I'm with you on 24 in 24 - there's no way I could deal with having that many new starts, but I really like your idea of picking WIPs for the 24. I've only got 11 right now though so I could use a few more! 😊 Happy stitching!!
Your stitching is beautiful, so so neat. I don’t mind if you re show your with no change, work because I can’t remember from month to month either. Thank you for making me feel like you are talking to us as if we are friends in the same room as you.
Loved floss tube. You have a lot of projects for 2024. I can’t do that because I am a slow cross stitcher. Good thing I don’t have a floss tube but enjoy them.😊
I just did a floss tube search and your video popped up and I am so happy it did. I enjoyed every minute of you video because you are so real. You laugh at yourself and at the same time show us beautiful stitching. I made sure that I subscribed and hit the notification bell. Whenever you do your next video, I will be watching. Thank you for doing such a good job.
Thank you Alana for your kind words, and for the shout out❣️ I appreciate it SO very much!!! I always I love seeing your beautiful stitching! I almost have my Prairie Schooler for this year done. I have to do at least one for the season, since Christmas and Prairie Schooler go hand in hand in my opinion. I am trying my best to not pile so much onto my plate, especially this time of year so I can spend more time with my family, and of course more time to stitch!
How funny. I thought I was the only one who doubled my glasses with a wearable magnifier. However, I already wear progressive lenses and the magnifier is the only way to see anything higher than 16 count Aida. I guess I need new glasses, too.
I loved seeing your stitching, but now I need to oder 3 patterns after watching. 😂 Going to Jingle Ball. Grandkids are the best. Spoil them with love. Bye till next time.
You will love having the progressive lens they are amazing also I just got craft glasses made they are amazing. Just keep that thought in mind when you shopping for glasses. Get regular lens with progressive and then a pair of crafts glasses. I enjoyed watching you today as well
I do the same thing with my cross stitch carts! Then I end up buying something and when it comes wondering how it got it my cart 😂 I have been wanting to start Christmas village also! I feel like I need to finish farmhouse Christmas first …. So much to stitch and sew and scrapbook and do little time …
I just found you and love your video. I am a fellow Canadian and a new flosstuber from southeastern Saskatchewan. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your videos. Winona
Hey, Alana! I’m so glad RUclips suggested you to me! I enjoyed your video and beautiful stitching, and am looking forward to going back and bingeing your previous videos. Happy stitching!
The cross stitch project bags are so much fun to make, and you're going to enjoy using them too. The vinyl fronts make it so easy to find what you're looking for. And Elizabeth's video is fantastic! I learned to make these bags by watching her video; and then picked up a few pointers myself which I will pass on to you in an email (too long to list here). Enjoyed your video and seeing your work.
I’m going to the Jingle ball for the first time this year and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s going to be interesting to see who I run across in the stitching rooms as I’m in the U.K.
Hi alana. My name is Emma and I am from redditch UK. I love watching your videos. I just recently got up to date with all of your videos. Thanks to watching one of your videos (no.9 I think). I have started Stitching on the seasonal square series. I started on spring, but I haven't stitched on it for a couple of weeks because like you I am trying to get all my Christmas Stitching done in time for Christmas. I have also got a flosstube channel called cross stitch heaven, and I recently uploaded my first video. Thank you again for all your wonderful videos. You really are a joy to watch.
Liz (Wandering Stitcher) was half of Antique Needleworkers for a bit. Liz has the most beautiful stitching!!! You will love Shellie’s (the other half) videos as well!! The Two Bay Stitchers are also in Prince Edward Island, So much Flosstube, so little time! LOL
I really enjoyed your video. Love the projects and your attitude. Life gets in the way. I’m ordering the Christmas village. I did not even know about it. Thankyou so much for the advice. I usually do 36 ct which I like but I’m looking at more 18 ct etc. just so you can see it. When I started back in the 80s there was not as many choices. I am a quilter but started doing more x stitch again a couple of years ago and I love it. Love reproduction also. I have Christmas rose also and want to start it. Don’t worry I do the same things. Thanks. Sue Chavanne I live in buffalo ny.
Not sure if I mentioned that Kemptville Fabric shop has DMC...in case that is a help. Great progress on Acorn....I love this one too and have it waiting to be started...lol. Autumn Rules are also great. It will look so good in your home.
