    Not all polygels are pigmented which I’m cool with cuz I loveee jelly polygels. I have some pigmented polygels by Makartt and Salivland that I hardly use because they’re so pigmented

    Try buffing the tip area before applying the tip !

    I really love these!!! It's good that you got this kit.. when u do nails u want to be familiar with everything...I've been a nail tech for 32 years and because of that, I'm definitely an acrylic fan but I had to learn polygels because I never want to turn a client away...but I'm not great at it...and I believe it's exactly what you said, it's not meant for long nails... I wear super long nails and in order to keep them from breaking at the stress line, I have to make them soooo thick and I hate that. But u did a fantastic job...

    I think Suzie, from Nail Career Education did these on her channel, if you want to check her out, maybe she mentioned something about the issue you had, plus she’s awesome!! 😂 (so are you!)

    I had the same issue with the top coats and KDS glue I ended up just using a base coat to adhere them and they still popped off fairly easy I love to see people trying polygel I would love to see more videos of you attempting this was super cute loved the jelly colors

    Does the bond get stronger with more coats of base coat or is it the same?

  • @nakeasimone13
    @nakeasimone13 3 года назад +2

    Also you may want to set that topcoat to the side just use it only when you are planning on popping off your nails after you do a video because mixing it with the cuticle oil that you use for the pop of method will contaminate your bottle of topcoat you must use basecoat not topcoat if you plan on gluing your nails Also use the spatula to place the poly gel on your tip don’t spread it out from the bottle you waste product like that

      @Nailsslayedbyval  3 года назад

      Yeah I usually keep designated bottles for this method (:

    Try a larger brush to apply. They turned out great. The more you do it the easier it will be.

    Hey Chicky I completely understand what you mean when you said that you were getting annoyed with the process and I honestly think that we as newbies have put so much more pressure on ourselves because we have watched utube tutorials and it's made to look like it took 10 minutes from start to finish and the reality is that it's ok to take a few hours to do a set on yourself. I think that you have done a bomb as job for a first time application so just remember Practice Practice Practice and I have to say that I would be definitely trying out the best quality brands first then once you have mastered your nail set then you can get different products and go for cheaper quality options. I am just speaking from my experience and I have only been using the Kiara Sky Professional dipping powder system and I only purchase products from their website and I am absolutely in love, I have even started doing acrylic nails again because of their top quality products

    I love how they came out. Those look like jelly colored polygels Val that’s why they look more lighter in color and clear. But you did a great job 👏🏾. They’re gorgeous!

    Wow girl I love how they turned out you did such a great job! I love polygel better than acrylic it is just easier to sculpt because you have endless time until you cure it:) also be careful when you use the rubbing alcohol instead of the base coat because the alcohol can cause white specks if you use to much and I prefer base coat it works a lot better to me:)

    It could of been a color changing polygel that's why it look like that. The set came out beautifully 💘 love it.

    Also the colored polygel is like colored acrylic just use a little bit and then cap the nail with clear polygel and the clearest polygel out there is makartt:) just wanted to let you know babe:) thanks for sharing and if that happens and you dont have a clear you csn use acrylic to cap them or use a couple layers of base gel to cap the nail too:)

    Hello! Just found your channel, did you add the top coat to protect your natural nails before applying the tips? I’m still learning with polygel

    • @Nailsslayedbyval
      @Nailsslayedbyval  3 года назад +1

      Hi! No that was just so that I can pop the nails off afterwards ☺️❤️ its the cuticle oil + top coat method you can use it before doing your set so that you can practice and then easily pop them off right after
