Jacque loves to cuddle and wants nothing more than to snuggle up in the warm lap of someone he loves. For many of us, having an incredibly affectionate kitty shower us in love sounds like a dream, but unfortunately, Jacque’s family did not feel the same.

I don’t want to be judgemental, but HOW in the world. Could ANYONE possibly give up an animal for wanting to show AND receive affection?
Because they are ignorant and stupid? Or just soulless.
They might not be particularly big on giving to or receiving affection from people, either, but I somehow find affection from animals a lot easier to trust.

It's beyond insane to get a pet and then give it back because it was too affectionate. The previous owners didn't deserve that cat or any other pet

Agreed, why own a cat if you are just going to give it up for being "too affectionate"?
Mental illnesses cause that sometime. Psychopaths and narcissist will toss away pets, when they get tired of them. They may not even know that they have a mental illness, but they can be recognized by that kind of behavior.
Example: my father passed away, and after the funeral, relatives gathered at his house to say good-bye to each other. Father's cat also walked around there looking for his master. Suddenly, a distant relative stood up, grabbed the cat and began to carry it towards the door. I grabbed him by the collar and turned him towards me, like what the hell dude! Then this relative explained that now the cat must be thrown out and door of the house must be locked. It will come here a few more times to cry and then go away.
I took the cat from him, threw out the door this newly found psychopath and advised him never to come back.
I still have that cat and he sleeps on my wife's pillow corner every night.
Some people don't realise the point of getting a cat.😞

It is so distressing that someone would reject him because he craved love.
I have a beautiful adopted shelter female cat who has been with me for 9 months.
She is about 2.5 years old with a set of kittens prior to her intake into the shelter.
After my wife’s death she was a welcome relief after years of sorrow.
She is spoiled rotten as she should be and I hope to introduce another female cat at about one year old to her.
I hope that it works.

We had one cat, Sassy, who I got out of a kill shelter an hour before the needle. She wrapped her arms around my neck when I first saw her. And thereafter all she wanted was to be carried around like a baby with her head on my shoulder., or sit on one of our laps. As sad as being rejected made Jacque, he deserved someone who would appreciate his unconditional LOVE!
Would doesn't want their cat to be a snuggle-bug ?!? First owner's loss. Liz & Family's forever LOVE ❣❣❣❣❣❣
There should be a law to prevent the people who took Jacque to the shelter from ever having a cat again. They clearly weren't worthy of cat ownership.
Glad he got adopted to people who will appreciate his love.

People are so strange. I love cuddles from my cats. I had a like Jack. She died when she was 17. I still miss her till this day.
How can you give up a cuddly animal. It just wants love. Don't get a pet if you don't want to give it love. Makes me so mad at that person for treating this beautiful kitty that way. Glad he found a great family to love on him.

I have a three years old black & white "farm cat" which I've had since he was 3 months. I love him to death, but he's not a lap cat , but that's just his personality.
Looks like a loving couple adopted Jacque and will enjoy his love and affection for many years

I have one of those and wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.
His previous human clearly didn't deserve such a great cat.

I am wonderfully happy that Jacque was adopted. I would have adopted him like a shot.

Our family has had several very friendly and affectionate cats for many years. Having an affectionate cat who wants and gives love in return is my idea of heaven🥰🥰
My big boy cat, Drogo, is very cuddly, it makes me treasure him, even more. His brother is shy, but also loves to cuddle. I truly adore them so much!

Jacques former owner prefers a rabid Tasmanian devil. Beautiful souls always seem to end up in the worst households however luckily this beautiful cat has has found his heavenly home with such a loving family which he deserves unreservedly.

I do know what to say about this, a cat is too affectionate so they surrender him, i am so glad he has gone to a family that will give him the care he needs and look after him.
Obviously, that grumpy owner has never had a boyfriend. That attitude is a cancer to a loving relationship, even with a wonderful cat like Jacque. I wish I had had a chance to adopt him. I'd devote virtually all of my free time to him. 😻

……have a beautiful Ginger 🐈 like ‘Jock’. She’s the smoochiest, loving kitty, who follows me around, does much kneading on my lap, & is an excellent ‘watch cat’. She purrs loudly when I go near her to pat her, & loves being brushed! She’s a rescue I got, & wouldn’t know what to do without her!
I have a cat exactly like this. I love my Beta but I will admit, he's is relentless when he wants affection and in the work from home era it can be troublesome when I am presenting on camera at times. But I never viewed his affection as a bad thing. It's the best of the best.
When my ginger boy chooses to hang out with me, even after 13 years, I feel so privileged 😻. Some people don’t deserve animals. Their loss

@@shirleyn546 It's a blessing for sure. I have 2 cats. Lucky was a rescue off the street and she is super hesitant to jump on my lap. It appears that whomever owned her before I got her made her scared as she puts one paw on me for a few seconds to see if I'll push her away, then she proceeds to climb up fully.
Beta has no such issue. He demands affection on his time and you are helpless to stop it.
@@CDiesel720 they’re as individual as us. We’ve just the one now, who, being with me all day, as now decided his dad needs him every evening. When he comes to me, I always say thank you to him. It is indeed a blessing to have the love and trust of an animal. Aren’t we lucky?

I'm from Michigan and I would have loved this cat. We have 3 cats and we love them so much ❤ 💗 💖 💕 ♥ 💜 ❤ 💗 💖 💕 I'm so glad he's doing great in his forever home.

No true cat lover would ever find that as a reason to give up a cat. They sound awful. Thank goodness he found a family that loves him as he is.
There must be something not quite right with the woman who gave him up. We have a saying "one sandwich short of a picnic" and there are variations on that theme. But at least she didn't dump him somewhere to slowly die.
We have seventeen cats, all rejects or dumped by cruel previous owners. All very different personalities, some accept more than others and are more affectionate, others are still semi-wild, all are my family.
We lost one last week to kidney failure, she was dumped here elderly and pregnant but she was quiet gentle intelligent wise gave birth to two beauties and was a wonderful mother. I don't have favourites but I am missing her badly.

He looks like my kitty Dennis. Dennis is also a very affectionate cat, at least he is to me. I have no problem with him wanting to be petted or sleeping on my lap all the time. I look forward to the time I get to spend with him.

Thank you, Liz, for giving Jacques then love he deserves! One of the cats sleeping on my bed right now was brought into our clinic for euthanasia because she was too friendly. Her "roommate" was brought in to be killed because the owners changed their minds and decided they didn't want her after all. People can be just sick sometimes.😡🤬

To me there is never a good enough reason to drop your animals- they have so much devotion.
Only things that are forgivable is being broke and if your too I’ll to look after them. 😢
Too much love. What a cross for the previous family to put up with. One day those people will want love and will find that since they didn't care to give it that they won't be receiving any.

I love my affectionate cats!! Our cat Frankie loves being held more than the other three and my spouse and I love when he wants to cuddle. We do get a bit annoyed when we're doing something and he wants to get in our face, but we just redirect him to something else and give him extra love later. Also as someone who struggles with anxiety, depression, PTSD and other health issues, I love when my cats want to just cuddle. Somedays when I'm having a difficult day my spouse brings Frankie into our bedroom to cuddle withe when I'm in bed. It always cheers me up and helps me feel better.