Hi Hanna! I didn’t realize that they had DMC! I haven’t been in there for years. I need to go and check them out. I used to take quilting classes there years ago
I agree that some 36 counts seem tight and some 40 seem loose. One dyer to the next, the shrinkage tightens things in varying degrees is what I assume is the difference. I am doing the jingle ball no classes also. I hope we run into each other. It is me in London Ontario that gets the 123 Stitch packages in about a week. Don’t know why.
I really enjoyed watching your video tonight! And yes - I missed you the last weeks 😂 but I can totally relate that filming once a month at the moment fits better in your schedule. Also thank you so so so much for shouting me out! ❤ I almost fell of my couch when I heard my name 😊 I am also participating in the jingle ball and I am curious to see who will be online in a stitching room when it is early morning here and the middle of the night in North America…
It's all good....I have lots of fabric and should not be buying more anyway.....LOL.....but I wish they would come to Kemptville more often. Gobble is lovely...I always love the scattered alphabets in patterns. I like your 'mallow'...very nice. It gives it a little interest beside the pattern, if you know what I mean. I forget, do you stitch in hand or Q-snap...?? I bought O Christmas Tree too...so cute. Yes, I am going to the Gingle Ball. I have joined the Hands On Design Class....hope I can maneuver the site well....if you know what I mean...I am not the best at technology...lol.
@@Mrssmithstitches Trixi Tricycle has a utube explaining how the Evertote stand works and how she uses it. Very nice but a bit pricy. I have one that I got from the Crosstitch Cupboard eons ago and it is ok but the Evertote one looks way better
Good to see you back. I'll be going to the Jingle Ball. My sister did it last year and absolutely loved it, so she got me into it this year. I'm scheduled for the Biscornu class. Regarding your lighting for stitching, a few weeks ago SWTH Priscilla talked about a neck light she had discovered and loves, so I ordered one and let me tell you, it is a game changer. I don't know how I ever stitched without it. I was at the Annabella's retreat last weekend, and was talking with her about it, and she agreed. It is listed in their Amazon shop.
Every time I see your Flosstubes, it inspires me to start my own! I just don't know where or how to start! Keep up the amazing work Everything looks beautiful
I am trying to decide what do to about WIPGO as well; I don’t really have enough WIPS to fill a board, but I liked how it gave me a vision about what I wanted to accomplish this year. I ended up putting some FFO’s on my board, but I am not nearly as excited to do those as I am the stitching things on the board. 😜 I am in the same boat as you where I don’t want to buy more patterns and supplies than I can reasonably do, but I also want to participate in all the fun things. I signed up for the Jingle Ball for the first time and I am looking forward to the event, even though I know I am going to mess up my plans to buy no new supplies until January 😅😂😂
It’s so hard! So much to do and so little time 😂😂. This year for my WIPGO. I took a few Wips and out them on my board more than once. That helped me get more work done on the projects that I was trying to finish
Word of warning once you go to Progressives you can’t go back, your eyes hate it LOL I’m due new glasses and I’m thinking I might see if besides my progressives I can just get a good pair of magnifying ones solely for cross stitch. We’ll see, depends on the cost too! So good to sit and listen to your plans, have you tried the app Notion? I downloaded it the other day and bought a stitch database template from StitchyNati which is helping me get organised. There’s a really good video on her channel (its the only video so easy to find) where she works with Michelle Bendy Stitchy in setting up a new one. Worth a look! Take care, Nic x
Hi! I don’t think so. I am hoping to get my Wip count down for 2025. I know I will have a few more new starts but not planning on starting a new Wip after every finish
I’m waiting on the Christmas Village pattern. Looking forward to starting that one! There’s a SAL going on too. #pschristmasvillageSAL My 123stitch wish list is a long as my arm and growing 🙄
You had me at, “My brain would just poof!”. I am a monogamous stitcher. All those WIPs people talk about would make my brain go poof too! ❤

Fingers crossed that you get all your Christmas stitching done! My main goal is to get This Joyous Season done, so wish me luck, hahaha!
You can do it!! I definitely won’t get it finished 😂

😂. I never realized how blind I was until I started on 40ct
Oh I hear you about the 123 stitch wish list. I get my stuff in Pei pretty quickly.
