    Super refreshing seeing someone that is able to have such reflection (and make a public video) without negative emotions about a 6 hour game loss. To me, it teaches me that I need to be humbler than I am and that you are more than those saddening emotions. Vamos Ana, dales caña!

    This analysis was fascinating and thank you for sharing with us your own learning experiences through this game. What I love about ALL your videos: you are a happy warrior and you use every game as a learning experience.....first for yourself.....and then you share it with all of us! I want you to win, but I appreciate your healthy attitude (and good sportsmanship) whenever you don't. That was pretty wild when she played all those great moves with her time running out! And I LOVE the main lesson: the game isn't always what it seems. I'll DEFINITELY remember that! Thank you, and good luck tomorrow!!!!!!

      She does not seem to live in a self delusion about how good she is in reality. A lot of people do that. I try not to, because I think it hinders further understanding and growth. The seemingly back side of that kind of thinking is, it seems to hurt your confidence while others may win more and be cocky (to themselves or others) at the time. But true confidence comes from winning and winning only, and doubting your self from beginning to winning, (while building on what you know),---is real tough to beat IMO. I enjoy her, "sense of life". (A wonderful term from Ayn Rand).

    Strengthen your body with physical training and your mental strength will increase as well. Bobby Fischer won many of his games through mental toughness and strength. He wore them down mentally. But you must strengthen your body with weight training and running endurance and speed. It will transform your game and your life. You can accomplish things you never dreamed of.

    Anna said she was "sad" after this game
    Of course it is so normal after such a long and intense game that she cares about the result
    But then she questionned herself why is she being sad?
    I mean she is that much smiling and happy all the time that she ask herself when she is not
    Her mentality and positive energy is so inspiring for me, and her smile is also very contagious so please, Anna, keep this up, you make me happy !

    If you can explain to me, (us). At min 5:34 you say you made a mistake and should have moved a pawn 2 places to "break the center". But that black center pawn is what is keeping the black bishop from controlling that diagonal to square e-4 that you mentioned earlier. My (lesser thinking) would say leave the black pawn there to make that bishop less effective. But my plans always get changed in this game on the average of one more move. :)
    Can you tell me if my thinking there is valid?

  • @trrlii913
    @trrlii913 2 года назад

    15:16 That's happened many times. It's probably calculation shorthand to register space as being threatened so we can eliminate it quickly from move tree. But when situation changes in later moves on our move tree we forget to remove the threat square. I don't know how to not keep making this mistake

    • @trrlii913
      @trrlii913 2 года назад

      20:24 Seems you went for b4 because you hoped to wait out your opponent and get her into deeper time pressure. You played even less aggressive when actually you should play even more aggressive during your opponent time trouble. Time trouble is like a multiplier on your aggression. So if you don't use aggression then the time trouble won't have much to multiply upon

    • @trrlii913
      @trrlii913 2 года назад

      23:13 I realize this mistake happens a lot too. When you make the obvious automatic move and then only after the play do you see what you could have played. I guess there are three kinds of main feelings we have in chess: There is no danger--No Wrong Move; Everything is danger but it's already lost--All Wrong Move; and warning danger--All Wrong Move Except One. Maybe it would be helpful to identify the situation in this way to decide if what you are subconsciously telling yourself is true.

    11:25 Your knight is hanging and pinned. But you can play Nc5, attacking black's queen as well as a double attack on the bishop, basically forcing a queen trade, because i don't think black would like your queen on g7, forking a rook and a pawn. Not sure if that would lead to a preferable position because your knight wouldn't have many squares to go after the trade, but at least you wouldn't lose a piece there. You would also end up with a terrible development of pieces in general. Complicated position :)
    You were under the impression that a3 was still under attack. In the situation i mentioned, your opponent may have been under the impression that your knight couldn't move. Jumping out of a pin like that, can catch your opponent by surprise. In some situations, you may be able to use such tactics to your advantage. :)

I think u castled too early, failed to gather any firepower to actually carry out a queen side invasion and with that failure came counter invasion. Check out 2018 alpha zero games and how it uses tactics for invasions, its kinda enlightening.
