Great ideas for a shirt that is only single -seamed…especially at the shoulders. If you’re working with the garment that is double stitched anywhere… You’re in trouble! That’s sort of repair is either very very laborious or in my humble opinion not worth doing!
Excellent idea though to keep the arm hole cut the same as the shirt that you were using as the pattern. Trying to reposition the sleeve hole for a new set-in sleeve is one of the things I see online that always turns out badly - shirts done that way usually look way too tight across the chest….but I guess if it’s comfortable to the wearer..who am I to question it Lol!💕

10 mins, I don’t think so. It will take longer than that to pepare the cutting lines. I asume you ended up overlocking the new seams because I see you did for the hem. This all takes more time. The average and professional sewers use pins or clips to ensure everything is aligned properly, again more time. Still it is an easier and relatively quick way to make these changes. But really I get very annoyed at people who post unrealistic titles to get views.

Hi there. Thankyou for the lesson how to do this. In my mind, I haven't lost anything, especially if I couldn't wear it anyway. It's a risk worth taking..
I think you might want to change the bottom of the arm holes as they look like they are pulling. If you could raise arm a bit which would release that by adding the space to the side seams I think it would work. Not sure I explained that well.
The sleeve simply is too tight, she should not have taken an sleeveless shirt as her model, but one with a well fitting sleeve, and probably just cut the whole seam open and then set it in completely new.

Very interesting! Those armscyes are too low by at least 2 inches, and they are pulling across the bust. The underarm area needs to be raised higher to better fit. Don't know how that might be done, but it needs to be done for future shirts.

I've been doing this for ages to my t-shirts from when I lost some weight.
How did you lose the weight?
The sleeves needed to be removed to make it sleeveless. There was not enough room for comfort when lifting/moving her arms. Otherwise, very good.
