As someone who has played Pavlov shack for 2 years, and contractors for 2 I still can’t decide. Pavlov has more social interaction and funny modes to mess with people like TTT or the Hide. But Contractors has the Co-op modes and the STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT MODS!!! It played PERFECTLY! So I would say both are good in there own categories
There is you press the Mastic with your dominant hand and then a wheel pop up go to upgrades with a weapon in your hand and then select your attachment
I have both. Been playing Contractors since 2021. Contractors gameplay is smoother, graphics are better, and weapon handling is flawless. It’s a fast pace shooter tho. A lot of run and gunning on smaller maps. The mod community is gigantic. Star Wars: Battlefront mods, Halo mods, Titanfall mods and so much more. You have a physical gunstock calibration option AND you can choose to play sitting down if you wish. I recently bought Pavlov Shack and have been playing it for a few weeks. The gunfights are more intense and very fun and at times seems like a scene from a movie. However this means it takes more bullets to put your enemy down. I dislike when I shoot an enemy in the head and only their helmet flies off while they are still alive. Weapon switching is a pain also as I constantly have to holster my weapon on my back if I want to throw a grenade or switch to pistol. In Contractors when you let go of your weapon it automatically goes back to the FRONT of your body, which is much easier to grasp. the holster mechanic in Pavlov is flawed. There have been countless times where i go to holster my weapon on my back and it ends up on the ground behind me. When I go to reach for it, it’s not there and then I have to turn around and look on the ground for it while multiple enemies are shooting at me. And if you don’t grab your weapon off the ground within 5 seconds IT DISAPPEARS! Another big issue I am having with Pavlov is invisible walls. So many times I go to shoot from behind cover and there are bullet holes just floating in the air inches above from wherever I am taking cover. In order to solve this I have to raise my head higher thus exposing myself to be killed easily. Also there is no physical gunstock calibration option and no sitting to play option in Pavlov. And a another frustrating thing is the sprint mechanic. Sometimes sprint doesn’t even register w the auto sprint option. So many times I am being shot at and go to run away, but instead I slowly walk away if my head is slightly down. Better off just pushing sprint button instead of auto sprint. Pavlov is a lot of fun, but it still needs much improvement. I figured the developers would have fixed all these issues BEFORE charging full price. Pavlov is great, but Contractors is further ahead
Absolutely well said and great + valid points. Contractors is definitely a more complete game at this point in time. I also noticed the guns falling out on Pavlov, am not a fan at all
Pavlov was originally on the pc. It had lots of mods to choose from. When they made it cross-platform to psvr2, it took alot of the content away because of sonys modding policy. Such a shame because it was my favorite fps. I now have bought contractors because of that reason.
The only difference between contractor and pavlov is That Contractor has a better modding systeem and better mechanics, and Pavlov shack has more fun gamemode.
Contractors for more realistic mechanics. Like you can't get the mag out of an m4 without pressing the mag release. Recoil isn't ass. Time to kill is better. I think you didn't really played both games.
is this played just on quest 3 or do you suggest getting it on pc oculus store and airlink it? Just curious if it plays fine without being connected to a pc
as someone who has both, these are my opinions on both games, i personally feel like pavlov is better bc it engages and pushes realism and hardcore kind of gamemodes, its great for anyone and people like to go full try hard mode which immersed me allot more making it feel like a mil sim, the server browsing is 2x easier than contractor bc finding games that i liked was severely difficult in contractors. contractors was fun at first however i HATED how little recoil and how- just not challenging it was, which wasnt for me, i mainly use it for 1v1ing my friend, the fullbody ik was glitchy and the virtual gunstock was really lacking, i look for realism like ghosts of tabor weapon handling which pavlov succeded in but contractors lacked.
Huh? I don’t understand when you said in Pavlov you have to push a button to release the mag and you said the same thing in contractors that you have to push a button But don’t like it in contractors? A button is still a button how does a button change in each game? I’m confused? Then you say both games require you to push the button to release the mag
So Pavlov has a lot of customization actually. I think you missed it but if you just push down the joystick it'll open up the menu and also Pavlov has a bunch of game modes. Actually you were just looking at the single player ones. Plus Pavlov has way better graphics and way better gunplay
in pavlov in order to customize your weapons in the shooting range you can just pick it up over near the pistols and put it on your weapon. not every gun can have every attachment, so it will vary. in a resl game mode, you buy weapons when you spawn by clicking in your right thumbstick. the weapons will be separated by class (smg, heavy, rifle) there will be a separate section for grandes and armor and another for adding attachments to your gun. however you have to have your gun in the hand with the buy menu in order to add attachments. hope this helped
Yeah Pavlov VR has a lot. But the quest version of Pavlov Shack has basically nothing since it is cross platform with Sony and has a stricter modding rule.
