    I'm a total beginner trying to learn as much as I can before I tackle building some garden walls in my yard. I'm just curious, when you say in the title that this is a dry stone wall, why do you also use mortar/cement? I thought dry stone meant stone only?

    How much did all this stone cost? If you don't mind.

      £145 + VAT per tonne I think, but I was sub-contracting on this job.

    Why did you decide to not block wall behind the curved section? Will that be the self-drain?
