I'm very thankful for these types of videos. My hanging Reznor has been cutting out as well, but not coming back with power cycling. I've rapped the flame rollout switch with a screwdriver and it's back to working. Note that this is a new switch (a from about three years back) which I had to replace after having similar problems. My guess is that there is something else going on with this heater, but I can't seem to figure it out.
Dealing with this right now. I’m on resi install side, but we are slow today so I’m helping with service. Thank you! Oh and how the hell do you tighten that set screw when it’s on the inside of the shaft!? Lol
This is what a true tech does. If he does not know the answer he reaches out to Support tech. Curious to know if that was the issue with the Fan but it make complete sense especially if tripping on high limit. Good Job!
Have one of those in one of my buildings. Never had an issue yet but thought the design was crappy. Pressurized cabinet so seems it would make troubleshooting difficult if you had to try to fire it with the door off.
I bought one a reznor in 2000 for garage. (Minnesota) 1st issue board problems 3 months. About 8 years inciter motor squealing. Took out, no place to oil.drilled holes to oil about every 2 years after that. 2 exhaust pipes, then 2021 gas smell. Called gas company. No leaks, then he had to check house. Ok he was probing around by meter. He comes to garage tells me he punched a up pipe for meter. About 5:30pm. Crew coming out. I was servicing inciter motor again. (Drilled holes bigger in bushing surrond) the packing almost non existent, cut strip of shop rag packed in there with a pick. Oiled and re installed. So after gas line repair gas off a while. Go out to garage next day no heat. Shut off breaker - on heat back. Cycled many times to heat garage and contents up. No more gas smell. Question was gas valve sticky and all the cycling freed it up? So far so good 2 months now.
Sounds like a sticking gas valve. The first time a gas valve operates incorrectly, it gets trashed. Not worth blowing buildings up to save money. That is my professional opinion.
Hi there i have a reznor heater in my garage maybe you know of the problem. It runs fine will kick on and off for a few cycles then ill come in the morning and can tell it hasn’t been running, so then i have to turn down the thermostat and back up again for it to go on. Tried a couple different thermostats and does the same thing not sure what to check
@@HVACServiceTechnicianTalk ya it does a few cycles fine and now i go look and theres no led lights on. So for that code its saying internal control fault or no power. I just find it weird how it works fine for a bit then doesn’t work
@@HVACServiceTechnicianTalk figured it out, was wired up wrong, had a line voltage thermostat and these reznor heaters need 24 volt thermostat so it kept tripping it. All good now thanks
I'm buying a used Reznor like this one for a small garage I have. Is there a way to test it somehow before I buy it or things to look out the seller seems legit but you never know
Biggest piece of crap I've ever had. It always stops working when i need it the most. 40 below and the it went out again... Miss my old gas heater that didn't have any electronics.. computer crap. It always worked. It's a money pit.

Sounds like you may have more issues
I’ve had mine for 13 years I’ve never had a problem not once! I’m in Minnesota 🙂

It seems to have taken care of the issue.
Reznor for life. Best heater ever.
They are pretty solid for sure
Good to know thanks
Thanks

No it wasn't twisted from the factory. The installer didn't use a back up wrench when tightening the fitting at the other end of the nipple
Lol I have seen that as well.
@@HVACServiceTechnicianTalk what I'm saying I have never seen one from the manufacturer . I'm 90% installer 10 % service

Leave a comment if you end up coming up with something that resolves the issue
Could have a issue with the control board.
What Number did you call for tech support?

If you have done multiple Thermostats it could be a safety is tripping or a board malfunctioning

👍 to that Adam Ant guy @ tech support 😁

It would be difficult. You would need to get proper voltage and gas to it.
Did it come with a dual port pressure switch? That's the first thing I noticed. Good video.
Do you have the reznor tech supp #? I can't find it
Every area can be different. I would reach out to your local Reznor dealer or Reznor rep and they will get you the best one.
Well did that solve the issue?
Yes it did
Mine is a peice of junk never has worked right regret getting it ,
What size is this unit?
