동 이름은 과거에 신림4동이었던 데에서 유래하였다.

【Channel introduction(채널 소개) - “Season 2”】
▶ Hello, Thank you for visiting the "Seoul Town Walk" channel.
This channel is a channel that shows the images taken while walking through streets and attractions in Seoul.

이 채널은 서울의 거리와 명소를 걸으면서 촬영한 영상을 보여주는 채널입니다.
►그동안 “시즌1”에서는 서울의 25개 구, 약 400여개 동의 “우리 일상에 가장 친숙”한
큰 거리 위주의 “동네거리”와 “지하철역”을 모두 다녔습니다.
거기에 더하여 각 동네의 “시장”을 비롯하여 “명소”를 주로 다니게 되었습니다.
►이제는 “시즌2”로 들어가서, 주로 “골목” 위주로 큰 거리와 조화롭게 다녀보려 합니다.
나머지 “지하철역”은 주로 환승역 위주로 가끔씩 다닐 것이고,
“시장”과 “명소”도 가끔씩 활성화된 곳 정도만 다닐 생각입니다.
►“시즌2”를 통하여 서울을 더 친근하고 다채롭게 경험하시기를 바라겠고요,
이번에도 함께 걸으며 서울을 함께 공유해보시길 바라겠습니다.
▶ 이번에도 장소마다 다음과 같이 번호를 붙입니다.
“시즌2”이기에 ‘구’ 번호 옆에 (2)를 붙이고, 동네, 명소, 지하철역 번호는 한가지로 통합합니다.
