there's a lot of people saying that ToF will force Hoyoverse into making Genshin Impact better. Here's a piece of my mind as someone who played ToF for 2 weeks: Genshin and ToF are completely different games, although ToF has stolen some aspects of Genshin, ToF is based on co-op and combat mostly, where story becomes a really overlooked part of it, where Genshin is clearly a single player based game, which focuses heavily on story, music, character backstories, details, etc, thus the reason the people that want endgame in a story-based game won't shush. ToF has attracted a really small portion of Genshin's audience, less than 1%, although you won't believe me. ToF is nowhere near as popular as Genshin, with search volumes around 2% of what Genshin Impact had before launch, although ToF should've had more considering it has 'attracted' Genshin's playerbase, and this is even lower in countries like Japan and China (>1%). In my honest and humble opinion, Genshin is not something that needs competition to become better, it's something that becomes better overtime, owing to the past efforts of the devs. The 3.0 update leaks are living proof of this.

@@whydidntyoucomeforlesson well, endgame in this case is used for stuff like abyss for example, where you can push your account to the limits until you eventually hit a wall which encourages you to farm to beat that stage, the problem is that genshin only has that and for most people that do It (me included), It takes less than 30 minutes to go from floor 9 to 12 and if you've been playing for a while even that becomes a joke... so yeah, that's the concept of endgame, it's just that GI doesn't want to make more content like that for some reason
@@whydidntyoucomeforlesson No, normie, endgame content is the content that comes at the end of every patch, meaning repeteable challenging content. This is a live service gacha, learn the basics.
doubt that's the case really

(For phone only) They should implement a way to download the game by minimizing the app and run on background just like how GI work, GI even if we didnt enter the game they will still downloading. Its a bit of a problem since i didnt want to stare on the loading screen for an hour.
I'm not really a fan of SciFi and High Tech stuff but still looking forward to this game. Though from my perspective Genshin is still better in many ways even I'm bored playing it, hopefully TOF do things that Genshin can't. We may say it is a clone of Genshin but they totally nailed from mechanics, character customization, weapon elements instead of the Character itself, though some movements, animations are pretty clunky, it is still early anyway. Can't wait to start to play this game later when this game's up.
Same. Science Fantasy and SciFi games are a turn off for me generally. Still, I'll keep an eye on it
The reason I like genshin was because of Ittoand the games overall style, which is why I don't like honkai that much because of the futuristic like style of the game but ToF seems like an exception

Very excited to get my passion back for mmos as I’m already over genshin for over a year now, I think this game has potential and deeper combat and exploration system. I really hope it doesn’t have stupid puzzles like genshin
It’s rl funny how most content creators are so afraid to compare ToF to GI now that ToF is kinda popular too lol
Like during [2:30] where you can feel Moga wanting to basically say “like Xiangling”.
New game: on top of taking a shot every time someone says “this is the GI killer”, take a shot every time you notice a content creator trying to resist saying “oh so it’s like X/Y/Z thing from GI”.
Yeah it's inspired from genshin so what? Genshin was inspired from Zelda. Tower of fantasy is an anime mmorpg period.

It feels like they took genshin's and honkai's files and put them together
@omer Anime style graphics have been around way before Genshin's existence. If you're saying Honkai because of the slow down mechanic let me remind you that a game called Bayonetta did it first, way before Honkai or even mihoyo/Hoyoverse came to existence.
@@isseihyoudou1547 still doesnt make it untrue to say that it looks like a genshin and honkai fusion
@@wearmeout1 Your statement is flawed. How does an already existing graphic style and mechanic that's been around longer than Genshin and Honkai existence combined make it a Genshin and Honkai fused game?
It might be similar to Genshin but I do see some unique things in this game. Like the fact they have PISTOLS as weapons (which is something I have imagined in Genshin) and the one character three weapon system. I might try this!
Is it me or does this game look really complicated?
Compared to the simple gameplay and UI of Genshin, Yeah it looks complicated.
For me who is used to play other gacha games besides genshin looks relatively simple, theres games out there who put 30 pop ups in the screen.
honkai is also really complicated but after a while its easy to understand
Same here
Honkai gives the same kind of impression initially but it gets easy to understand after some playtime, so the same will probably be the case here.
i will be watching your series for tower of fantasy goodluck :)
Excited to try it but it does seem to be similar to Genshin in a lot of ways, but just different enough to differentiate. The flower boss is a bit on the nose though, and some of the character designs.
Let’s see how it goes!

I'm already downloading this. I don't think any game can replace Genshin for me (I'm not a big gamer but Genshin got me in every aspect, especially the music *chef's kiss*). I'm testing TOF with an open mind
There isn't a single thing that would ever make me believe in god, but ToF looks like it could be pretty decent. It very much looks like bargain bin Genshin, but it could be entertaining and something to play when Genshin is slow. I'll be checking it out at the very least.
For breaking shields you got shield breaker weapons/characters like Meryl (ice claymore character you got) she's a shield breaker

I really wish it was on the ps4, I don't have a computer and the decent mobile device. I've been wanting to play it besides Genshin since it seems less restrictive, really cool, nice designs, nice graphics, and the lore seems interesting too.

What confuses me is the MMO part, it doesn’t seem like it’s online with tons of players in the same server that you can possibly pvp when out of safe zones etc etc so is it single player but with some online aspects?
Its more of a lobby game. I think the server limit is around 50 people. So not "massively multiplayer". There is open world pvp.
The title changed from "THIS GAME MADE ME BELIEVE IN GOD AGAIN (Tower of Fantasy)" so does that mean you didnt believe in god before?
The fact that the first title for this video was "THIS GAME MADE ME BELIEVE IN GOD AGAIN" made me smile :)
They've done some dirty powercreeping with gacha weapons right from the release on china's servers so chinese audience was raging and quit the game pretty quick. Just for you to beware that they might do same things on global server.
