Good summary. I've been driving on RE71RS for hillclimbs and track days, after a few years on Hoosier A7 and Yokohama A050, and your comments align with what I've experienced, especially the outer shoulder wearing so fast. I'll be buying a set of CRS next to compare.
I think an A052 would also fit your needs for hill climb. The CRS is right there on pace, however it is just slightly behind. If you are looking for a longer distance tire the CRS has a bit more heat capacity and will fade less during the run.
The RE71RS tires really like proper track alignment to mitigate the issue with the really round edges. They have roll over markings to indicate if you need more camber. Properly adjusting camber helps with outside edge wear. Also I am really tempted to try the Nexen tires. I’ve had a chance to try all these tires except the Nexen and so far my personal favourite is the Nankang CRS. Once that tire is up to temperature I found on my civic si it holds the most corner grip.

@@TPMparts thank you for your sharing! Can I ask one more question, if I am running a 295 A052 on a 10.5 wheel with around 2800 lbs fully loaded including driver, would this be worse than a 265?
