Raider fan here. Love DC. You guys are gonna love him too. That last play was all Derek not Carmichael. There is video of DC telling him to let him throw the go route. Carr may not be Brees but give hime some time and a top 20 defense and you will be playoff bound! Kamara will help too. Keep up the great vids!
New subscriber here. I have been watching football for 35 years, but as a woman, I was never able to play at any level. As I have gotten older, it has become more important to me to understand the nuances of the game and to understand more of what good quarterbacks see pre-snap when they view the field and to watch beyond the ball carrier or passer. Thank you for what you do, especially for those of us who were never taught the Xs and Os of the game as kids.
This is a similar offense to Gruden’s offense and similar to what they ran last year. In a couple of games, Carr will average over 275 yards. I expect them to continue leaning on Carr’s arm and good decision making. Remember - 9 of the 14 interceptions last year for Carr were receivers deflecting passes or clearly running the wrong route.
Loving all the film studies. I’ve watched football for over 30 years and it’s cool that I’m still able to learn more about the game! Thanks and I am glad I found your channel!
Drew Who?! No seriously I always enjoyed his toughness and he is better when the game is on the line. Moved from Oak to Vegas to NOLA in like 2+ years. All the coaching changes and Gruden stuff too. My fav QB 1 besides Joey B. Siants will win the nfc south watch. Great work Deuce
@@DeuceWindhamNFL Raider fan since 1968. Now a Saints fan. I am done with the year after year horrible management. And how DC4 was handled. 5 games last year that were all on the Coaching. DC had 10 plus point lead and poor play calling lost the games.
I’ve watched Carr going back to Fresno State. Carr is not a natural west coast offense type of QB. He’s better as a spread offense QB or as a so-called Erhardt-Perkins QB. But he’s extremely smart and supposedly has a eidetic memory, at least according to Gruden. This really helps in a west coast offense. Carr learned all the WC verbiage quickly and had no problems calling plays and calling audibles too, (again, according to Gruden). When Musgrave was his OC he threw a lot of deep balls. When Gruden came in, Carr was forced to throw a lot of check downs, which Gruden demands. That’s how Carr got the reputation with some Raiders fans who thought it was Carr’s idea to check down that much. In an interview a couple years back a reporter asked if he liked the check down, and he said, “No, I want to throw deep.” He wears #4 because his favorite QB growing up was Brett Farve. During the episode of Gruden’s QB Camp with Carr (2013), Derek said he wanted to be a gunslinger. That’s his mentality. But he’s smart enough to run the WC offense. Watch highlights from the 2015-2016 season when Carr had Amari Cooper and Micheal Crabtree, and Musgrave as OC. That’s the Carr Saints fans want to see. That system fit him perfectly. He balled out under that system. But he’ll do well in the WC system once the blocking issues get settled out. Old school Raider fans know what Carr’s potential is and that’s why you see a lot of us as Saints fans now. As a fan I invested a lot into Carr, and I still believe with the right situation he could win you guys a Superbowl, especially in the weaker NFC. We’ll see.
Great analysis. Also, I hope Carr’s performance ends this Carr is another Andy Dalton crap. I’m sorry, but Dalton ain’t making that clutch throw at the end of the game. Once again Great analysis 👍
He was good in a game in which his line was atrocious against one of the best d lines in the league, i believe he will tear the other teams in our schedule apart, i expect a blow out to the panthers
One positive is the whole O line playing in all 64 snaps together. That will be a huge help in building cohesion in the upcoming games. By the time they get to game 5 or 6 they will be an imposing O line. (If the starters can avoid injury)
Wondering if PC running to many deep routes. I know we got speed but Carr needs at least 1 outlet if pressure comes.. plus I hate going for 30 yards when we need 4.
people complain about Penning, but damn that entire line looked shady. Ruiz had a rough start to the season. And Mcoy looks to be struggling with Hurts and Ruiz both needed help.
@Who Dat Confessional I think Carr had an excellent game knowing that he had the jitters suiting up for our #saints, 340 plus yards, a TD, & 1 interception isn’t a bad day at work. If anyone wonders why Carr seemed so unbothered at the end of the game, after Taysom Hill played 1st down and Carr came into 2nd & 14, that’s because, the Raiders are so penalized Carr thinks it always takes 15 yards to get a First Down, so was under the false impression that they’d gained a yard on 1st down, instead of losing 4 yards.

I think a tough, grindy game was the best thing for a team like this which has such a change. Hope it leads to more success down the road.
This is quickly becoming my go-to place for all things Saints related. I love your commentary and your energy. Who Dat!

Welcome aboard! Football is something anyone and everyone should enjoy! So glad you're enjoying the content!
Love the film sessions. Nobody else doing it like you Rev......we thank you
let me put you on daboot tragedies
Best saints content creator and it’s not close imo
Great film study! It was cool to learn that the play was a throw away instead of a miss. 😮
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice breakdown of that throw away pass
@@johnfonseca8155something that jameis needs to learn to do instead of taking sacks or throwing picks.
You Saints fans ain't seen nothing yet. Derek Carr is severely underrated. The issue was Josh McDaniels, not Carr. McDaniels is a piece of crap.
Thanks!
GREAT breakdown!!!! Best one yet!!
Glad you think so!
This was a good game. The WhoDatSuper Saints are they way.
300+ yards I wanna see more !!

Some of them throws were elite! I'm excited 🎉
Film studies always feel good after a win! #WHODAT
Can’t wait to see Olave in the backfield with AK in the slot
You're the man Rev

Closer than I would have liked but a good game.
Much to be excited about ⚜️
Been awhile since..... Back With Big Deuce 🐐💯🙏
Great job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Deuce, your videos are the only ones I thumbs up 😂😂
I appreciate that
Super job at breaking it down. I subscribed. 😃
Awesome, thank you!

The aunts wearing that fools gold and black…lmaoo
good stuff sir.. i love ur stuff.
I appreciate that!
i saw some of grudens influence on the play calling. especially the one to seal it.

Man how did you get all these clean looks/video of the game! Great job by the way!
That's the All-22 looks teams use to study their games. They're the ones who do the recordings.
Can you do a review on how Kamara looked on his couch week 1? Thanks Deuce
He was good in a game in which his line was atrocious against one of the best d lines in the league, i believe he will tear the other teams in our schedule apart, i expect a blow out to the panthers
Can you do a defense flim study?
Do the CBs next
Panthers are watching so next week deep curls and comebacks for Shaheed.
Can you do one on Penning + Hurst? Horrible first game for them!
Dude penning played horribly. That first step back was always flat and was already a step behind
i dont disagree so i wanna see how they can do better and if were fucked long term or not@@johnsearing9736
Luckily we have the best O-Line coaching around. They will get him together!

Good and bad??
💪🏽⚜️Thanks

Nah he thought they gained 6 with all those holding penalties my raiders get😭
All this offense needs is Dez Bryant
C'mon man 😅😂 that's a thing in the past especially what could of should of would of been in 2018!😢😮
MT could’ve had 2 Tds if Carr would’ve had a lil more time.
They need to add in the TEs in the mix to help Penning with some chip blocks and give Carr more options.
Yup! They started doing that more in the 2nd half of this one
I'm not sold on our oline coach alot of these guys are not accending. Other oline coaches have done more with less high drafted players.
Who Dat!

F falcons
F falcons out of nowhere .
Lol
Love it.
Why did pff have him only throwing 190 something yards, and no td?
Those stats were what he did while under pressure.
@@DeuceWindhamNFL ahh got it! Thanks lol
anyone else find out after this game that Carr is rated the worst QB in the league in the redzone
