I'm a big fan of Asahi Super Dry. It's my favorite beer here, and it's the most popular in Japan. I'm not sure if it's available in the States, or if it's the real stuff brewed by the Japanese company. If you ever come here, I hope you get a chance to try all the different stuff. Also, you'll love the 9% chu-hais. Lotta Marines and Sailors get in trouble because they underestimate that 9% lmao
@@Ducati121 I was stationed in Iwakuni for my first duty station and can confirm, Chu-hai will fuck you up. Unfortunately I didn't realize it until I was about a half dozen in because you can't really taste the alcohol... would not recommend hitting them that hard, because they hit back.
I don't drink too many light beers anymore, but back in the day, I used to drink kirin ichiban and tsingtao whenever we went out to an Asian restaurant. Both were good.
I spent 2 1/2 years in Okinawa Japan, and I drank a lot of Japanese beer. Drank a bunch of Orion. Developed my taste for Scotch whiskey 8:03 there also, as Japanese whiskey has a Scotch whisky taste.
hahahaha kirin ichiban is actually a japanese beer, they cultivater their own yeast and procured their own ingredients. they then give everything to anheuser busch to bottle en masse and ship it everywhere in huge volumes
It might have been mentioned already. The reason that Sapporo was made in Canada is because they bought out Sleeman Breweries. That gave them a foot in the door to sell in North America instead of having to ship it. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it works both ways, so Sleeman isn't something available in Japan.
When I trained with the Japanese national defense force ( their army) the month of training began with everything Japanese culture. They brought Sapporo and saki to the big party. Coincidentally at the end of the month it was as all American so we had jack Daniel’s and Budweiser lamentably. It was a drunk fest though with only a week of training. The days before 9/11 were just fun and games Love your vids boss
For those of you looking for Orion, i suggest looking at your local international stores or Wegmans. Those are the only places I've found this delicious beer.
Asahi is good too, but basically in Japan the crisper and better carbonated the beer is the better quality its assumed to be. Makes for good beer burps, be sounding like Barney from the Simpsons by the end of the night.
Sapporo is primarily produced in Vietnam even though created in Sapporo Japan. So is it still Japanese? I dont know, but still drink it and the Sapporo Black too.
I’m surprised the ginger beer from Hitochino Nest wasn’t good. Their white ale and red rice ale are godly, especially the white. Also, Orion, from what I can remember from my time in Okinawa, is a decent beer. Much better than bud or coors.
You should do a part 2 … asahi super dry, “hitachino white ale”this one is better then the ginger beer I promise you 🍺 , Kyoto white yuzu or any yuzu beer ..
Man i havent watched this yet (about to once the foods ready) but i wilk say that kirin ichiban is 100% my fav beer. Even tho its impossible to find where i live.
Imma gun shooting, fishing, trucking, whiskey loving born in VA Korean that lived in Japan for 5years. I hate to say this butI love Busch light the most. I might had a redder neck in my past life😂
Looks like sashimi get some spider roll or the shrimp tempura. I will eat raw fish but only sockeye. Cali rolls are good as well. Just gotta find what you like. That sushi looked gross though.
Japanese beer has a unique flavor because it contains rice in addition to malt and hops. Most Japanese people like Japanese beer best, but is it a little bitter for foreigners?
@@MuthaEffinJR true, and as far as i know Sapporo has what I believe is a proprietary coating for the inside? not 100% sure but i feel like i read it somewhere.

Perhaps it was uploaded by mistake 🤔

Orion was started after WWII with all of the American military stationed on the island. It is my favorite Japanese beer.
its beer made by marines

It is available here. I order it every time I go out for Ramen here in Houston.

not that it matters to your comment, but tsing tao is chinese.
Tsing Tao is a Chinese beer, pronounced Ching Dao. It tastes great with Chinese and Vietnamese food.
Actually German, they made a brewery when they colonised tsingtao

I second the idea of a beer review with the highest ABV beers you can find!
gotta get him a bottle of Brewdog's Sink the Bismark. Last I checked it was still the strongest beer in the world

Awesome! I’ll have to try orion
My go-to summer beer is Sapporo Special Reserve. It's an all malt variant
Where in the hell did you find that swamp water 😂

The Japanese bud light is actually blue moon or shocktop....

Sapporo is the only beer I’ve had that you tried today, but it’s always an easy go-to beer
Thumbs up just for the introduction. 😂

Alabama Boss needs to try New Belgium Juice Force IPA! Even better he could try multiple their beers in one go. That would be an awesome episode!
Didnt he try it in one of the old episodes? lol
Someone take this man to an all you can eat sushi restaurant and feed him sake, spicy tuna, and good pickled ginger.
Orion is definitely my favorite.
We need the BOSS in Kentucky
I was in Okinawa late 70s and Kirin, Sapporo and Orion were regular night out beers and were really good

Sapporo Japanese lager beer is one my most favorites!
Believe it or not, japan also makes great whisky as well, im a fan and lover of japan and the culture and its, one of my favorites in whisky
Also the dragon looks like shenron from dragon ball
You should've finished your show with some "habu sake". Had some in Yokosuka in '96 while deployed.
Sapporo is my go to ( Especially ice cold draft ) but Asahi, Kirin ( some of them ), and Orion are all good.

Managed to pick the worst Hitachino Nest. Their Red Ale, Stout, and White Ales are fantastic.

Is drinking room temperature beer/soda a thing in america? It seems like that in a lot of taste test videos.

Orion is the best

sapporo is best out of the 32oz aluminum can. something about the bottle takes away a lot of the taste.
