This is great! I'm a high School teacher and I have a problem with Textbooks walking away. Hoping I can make this work for my classroom.

You are inspiring me for my classroom. For example the boxes for the notebooks implementing that for next year!

LOVED your video! I am still having trouble getting my kids to be able to check out from here. The check out option isn't there any advice?

I love this method I'm not a teacher nor a student but this video really helps with my DVD collection and keeping tabs on who borrowing what and not having to re-buy movies I already have! Thank you so much for uploading this video! Thumbs up!! And I just subscribe to your channel! Can't wait to see more video!

Do you have to use a communal computer for the kids to check out books on? I was hoping to allow them to use it through their chromebooks and check out that way. With new guidelines (covid) I'm trying to reduce shared materials etc. It looks like I would have to give them all my login? Or could I add it to their chromebooks as a bookmark that is already logged in?

The students don't need a special login to check out books. They just go to the link to your library, find the book, select their name, then check out the book. All you'd need to give them is the link.

When you have two of the same book, how do you know which student returned it to check off?
For instance, let's say both of your 'Ella Enchanted's were taken out at the same time. And one was returned to your Book Return basket, but the other wasn't. How do you know which was returned?
Do you have library cards that are slipped in the back, and then you return them to the students?

Great question. I don't believe that happened to me last year. If it happened, then I would just ask them both who returned it. If it began happening regularly, then I don't know what I would do.... I guess I would just figure out a solution that works for me. I don't have library cards. I did it digitally so I wouldn't have to deal with library cards. Sorry, I know that's not very helpful. :-\

How do students check out books?

I'm sorry, maybe I don't understand your question. I thought I explained how they check out books in the video.

    is it free?

There are different options, depending on how you use it. I picked the free option at first, used that for awhile with my class, then felt guilty that I wasn't paying for it, and now I pay a yearly rate.
