The volume of the kick is okay but the impact is fairly soft, just seems there's no way to get them nice and hard/firm from this HWS episode, it's not just this track though, tried with another and same thing.
Think of sound like a jpeg file. You are going to get a lot more accurate details of a picture if you have 320 colors compared to one that is 256. When you change a file from 320 colors to 256, some of those unique colors present in 320 will get changed to the closest matching color. It may be hard to notice the difference at first unless you know what you are looking for. Audio files work the same way, the difference being the sound quality deterioration is more noticeable with larger speakers.
