The ancient, indigenous dances, music, cuisines of Anatolia (Armenian, Assyrian, Greek, Kurdish), and the Balkans - Greeks, Thracians (Bulgarians) - needs to be known as such - not Turkish. No doubt, the cultures collided after the invasions in 12th century, however someone recently told me Armenian music was "Turkish" and I just about lost it. This style of music goes back centuries, if not millennia, in the region.
I gotta say, this just looks like normal dancing to me. In my American culture, there's a lot of similar elements in ballet, for example.
