I had my duty belt for 14 years. It was issued to me and I was just being cheap. I finally broke down and went to Galls to get a new one. My old one literally started falling apart. I have my taser on my left side and my holster on my right. A radio holster and a light and a key holster is all I carry now. My new external vest has MOLLE clips. I wear the rest of my gear on my carrier. My back doesn’t hurt any more. So I think I external vests are a great idea for everyone’s lower back.
Sweet duty belt setup very nice. Bianchi basket weave Eliete duty belt. Mine died after 8 years and went back to Safariland Sam Brown Buckle Belt. Basket weave.
I feel your pain. I am constantly adjusting mine and moving stuff around. Just when I think I get it sorted out I change it again. Though I think got it this time 🤪. I have debated taking the OC off the belt, but it has worked well as dog repellent. Have yet to carry a baton. Thanks for the video. Stay safe.
I find it way easier to just leave hands cuffs, mags, OC etc inside their pouches whenever removing or adding stuff from the belt to get a more firmer and better grip on the pouches. Moving empty pouches gives you more hassle and might even deformed the pouches.
I would look into RDR gear tourniquet mounts. It mounts the TQ on the front of your Safariland holster and puts it in an easily accessible position for either hand to grab.
I recently just got my first ever duty belt, I'm planning on doing tribal public safety (security with arrest and investigation powers on the res). I got a LA police gear duty belt kit it came with pretty much everything to get started. To add o to it I got a double hand cuff case and a double pistol pouch. Setting up a duty belt was not as hard as I thought but really made me think as to where I would put everything on my belt.
Greetings sir, I have a question, is it possible to wear gun holster on the thigh for police officers like some military or it's gonna be only on your belt? What's is more convenient?
Depends on agency policy. K9 usually wears a thigh holster. It’s all preference really. I think it can be more difficult to draw from inside the vehicle with a thigh holster.
I work armed security and ill tell you when I moved my Baton and OC Spray off my belt man my back thanked me. They're on an external carrier along with my radio, tourniquet and spare mags my belt is as light as I can get.
What do you think about using a KORE belt in black for police work, if you wouldn't have the basket weeve policy? If you wouldn't get the KORE, which one would you prefer then? Greetings
This may be a stupid question but do you know who donut operator is if if you don't you may want to look him up on RUclips you have a little bit in common except he has a skate shop in Georgia
Heck yeah! Quick thing.. I've helped make and am still moderating a Discord server for another coptuber, (Around 4k subs) I noticed you didn't have one and I'd be more than happy to help you set one up if you wanted a spot for all your members to be able to chat and you can chat with them all at once. All up to you, just let me know.
Totally irrelevant, but my old salty ass wanted to say this, This isn't a dig on you or your channel, I just think its cool someone takes this level of passion for a job, ie making videos. To me it was just a job that I enjoyed. I think going into LE expecting to change the world when you first start, then a few years in, you get into a routine. Then you realize its not like that a lot of the time. I've been seeing an up tick in "cop tubers channels", and I hope its out of a passion for the job and not for money. I don't mean that in a negative way either. I see a lot of young impressionable people buying into cop tubers channels as being a cop is an entire personality, they get into the gear, guns, etc and forget that its still just a job. Especially with some of the.. Uhh not so legit " cop tubers ", (ie police impersonators that I keep getting recommended yet I haven't been in a squad car since 2019. Theyre legit random ass low sub channels that comment section looks like impressionable kids are commenting), that really can give people this idea that the job is " the best thing ever". I'm not saying you are either it was just more of a general comment on "cop tubers" in general. I like your doing it out of passion for the job and not for getting $$$ ad revenue and drawing that "coptuber crowd". I hope this comment doesn't come off as rude or critical.
Not rude at all and I agree. I hope to show all sides of the police world not just all the “cool” gear in such. I made a couple videos talking about the reality of the job so people really understand what it’s about.
He's retired police officer who does breakdowns of police shootings and defends the police departments when they deserve it of course he moved to Texas donut operator
Zero9holsters. Do yourself a favor and upgrade all your attachments to kydex. Also add a NCP to your holster to attach the TQ pouch to your gun holster.

I'm not in law enforcement but I really do enjoy these videos very much! Hope you find the time to post more.
Thanks!
I'm looking to go into law enforcement but don't know where to start still doing research
I changed my buckle from the plastic one to a cobra buckle.
Your cat uses your inattention and enjoys to explore the kitchen very cheeky hehe

Whoa! That’s big; thank you!

I missed you too 😁

That does make a lot of sense lol

Yeah I’ve seen these. Maybe I’ll snag one. That would also help with it rubbing on the uniform
Awesome setup
I got 12 days till academy, your videos have been so helpful
thank you! I'm glad they are helping
We are required to carry two less leathals so we are mostly stuck carrying batons or an OC
I’d probably go OC just because it’s lighter weight. Hmm maybe I should double check my policy 🤣
Check out the X belts. Game changer.

great set up!
Like the setup. I liked it more that your kitty cat made an appearance. 😀
I've used my baton on plenty of 2 legged predators, Always carried a window punch if i needed to break a window out.
Going to be taking my MC this Tuesday; any recommendations?please and thank you

I’m already feeling the benefits
I may have missed it, but what brand/model was your new belt?
Bianchi

How long have you been in law enforcement
I wonder if you could use pepper spray as hot sauce in a pinch
I’ve heard some have
How much does it weigh? My very first thought was "that looks heavy!" I can relate from a hiking standpoint.
Before taking those items off it was around 11lbs
@@Justthatofficer every ounce counts!

@@Justthatofficer I appreciate it sir!
Know this is a late comment but why not get the holster with the Tourniquet attachment so you wont have to have it on belt
Where’s the shirt from?
