Skyrim Max Destruction For All Versions

- Unfortunately, the under-10-minute version only works for people with Anniversary Edition or Acrcane Accessories from the creation club. I do have 2 other methods for people who do not have it. They are not nearly as fast but they will get you there eventually.
Destruction XP is earned by causing damage and killing enemies with the destruction class. I read that there is a forge you can stand in that will deal damage to you and will give you destruction XP for it. I could not find this forge.
For the people with arcane accessories make your way to Hob's Fall Cave and make your way until you get into a big circular room with a pike gate up. Loot for the loot chest that is called "Spell Tome Chest" The one you need is at the bottom called Unbounded Storms. You can get the rest but they're not necessary for it.
Go to Riften or Markarth Stables and walk a distance away. The spell has a large area of effect and quicksave before you cast it. When you do cast it the second you see your magicka begin to deplete continue to hold the button and open your map. Once your map is open you can let go of the attack button. Fast travel to the other Hold's stable (Riften to Markarth. Markarth to Riften.) You can tell if it's working when you look at your level bar and see that you've maxed out the bar. If not try again.
For people not wanting to cheese destruction but still want quick level the spell tome chest has some very powerful yet fun-to-use spells.
If you do not have arcane accessories another method is to grab the ritual stone just east of Whietrun and run in a crypt with lots of enemies. every time you clear a room wait and day and use the ritual stone on them and drag them all with you through the crypt. You can get all your reanimated corpses to get right behind you if you go through a door that has a loading screen. Wait a day and head back in for more repeat the process until you have a whole crypt of draugr in a room. Place down a fire rune and like it with flame. You can then wait a day, reanimate them, and do it all over again until you have max destruction.
The last and worst option I've seen is to put your game on legendary difficulty and use a destruction spell on your horse or to conjure something and then kill it with flame. It took way too long from level 15 to 16 so I would not do this one.
There are multiple destruction trainers in Skyrim but none can be followers not allowing free levels. Faralda at the College of Winterhold is a master trainer and you could pay your way to level 100.

It feels very old school youtube actually like it. Like skyrim makes me nostalgic.
A couple points:
1. Destruction XP is based on both the base magicka cost of the spell and the base damage of the spell, before cost reductions and damage bonuses.
2. Destruction XP from damage is actually REDUCED on higher difficulties, reaching -75% XP penalty on Legendary. The highest difficulty that Destruction gives 100% XP is Adept.
3. In order to receive XP, the spell must hit a valid target AND deal damage; the target does not need to be hostile, and can be essential, so targets like Shadowmere are valid; even the player themself is a valid target.
Since it's based on magicka cost, this makes the rune spells (the highest base cost being the Lightning Rune; the only spells with a higher base cost are Fire Storm, Blizzard, and Thunderbolt) the best spells to use for Destruction grinding. With 323 base cost + 50 base damage/target, with a single target, it should take ~1100 casts of Lightning Rune to go from 15 to 100, reduced to ~820 with 1.3x XP from Mage Stone + Well Rested. (Just for clarity, this doesn't take into account starting at 25 when you can first learn Lightning Rune)
This isn't useful reaching 100 the first time through, but if you've already gone Legendary with Destruction and learned Blizzard before resetting, you can use that to rapidly level since it damages yourself and has a base cost of 1106, requiring only ~500 casts (~370 with 1.3x XP).
Standing in forges should still level up Destruction VERY slowly; any forge except the Sky Forge should work. The damage from forges is actually created in-game by a script causing the player to cast a Destruction spell on themself, but for some reason they made it a non-zero base cost so it actually gives Destruction XP.
Lol have literal thousands of hours into skyrim and learned something new. Never thought of using lightning rune and taking damage to grind destruction. And it’s effective and efficient. Have a like good sir.

Itend to max out enchanting, then craft fortify destruction enchants at 25% each, giving 100% magicka cost reduction. Then i just spam the fire rune on every enemy.

