Best exhaust for perfomace, akrapovic is the best just dont like long can but they have shorty and it sound much better and louder! Shorty akra with link pipe for sound, pops and crakls :D
Ejr i have installed already a few akra full systems on my bikes and my costumers... but on my first s1krr 2010 i found out that the arrow full systems can deliver much more torque ... i am telling you this because on the video you mentioned the characteristiques of the headers and specially the mid pipe... and the big diference for the arrow's is preciselly there... for you to imagine , akra full systems measure about 40mm (aprox) on the Double link of the mid pipe to the headers and 65mm ( aprox) on the connection for the end can... arrow's do 42mm and 63mm on the same spots... diferences are very noticeable i must say... but nothing better than you test it on your own... you won't regret...! Nice job there !
Akrapovic started their R&D and sponsorship of Kawasaki at the introduction of the Gen. 4 ZX10R. So, the systems became better tailored for Kawasaki at that point. Prior to that Kawasaki was paired with Leo Vince. Through many many test, it is proven that for a Gen. 4 to Gen. 6 ZX10R, no other exhaust produces more power or torque than Akra does. I love Arrow, an amazing exhaust.

@@ErnestoBoots not off hand... I know most reputable aftermarket Headers are around 60mm to 65mm. They should have the OD dimensions listed in the descriptions for the SC Project CRT 3/4 and whichever header you choose
Hello. I also bought an Akrapovic full exhaust and am about to install it, but will the radiator move forward just by loosening the lower mounting bolt? My 10R has a tight radiator hose, so it seems impossible to do it without removing the hose, but has that ever happened to you? I would appreciate your answer.

When you get to the airbox part of the build, would you mind going into a little extra detail as to how the heat shielding benefits intake air temps. I can't wrap my head around it (excuse the pun). It just seems that incoming ram air is coming through so fast and engine heat also being removed that any heat insulation benefits seem marginal, if at all. I can understand if the bike is on a dyno surrounded by heat, but on the road at speed it seems a tad moot. Please enlighten me and anyone else not asking the question. PS I'm quite conservative with likes and thumbs up. But I tend to spend a shit load of them on your content. Keep it up man. And thanks.

Jeez I remember putting my full Akro I bought off of this 1 dude and the install was such shit. It was a 3rd gen Zx10r, I couldn’t pull the radiator very far forward so it cut my hands up pretty bad. But I bought the Full akro for $700, flashed. ECU for $200, and black gas tank for $150. I looped my bike so it was getting rebuilt and I came across that deal so why not? Went from restricted ECU and mid-pipe delete, M4 Street Slayer, to full Akro and Flashed/Unrestricted ECU. So made it go faster after the accident 😂😂 when you get a deal jump on it. But curiously, what would you say, I really want the Brocks Pentacarbon Exhaust, but Akro sounds amazing too. I know you said you choose Akro but would it big a HUGE difference between the Brocks or Akro??
And what’s with the tappin of the rubber mallet? Just helps it seat better? I’m sorry I’ve commented on a lot of your videos of stupid questions, but I’m getting a 2019 here in a few months so I’m trying to get the best answers I can. Those stock headers look really good. A shame it has the cat in it as it must be a high quality titanium piece. The akrapovic still is much better probably ;)
@@tatuksa if you're on a budget, then yes the stock header with a slip-on along with a link pipe to delete the CAT is about as good as you can get. It will in no way at all out perform a Full Akrapovic Exhaust. Primaries are bigger and stepped. The Venturi collector is incorporated into the exhaust to take full advantage of those very differences between the STOCK Header & the Akra Header for optimum extraction of exhaust... It creates a vacuum effect to increase velocity of exhaust extraction. The Akra Full System is also lighter than the Stock header w/slip-on & link pipe.
You should had done a quick comparison between the stock headers and how they look as opposed to the modded headers. I always feel like they're so similar and want to know HOW they actually provide better flow. Secondly, my question is: does this thing need a power commander after all those mods, or just taking it to get it tuned eliminates the need for a power commander? I have a slip on exhaust on my zx10r, my zx6r came with an akrapovic exhaust and a power commander when I got it used, I guess I'm asking when is it necessary for a power commander if you just have the canister or slip on. So does that akra can have a removable DB killer? I think I heard you say it does and if it does was it out? Man it's quite! I am running a Austin racing 3/4 but the can or muffler had 3 different noise levels meaning it has 1 removable DB killer on the end and a thick insulated baffle on the other end , I've only ever removed the DB killer because it's already to loud just running it that way. Everyone seems to love the looks and sound of it though, maybe in the future you could try it on a build Evan? The qaulity seems to be top notch too. Anyways I'm totally rambling my bad !! That bike is going to be a killer for sure!!
Stock header is good from factory. I would say it's the best OEM header of any of the other sportbikes from factory hands down. It's just not better than the Akra system. The primaries are smaller, it's stepped (but not nearly as well as the Akra), and as EJR stated the Venturi Effect that Akra incorporates into the system puts it into an entirely different category. If you're on a budget and couldn't afford a Full Akra, a slip-on w/ a link pipe to delete the Cat and the STOCK header on a Gen. 4 to Gen. 6 ZX10R is pretty much on par or maybe better than any other aftermarket Full System. It's just not as good as the Akra though.
@@parthasarathy5450 Brock's Performance in my opinion would make more peak power as I feel that the systems are designed for that reason based on Brock's Drag Racing focus. I think the Akra makes more power through out the power curve where it's usable by everyday riders and probably doesn't make as much peak power (I don't think it's anything crazy like 3 or 5 horsepower less though). This should put into perspective for you... You don't see any WSBK or MotoAmerica bikes running a Brock's System do you?

You will need to adjust the fueling if you change the headers. It'll run lean and just shitty in general. You can either go the power commander route or have the ECU flashed directly. If you want the option to return your bike to standard get a power commander.

How do you get around the exhaust header pipe (left side) so close to coolant hose. It practically touches pipe.

after the install did the check engine light come on? i just did the link pipe and muffler and it has the check engine light on constantly.
