Not only is it hard, but good wooden vert ramps are rare so you're lucky if you get to skate something like this whenever you want
I remember way back in the day skating with Chris Haslam on a vert ramp at the old Red Dragon park near Vancouver (I'm a street guy so I was terrified of the big ramp) and he was super stoked on doing a 2' frontside 5-0 (after several tries) even though he could do every trick imaginable on every other ramp there. Unless you've skated vert you have no idea how gnarly it is.
@@Satisfry1 I skated a vert ramp with Grant Taylor and got to talk to him, he was cool and absolutely destroyed it while I was just trying axle stalls

Rockstar should do a limited promo of signature cans of all there pros and call them Rockstar's rockstars.

Mind blowing! I used to get front side air off a ramp when I was 16 and I thought that was amazing in 1977. We learned how to do that from a photo from Skateboarder Mag. No Videos then, only your imagination. This stuff is incredible though. Just got a new board. Maybe I'll try and get some 920's. Ah if only. Enjoy it my young friends. You can't imagine how fast it goes by.

I wanna skate vert so bad I wish it existed anywhere near me. Growing up near Chicago the only time I ever had the opportunity to skate vert was at Modern in Grand Rapids and I was like 12 and coming off a broken foot so I was a puss.

it's insane how technical vert skating has become. This being said I'd still rather watch them go high and do stylish airs than all the rail and liptricks stuff.
I have a question. I just bought my son a triple eight Helmet. It is your flat black with a skull and crossbones. He wrecked hard on a street and I figured it was a good idea to helmet him up. My son loved the logo on the side of it, but it was also cool, to both of us, that it says Skate and Destroy Cancer on the back of the helmet. Do you have a foundation for that? My son really liked that part. We are new fans, he is 15, and wants to go all in. I was just wondering if there was something behind that message. Thanks. Your home and ramp are amazing.

Yeah people get cranky on Twitter about microaggressions and ridiculous stuff like that but companies still make skateboards and it's still fun so why can't she be a skater? I don't get the correlation. The world is empirically better than it's ever been. What's this new shit world you speak of?
@@jasondashney I live in Liverpool UK with one of the biggest indoor skate parks in Europe at the back of my house. Its been shut down for months due to the pre-planned collapse of our economy under the guise of a virus. (Don't even try my knowledge - I'm ex military surveillance and a current lecturer in Government policy; I know my shit) Empirically better than ever? Nah - give me the 70's and 80's any day. Sorry if you feel like I'm being a Debbie-Downer on this awesome video, I made my comment on a bad day. Just seeing at close quarters how the skating community is being broken up and financially ruined is crappy. And don't forget we're stuck with draconian laws here, being herded inside after one hour of fresh air. I don't obey any rules personally but my daughter has two parents and his say is as important as mine. Struggling a bit at the moment to be honest. When you know the depths of the evil at hand, you can't un-know it!
@@sade799 It's only temporary, thankfully (hopefully?). I live across the street from an indoor park in Vancouver that's been closed for ages too. Your park is undoubtedly better than mine though. Even though yours is closed I'm still jealous. ;-P