I haven't gotten to Hobbs Fall yet in my current save, but I used strangulation on the horse rapid fire, and it got destruction up pretty quickly
I've been using the glitch to sell a merchant's items to him to abuse trainer npcs.
First , the trainer must also sell items so whenever you train you get your gold back and also can get more gold for higher skill training by reseting their inventory (also it's good for getting free items too since you can both buy the item and get back the gold)
While doing this you will be leveling your skill of choice and speech at the same time. At low levels , under 20ishy , this process will go quick because you will level up verry fast . Later , however , you will need either a verry expensive item (such as a daedric sword) sell it to the trainer so it's in their stock and than sell it over and over with the glitch to level up speech. Alternatively , I like to level up skills such as illusion , conjuration or alteration to get a quick level up.
I could suggest the following skills if you would consider using it in no particular order mind you :
-Enchanting with Neloth
-Smithing with Eorlund (the companion smith) or Gunmar in Dawunguard
-Restoration at with the Wintherhold mage for level 75(to get necromage) or siding with Dawnguard and saving Florentius
-Alchemist in Whiterun to get the level for Restoration loop.

What do I do if the spells do no not load into the chest in hobs cave?

When i do this in my playthroughs i usually will go fort dawnguard to i think castle volikar of something near the corner of solitude and it almost maxed it out each time.
So it's good to see one I can do that doesn't require starting dawnguard
I did Riften and Markarth just because a carriage can take you right to it.
i have the arcane thing but the spell isn't appearing in the chest for me

@@ShorkWasTaken yeah the chest is there but nothing, I have closed the game and loaded a save before I started the dungeon and still it’s not in there.

@@ShorkWasTaken I hadn’t no, i went there found out there was no chest, brought the arcane package came back to a save before i entered the dungeon and it still wasn’t in there, just the first few

The forge is in riverwood, but it is ungodly slow.
Balimund's forge in Riften also works, and I think it's faster than the horse/daedra method. You just have to jump like once every 2.5 to 3 seconds to get damaged.

The chest is not in the ordinary version of skyrim , ive searched that chamber from top to bottom, there is no spelll tome chest on the right of the bookcase

Why i cant find tha ancient spell chest when im in the same room and same spot where he found it but in my game its nowhere to be seen?

Something a person can do is make a nice fortify destruction potion and cast some kind of rune in a cave full of bandits or something. Works like a charm for me, deals a ton of damage cause the potion increases the radius of the rune's effects. Bonus: it's funny as heck watching the bandits fly away from the blast of one rune.

The lightning was really loud and muffling my voice. The clip split must've been longer than I expected. I don't say anything during it though. My voice and the games audio are in different spots. I was just showing off the spell for fun.

This is cool but i dont understand why people would use it? If you are role playing then its just cheating but if you plan to cheat why not just use a console command and get whatever you want immediately.
There's only console commands on pc

Ive yet to find an expert or master desctruction spell and im like level 27 or 28. Highest i have is Fireball/ice thingy and thats Adept. Where do i get expert and master destruction spells?
The best place to find higher level spells is the destruction teacher at the college of winterhold. Faralda can sell them to you. The higher your destruction the more the spells she has. The spell tome chest is still a great place to get spells
There are 3 Destruction Master spells, and they all can only be acquired after completing the Destruction Ritual Spell quest, which requires you to reach 100 Destruction to unlock. There are 6 Destruction Expert spells, and they will only appear in Enthir and Faralda's vendor inventories once you reach 65 Destruction; they will also begin to appear in random loot once you reach level 35.
The chest wasn’t in the cave. Would it be somewhere else?

Most of them should. Ancient spell tome chest won't be an option though.
The chest with scrolls isn't appearing in the cave even though I have arcane accessories installed

@ShorkWasTaken I was on an old save so I started a new one sad I lost my progress but I just ran through the Civil War thats all
I would just say to double check and make sure it's installed and you're using your current load order.
