Well, you don't have to wear bra anywhere :) (unless your work has a certain dress code etc.) I realised I don't need to wear a bra a while ago and I rarely do it. But I must say, it's nice to wear a bra during colder months sometimes because it gives you another layer of warmth.
(If someone likes to wear a bra or feels like they need to - it's ok of course)

    • @LuuGolinski
      @LuuGolinski 4 года назад

I got more comfortable not wearing a bra in the past months. I used to go bra-less at home before, like sometimes on weekends. Then, this year I first only put one on when I went outside (not so often this year...) and now I also haven't worn one when going out for months.
      It feels sooo comfotable!
(but I have to say, I'm a small size and don't know how would be otherwise. And I don't do very demanding sports regarding that area of my body)

Now don’t laugh... but this 57 year old wilderness dwelling chic, currently suffering from extremely aggravated chronic Achilles tendonitis blasts her tunes and does freestyle yoyoing loud and to the max. 🪀 Currently can’t dance... so I throw... we all need our creative and physical outlets. Immy this video was the buzz I needed for today, you always keep me hyped, chilled and everything in between. Is there anything we can do to help you stay pumped and in the groove? Just let us know... we’re all in this %$%#& pandemic together... and we’re here for you!! As for the sustainability train... mine pulled out of the station a few months ago... it’s too hard right now... too many barriers... but we’ll all get back on that train when this is over. Thanks & dance on!! 💜😜🌿🇨🇦

      Aileen,
I used to do that too, esp. while driving. Finally one day a few years ago, I heard myself saying out loud "Who gives a f***! Anybody who even might remember how embarrassed I was is now either senile or dead! " Seriously, I doubt many people even remember as they were all focused on themselves as teenagers anyway! So I have learned not just to accept the countless social gaffes I made but to embrace them and brag about them! At 73, I have much more pressing issues to deal with than the time in high school when the boys recreational basketball team walked in on me getting out of the gym shower because the janitor had messed up the schedule and left the door unlocked. Actually some of the guys later said they thought I was kinda cute trying to cover myself with one of those little ratty gym towels! But I was very shy about my body and mortified.

Thank you so much for this video Immy!! I too have been in a rut due to the pandemic; I've gained a little bit of weight and have had no motivation or desire to do anything or really take care of myself. It's so refreshing to see an influencer be so honest about being in a rut and has allowed me to have some self-compassion for myself during this time. This video has inspired me to get my life together too and get back into working out, eating well, taking care of myself, being productive, and doing things that I love! I really like the mix of vlog/life content and sustainability on your channel, so please continue that! Sending you good vibes as we head back into lockdown here in the US as well.

I've gotten to get my butt moving again last week and seeing your video just sent me loads of good vibes and motivation to keep going ! Fighting back is okay, but so is leaning into it! Neither is wrong. As long as it is a conscious decision, you're in control. Sometimes going with the flow of a season is much less stressful. Too often our conditioned behaviour is to improve/fight and we're adding unnecessary pressure on ourselves if we struggle in the fight and nothing seems to work out as we hoped. The smallest and easiest step is okay! Be kind to yourselves, we will all get through this eventually!
I am so totally with you on this "should I put on makeup to feel better, but I cannot be bothered"-thing^^ My default is to fill in my brows for an instant pick me up.

I love this video! I can’t wait for the Xmas themed videos and diys - I really want to make something creative myself as I’ve never been able to do that before!
Just a note from a mental health professional - saying ‘I am going to stop worrying/negative thoughts’ is unrealistic as these thoughts are really normal! And trying to suppress our thoughts can actually have the opposite effect. Instead, I recommend introducing something called a thought record for negative thoughts (MInd over Mood is an amazing book about managing this), where you record your thoughts to help notice patterns, practice unhooking from them and if needed, start to challenge them. If they are worries - try just recording the worry thought, what you feel is the worst thing and if you can do anything about it that’s helpful long term. Then put it to one side and come back to it at a set time in the day where you are allowing yourself to worry (not too close to bedtime of course! Type cci worry time into Ecosia for more info).
Also, it’s normal to have a few days feeling rough, but if this become two weeks or longer it may be a sign that further support (whether by self help or therapy) would be needed. Anyone in England and Scotland can access the IAPT service for free CBT (unfortunately being the NHS, waitlists can be 4-6weeks). To access this, just google iapt and your area and it should be the first to come up, you don’t need to see a gp first. Websites like CCI OR the Northumberland self help guides are amazing!

I have also felt that things like sustainability and climate change have been forgotten a bit due to the corona, although this pandemic has led to people flying less which can be seen as positive. But then I feel bad when I think of how much the use of electricity has increased when people are working from home, having online meetings and conferences and probably streaming more videos than before. But as you said, practicing letting go of negative thoughts and worries, reconnect with your values and take control of your life and behaviour is something we all have to do now, in order to get past these challenging times.

