Dear Rakesh, I wanted to draw an ellipse with a less pointy tips on the longer sides. So, I tried to replace the tips of the ellipse by first trimming it off and joining it with splines. However, it appears that the starting and ending points of the spline does not match the angle of the lines of the ellipse where it were trimmed off even after adjustments. How could I make the spline start/end at the same angle as the line where I trimmed off the ellipse?
Sorry about the late response. I presume you tried the ELLIPSE command. My understanding is that it creates a standard equation ellipse. If you use the SPLINE command, you will need to specify the definition points and the tangent slopes yourself and see if the shape is in line with what you expect.
I am not sure if this is a direct answer to your question but I hope there is some tip or direction and you can try this out. Once a spline is converted to linear segmented polylines, you lose the ability to modify its shape by tweaking control points. One of the things I would try is to re-draw a polyline geometry and and connect them to form a new spline. Does this work for you?
