John Parker Wilson, you were the reason I became interested in Alabama and college football. And I started watching quite by accident in the fall of 2006. Thank you. I love it now. I hope you are doing well.
He played for Propst in the early 2000s and he did make an appearance on Season 1 where he talked to Ross, his younger, about people at the time telling him to follow in John Parker's footsteps as the starting quarterback for Hoover and at the time they had an upcoming rival game against Spain Park in which John Parker told Ross that him and his team better not lose to them since Hoover and Spain Park have a hated rivalry against each other.
Even with prothro breaking his leg if we get out of overtime with LSU we would have beat Auburn. Losing the sec west in the lsu game just brought everyone down and lost their focus.
@@geoffreythomas7253 what I be doing be saying I bone is prothro lnjury ended Shula, if that boy hadn't got hurt theys wouldn't been no LSU overtime, bama would've went 12-0
@@waynewilliams5802 oh I completely agree, had prothro played we smoke lsu. I was just saying even without him we still almost ran it. The bad thing is, even if we went undefeated they would have left us outnof the title game. Nothing was stopping texas vs usc that year.
It sucks because it cost that kid his career. But if we had went 12-0 that season, we would have probably never got Saban. I'm not so sure we would have beat Auburn even if we had Prothro tho, Brodie got sacked 11 times in the Iron Bowl that season; it's tough to overcome 11 sacks. They weren't coverage sacks either, they were getting to him as soon as the ball was snapped.

JPW is a Great Young Man... Thank you for all you did at Alabama. I will always be a Big Fan! RTR...
Shula has never been given enough credit for Alabama's success when Saban first came on board.
What u mean that 6-6 season his first year and a music city bowl???? Hahaha ok
love you JPW!
Good video
Was he on two days, did he play for the infamous Rush Props at hoover?
That was his younger brother
he wasnt on the show that was his younger brother but he played for propst in high school.
He played for Rush but it was his younger brother on Two-A-Days, JPW was already in college by then.
He did appear on the show as a guest to his brother, Ross, who was one of the star casts.

He was a good guy a ok QB at Bama he was tough and could take a hit
He's smart having a good plan B. Very smart.
Roll Tide, JPW!
My favorite Bama QB .....RB is Roy Upchurch.
Looks like Heath Shuler
He has 3 names and still have never heard of him.
Not a Bama fan then
@@TIDEPROCESS18 i enjoy watching them occasionally but you're right don't really care much.
In 2005 if Tyrone prothro didn't break his foot Mike Shula would've run the table, they still went 10-2

Only thing Mike Shula did right was loose. He had that down pat
