I have the huge billboard Rock Island you speak of. It was manufactured in 2013. I bought it when my now wife and I were dating in 2020. It has serious sentimental value. I have since gave it the full treatment with Wilson and Nighthawk parts, and Duracoat which does an awesome job getting rid of the billboard.
I have one of those, I’ve had it for 6 years. It has the factory adjustable rear sight on it. It’s a Novak. I bought some ed brown mags for it. I love it. It’s one of my most favorite pistols of all time. Till I got my magnum research g1911 10mm and my Tisas Yukon carry.
Got an RIA Commander sized bull barrel. 45 acp. It shoots really well and accurate. I too changed the gry/blk grips to double diamond Hogue grips. Excellent video and presentation Wyoming!
You said there’s a little float in the barrel, is it drop in? I’d be interested to know how well it’s fitted at the barrel feet, is it even contact, is it a link rider that doesn’t even touch the slide stop pin? Inquiring minds want to know 👍🏻
IIN 2023, I bought a NIB special ordered the same RIA. Upon my receiving it, the parkerized finish was horrible and there was surface rust on the front sight and dovetail. I was told that RIA mounts the sights then applies the finish leaving bare metal in under the sights. RIA did not deny this. Even though RIA requested I send it to them, I chose to send the new unfired 1911 45 to be black nitrided.
@@wyominggunproject I was going to have it cerakote but nitride was recommended and I have known the FFL owner since 1994 when we started our police careers, so I trust his insight. I had this same firearm about 11yrs ago and it had no issues. Great video!

Thanks again for stopping by Slim 🤠
I have an Armscor 1911 but its a Cimarron. It has the Cimarron horse that looks like a Colt Pony

Great review … thanks.
I really like that grip!! How U like your Olight? Or I should stick with Streamlight TLR?? Thanks!!
I like the Olight. In my opinion Streamlight is very good but very expensive.
How does it compare to the Tisas? Quality, value, etc?
I believe Tisas offer better quality and value. 🤠
Hello from sv wy
Hello 👋

I don’t have any of those issues with this example and I would love to get this pistol refinished🤠
