I think supporting, contributing and being generous is a natural byproduct of being a Christian. If we need to be constantly reminded, guilted or pressured something is either wrong with us or we don’t value what is being offered. I have been trying something different over the last few years and instead of donating to an organization every month, my wife and I put aside a set amount of funds that we HAVE TO share with others or causes. Cut out the middle men! They already have too much around the middle already😉

In their rubbish book reasoning from the scriptures it states its illegal to ask for donations in Pennsylvania. I the year 2013 these bums forced us to give a monthly fixed amount.after 60 years I told them where to go.

Peter and Paul were both sorry for past actions and yet the governing body NEVER apologized for encouraging people to sell their homes and donate to them and then their prophecy was flawed. When they disfellowshipped me they did me a favor. One of the elders on my case owed me 600 hundred dollars. If Jesus was on earth today I feel confident he would whip them like the money changers of his day.

Excellent video thanks !! I had a problem with the passing out of slips paper to put in the contribution box asking for an amount we were willing to contribute. So instead of writing an amount, I attached a note with scriptural reasons why it was wrong ... that went over like a lead balloon. It wasn't long before 2 elders came knocking on my door asking if it was me that wrote the note. We had quite a discussion. I think they realized that I was correct but would not admit it.

Did you watch the entire video? BIG difference. The JWs claim they aren't like other churches, and don't solicit money. And they're skimming pennies off the poor. What do they do with their money? Take care of widows? No. Take care of the poor? No. Pay off child abuse cases they cover up? Yes.
Every church/organization is guilty of this. I have listened to a lot of sermons from a lot of different pastors and eventually they all have one message. Give your money to God. I even heard an interesting spin on one of the sermons I listened to and the man actually said if you aren't giving a tenth then there is something wrong with your relationship with God. That generosity is proof of your relationship with God. My wife has been in a church that has had a wall of shame and names of people on the wall that hadn't gave their tithe. New testament says that the people gave freely by selling all their possessions and giving to the apostles and the money was distributed as one had need. The old testament said that every tenth animal that passed under the staff was to be set aside for the levites and the levites had no property and relied solely on their brothers for food and if it was money then another 5% was to be given so 15% once a year. But at the end of the day if you enjoy your church or in this case your congregation then give cheerfully not begrudgingly because God loves a cheerful giver and money makes the world go round and pays the bills. The only thing that the jehovahs witnesses don't do that is mandatory is give to the poor my mom who has been a witness for about 50 or so years said its because Jesus said preaching the gospel is the most important thing. But they ignore that he also said give to the poor and help those in need. Churches should never be a for profit organization but sadly most are ran in that way. The only pastor I have to give props to is chip ingram he said he doesn't care if you give to his church or if you give to a charity as long as you give a portion of what God has given to you. I ranted long enough good video by the way I currently don't have what most call a spiritual home because I have doctrinal differences with most denominations and most would see me as a heretic.

How much does “the preaching work” cost nowadays, since all JWs have to do is sit in their houses and write letters. I doubt Watchtower is supplying every publisher with pens and paper, envelopes and stamps. Since there is so much less literature printed that JWs have to “place” in field service, that means there is that much less literature that Watchtower has to print. They are saving money at every turn, but they still ask for more, more, more.
In my teen years in the early 80's I turned away from religion and the JW. After that I watched every thing they did with suspicion. But they mostly still seemed pleasant and uncorrupted. In recent years I am shocked by how publicly petty, vicious and scheming they have become. I can only presume their mindframes have been concentrated and poisoned by social media use, like much of society. I also notice many of the Kingdom Halls I saw as a youth are missing from the landscape now.

How much do the GB, President, Treasurers donate from their living expense ( money$.., living quarters world wide. Vacation buildings, automobiles, etc..& gifts) given to them is donated back to the organization, since ordinary JW members fund their own expenses for their ministry & KH buildings. The local members donate to materials they use in the ministry & attendance of supporting buiildings (maintenance & expense), then they (members of their local KH) support the use of KH and pay their own expense for attending the conventions, & reimburse the visits expense of district & circuit overseers or any invited guest for giving a special talk. Its expensive to fund the demands of the organization. Then my next ? ; " why is ALL donations not accounted for?" When trying to follow the money..there is a lot of hidden funds unaccountable for.

