I know I’ve said this in your comments before, but dude you really are one of the most pure, real people in the car community, showing what it’s really like to be a car person with a limited budget. Keep up the amazing videos man
I remember when you first started the swap on this car and thought it was a very cool idea. Now that it’s done I can say that you really killed it on this build! There’s nothing more satisfying than when you build a car and finally finish it and take those first few drives! Also I’ve noticed for myself that whenever you do a really in-depth build such as an engine swap or convert from an automatic to manual transmission or vice versa I really felt more connected to it than when I just do bolt-on mods. Anybody who’s built a car knows what I’m talking about. Congratulations on your build and just keep grinding on it! Like you said when you build a car it’s never really done! There’s always something that you see that motivates you and drives you.
Nice to see i'm not the only "crazy" out in the world that loves the 2g dsm so much that doesn't matter how many times it breaks, we fix it and keep on happy about it =D Greetings from Brazil! ( i got a 95 gst last year as my only car and i don't regret doing that )
I knew when dash and head unit shut off it was alternator. Happened to me. Chasing down a weak spark issue on my 8. Aem infinity gang. My evo has taught me so much about how to build a car and chase down the issues. It’s amazing how far I’ve come around because of it. Do I get frustrated yes, and does it take time yes, but it’s always better than my subi buddies that take their car in to get their brakes changed. cars teach you a lot about yourself and character. Glad to see you growing and learning.
I have never heard of you, I don't live in your country, and I have absolutely 0 knowledge on your car, but that ending speech deserves a sub. Well said, well spoken and can fully relate to you.
Bro I really appreciate your speech at the end, it´s really motivating for me that you said that you are not the best at building cars but you stick to your goal and learn new things constantly, because I love cars too but I haven´t had the chance yet to tinker with a car and thus I have not a lot of experience but your words gave me the motivation to learn everything step for step in the future and eventually building my own custom car!
Thank you for the speech at the end! Its crazy I clicked this video because I like cars and ended up hearing exactly what I need to in your speech. I always try to be positive on the outside but internally its different. I just wanted you to know that what you said impacted me and I really appreciate it.
unfortunately they are the mitsubishi equivalent to the 240sx. they are usually project cars that get passed off to owner after owner! i’m stuck between a GSX and a TT 300zx
This one resonated. Went for power steering fluid yesterday in the a.m. and my car did not start. There was a bumpy road that moved some parts around and once it started, I had that sense of relief. Loving the DSM life.
Big ups to you and your outlook on life. I'm also an old fellow DSM guy (owning my 3rd and 4th cars). I can honestly say that because of the reliability of our cars, our community as a whole is probably the most knowledgeable. The joy is in the journey, not the destination. Otherwise we wouldn't love these cars. And the cars are never truly finished anyway, are they? It forces us to turn a wrench ourselves fairly often building translatable skills to any other car we choose to move on to. Keep that same energy, Man. It'll take you far
After that last speech I felt obliged to suscribe to your channel. I totally relate to your atitude, you decide to use your mistake as a learning experience and move forward, this is what makes you a car guy. I've known many people saying they'd liked to be a car guy after watching a bunch of "building a car in 10 minutes" videos on the internet but when their own car or bike break down and they have the best oportunity to get into it they just send the car to a mechanic if there is more than five bolts to take out... Motivation and patience are 99% of the job, the last 1% is the experience and will only come after the first 2 requirements. Cheers from France Bro
I come back from time to time, glad to see it alive still. Had a close friend build two and it was the car that made me love n get into the car community and till this day years later I still am. 🤙🏼
This gen Eclipse, 3000GT VR4, the EVO (4-X)are the most fun and best looking cars Mitsubishi ever produced. Its sad how far they have fallen. So awesome you were able to combine an entire EVO drivetrain into your GSX and kept the car looking mostly oem at the same time.
I have two eclipses 1st and 2nd gen and I went through 3 engines and 4 transmissions with those. I couldn’t let them go!! and yes.. them tow trucks and the overwhelming sadness when disaster struck , especially when I had my gf with me just killed me sometimes. The cost and the labor of love .. but there was no other feeling like the windows down, the sunroof up and the ambient sound of that exhaust blaring as I punched it on a nice sunny afternoon or as the sun went down. Dsm life!!
