Disclaimer: Please be aware that working with hot liquid metals is very dangerous! Do not try this at home if you do not exactly know what you do. I have done a lot of preparation and informed myself before I did my first pour.
If you do so, make sure to wear proper personal protection gear like a full face shield, a respirator, a dusk mask, fire retarding clothing or a leather apron, good protective and heat resistant gloves and leather boots. Make sure to work safe and use proper foundry tools.
Finally enjoy the hobby!

Hahaha, tsja als je kan lassen dan moet je ook wat met het zachte hout kunnen :) Heb wel eens gedacht aan een frees om mooie meubelen te maken, wie weet in de nieuwe schuur :)

Will casting sand stay locked in an area that large when lifted? I will be attempting to cast in a few weeks. That sand must have amazing properties !
Make sure to pack the sand real tight and pay particular attention to the edges. If the sand falls out, you could try to add a smaller piece of wood on the inside as a ridge where the sand can have some grip. I never had problems with my flasks. Good luck!

Haha nou die vind je niet snel meer, eerder een elektro technieker haha. Ik ben van origine vanuit de operationele dienst mijn werk aan het doen, maar ik zou ondertussen ook prima wat kunnen betekenen in de lasserij :)