You are so precious, I love this video. I definitely have been feeling unmotivated in the last few weeks. Watching your videos has helped me with any anxiety while working from home. Good job confronting your rut!

Immy, it is very important to keep up your sense of perspective and your sense of humor.
My sister and I live far apart and both are alone during this Pandemic angst and can't visit just now. But we talk by phone every few days. And have big laughs about everything. We know each other so well that one of us can say a word or two from something from our childhood and we both start laughing uproariously. Both of us feel the weight has been lifted off us after one of these goof ball sessions.

I’ve just had to come back from my year abroad in Italy (which I’m super grateful to have been able to do even a bit of!) and I feel a bit disoriented as to knowing how to spend my time now, so this video has really helped, thanks! 💛

This is great! I truly love your chill videos, but it's great to see you this energetic and a little bit all over the place - I can relate so hard.
I will copy the timer to clean up, that's sound like something that'll work for me.
Unfortunately I am procrastinating with this video right now

immy, this was so funny and relatable, thank you for sharing this, i had really hearty laughs. also yaay for the holiday guides 🙌 i revisit last year’s guide, even for birthday gifts! something that is helping me with my end of the day ruts is yoga with adriene, i started this years challenge home and each day is different, around 20min each day, and she’s such an inspiring dork - highly recommend for daily movement

I really enjoyed this video and your advice is spot on. Likewise, no bra, days old makeup, not showered as I've done nothing to break a sweat and I'm not going anywhere. Your honesty makes me feel less crappy about all of this. I did make a point of booking a surprise self-catering stay for my fiancé's birthday last weekend before Scotland gets a more severe lockdown, we're both essential workers who've worked right through and that wee treat really lifted our spirits.

That’s really interesting - you and Simple Victoria both posted about getting out of a rut, and both made breakfast incorporating apple and peanut butter! Lovely to see you all energetic and dynamic and speaking quickly and excitedly! For awesome dance workouts, try Leilah Isaac’s belly dancing videos, or for some camp fun, The Fitness Marshal.

Lockdown definitely makes sustainability harder for me. Bulk stores and my favorite stores that sell vegan stuff are too far away to go to, and the nearby supermarkets have rules about putting all fruit and veg in plastic bags, and then just being in a bit of a rut makes it harder to try, especially when the easiest things to do aren't possible anymore!

I’m like you... I really intensely dislike these new rules that disallow us to use our reusable produce bags, etc. There are so many barriers against Low Waste/Zero Waste shopping right now... I understand why... but it still really bothers me 🥦🥕🥬🍎🥒. Enjoy your veggies 😃

For me, working out in general was something that got lost in my busy routine, but since march I started doing more exercise and adding dance to it has made it so much more enjoyable, like yes I am doing this for me to feel better!! The thought of doing it just to be in a physical better shape was a motivation too, but I found I can only keep it up if I feel good doing it. Long way to say, nice to see you are adding dance to your routine!

Having that down time to be in “a rut” is also okay. I try looking at the calm, mellow or even frustrated times as my mind body and soul trying to work something out. The important part is that we know it’s just temporary ❤️ It can motivate me to then 💥 BOOM, Let’s get out of a rut and hit the ground running!!

I would love to hear more about things you have researched and read about to help people decide what they can do help the environment. Such as (do electric vehicles really have a lower carbon footprint than gas or diesel vehicles when you factor in the carbon costs of manufacturing the vehicle and the fossil fuels used to create the electricity that powers the car?)

Exciting video ideas coming up - can’t wait to see them 😁 Yes, definitely having difficulty in following sustainability and low waste practices during this pandemic. Non-recyclable masks are going to cause a huge problem to the environment in the future. I’m also shielding my partner so having to use grocery delivery services, for which I am extremely grateful, but I am having so much more plastic waste coming into my house now than before in the form of packaging. On the positive side the pandemic is making us think more about how we can and should live more simply and I can see positive changes being adopted in the future 🙏

I'm so glad you said it, because I'm in a total rut too - I cannot get myself together to make new videos at all and instead just waste a ton of my spare time watching Netflix 😑 and speaking of sustainability - I forgot to bring reusable bags for loose veg several times this week and had to use the plastic bags from the supermarket 🤦🏻‍♀️ I think I'm just anxious about going to the supermarket in general lol. The UK lockdown + uncertainty over Christmas + can't see my bf + shite weather = I just want to sleep until this is all over. 😭
Sorry for the rant. What I really wanted to say was - thank you for being so positive and uplifting! ❤

Hang in there! You're not alone! I try not beat myself up if I take coffee to go in a disposable cup or stay on the couch all day long instead of doing something 'productive.' Besides, we all need a rest, laziness, losing our way so that we can appreciate finding our path again.
