Happy to hear you had the camera insured, something for me to think about regarding my equipment. At least you know all the red flags now haven gone through this and you know what to expect.

The other day someone car was stolen after advertising on GumTree! They stole it right in front of their own home after the owner gave them the key to test drive it!

I live in Hawaii. There is sooooo much theft here it's crazy. I had my wallet stole some months back and it was the worst feeling ever. It pretty much robbed me of my whole day. Needless to say, I agree with the police station. If they are unwilling to meet you there then that's a definite red flag. Also, when making transactions such as that, make sure you tell your friend or family where you going just in case. Try to meet up where cameras are visibly shown and try to get their license plate as well. Just my two cents 🤷🏾♀️ However, I'm glad it all worked out for you in the end.

This is actual BULL crap. It doesn't actually surprise me though because lately I've been hearing of people stealing cash/cell phones here. They say they have a cell phone for sale and then the person who has the money gives it to them and then they steal the phone and the money. I'm glad you are okay and not hurt though. I love your Mario shirt. Old school. I am mad at you too for running although I would too. I mean it's not worth it. At least you know where he was etc. I hope you find it and I don't have any insurance on my camera hmm should I do that? We have a 1200 camera the Sony Tsi or whatever it is.. then the s7, then the sony cybershot which was 800, and then a fuji which wasn't much.. we have something called kijiji here and it's def much better and safer. We always let people come to our house ha ha like we just had puppies and my hubby has a business out of the house.. I feel safe though in our neighborhood and we have cameras up outside the house.. I'm glad you are okay and that you got the insurance for it at least..

Ace JB it is bundled in with our liability insurance for our photography company. All of our gear is insured for loss and this includes theft. We use Hiscox, but there are many others out there too. Most insurance companies have a business insurance division. If you are looking into some type of business insurance, I highly recommend getting it. It’s usually pretty affordable and well worth the investment it in my opinion.