I began waking up at the very end of 2018, reading Crisis of Conscience and Franz' other book. I spent a couple of months intentionally watching "apostate" videos. And then I found Eric's videos. I scrambled to email him. So, by the time the ARC disaster rolled around, I was ready to take it all in. Some of us have seen Eric’s videos and whilst he gets a lot right, sadly his belief in all go to heaven is utterly incorrect and the Bible is absolutely clear that the majority will live on the earth forever, why would Jehovah want everyone in heaven, do you think that Adam and Eve would have eventually gone to heaven had they not sinned? Of course not, Jehovah created them to live forever.
Well, it seems to be quite factual that Tony certainly was not "empty handed" after visiting the liquor store with about 900.00 worth of expensive Scotch. Must be he put it all on a credit card donated by JWS.
Many Jehovah's Witnesses especially in Africa, and in other places are still reeling from the sorrowful effects of covid19, yet these JW leaders are so heartless and greedy to ask for more and more donations. I feel it's very cruel, especially having Morris, the Macallan bibber giving the Talk.

That is true on a one-to-one individual level, but there are subtler forms of coercion. If there is no coercion, then why are they demanding all congregations make out resolutions for very specific amounts of money which the publishers are going to feel obligated to meet? Also, why did this commenter immediately delete his comment? I got an email notification, but when I came to reply, it was gone.
He was defending the organization, which should be in his mind a good and righteous thing to do, so why chicken out and remove the comment? Could it be that he is afraid of commenting on an "apostate" channel? And if so, if fear is the likely motivation, what does that say about organizational coercion?

I think supporting, contributing and being generous is a natural byproduct of being a Christian. If we need to be constantly reminded, guilted or pressured something is either wrong with us or we don’t value what is being offered. I have been trying something different over the last few years and instead of donating to an organization every month, my wife and I put aside a set amount of funds that we HAVE TO share with others or causes. Cut out the middle men! They already have too much around the middle already😉

When they disfellowshipped me they did me a favor. One of the elders on my case owed me 600 hundred dollars. I had a problem with the passing out of slips paper to put in the contribution box asking for an amount we were willing to contribute. So instead of writing an amount, I attached a note with scriptural reasons why it was wrong ... that went over like a lead balloon. It wasn't long before 2 elders came knocking on my door asking if it was me that wrote the note. We had quite a discussion. I think they realized that I was correct but would not admit it.

Based on more than 50 years investigative journalism and experience of a former JW, some 50 years ago. Soon after it was published the Watchtower Society removed Pastor Russell's graveside pyramid monument because of the revelations in the book.

This pledge arrangement was done by the Presbyterian church that my mother attended when I was a child. No different.
Did you watch the entire video? BIG difference. The JWs claim they aren't like other churches, and don't solicit money. And they're skimming pennies off the poor. What do they do with their money? Take care of widows? No. Take care of the poor? No. Pay off child abuse cases they cover up? Yes.
Every church/organization is guilty of this. I have listened to a lot of sermons from a lot of different pastors and eventually they all have one message. Give your money to God. I even heard an interesting spin on one of the sermons I listened to and the man actually said if you aren't giving a tenth then there is something wrong with your relationship with God. That generosity is proof of your relationship with God. My wife has been in a church that has had a wall of shame and names of people on the wall that hadn't gave their tithe. New testament says that the people gave freely by selling all their possessions and giving to the apostles and the money was distributed as one had need. The old testament said that every tenth animal that passed under the staff was to be set aside for the levites and the levites had no property and relied solely on their brothers for food and if it was money then another 5% was to be given so 15% once a year. But at the end of the day if you enjoy your church or in this case your congregation then give cheerfully not begrudgingly because God loves a cheerful giver and money makes the world go round and pays the bills. The only thing that the jehovahs witnesses don't do that is mandatory is give to the poor my mom who has been a witness for about 50 or so years said its because Jesus said preaching the gospel is the most important thing. But they ignore that he also said give to the poor and help those in need. Churches should never be a for profit organization but sadly most are ran in that way. The only pastor I have to give props to is chip ingram he said he doesn't care if you give to his church or if you give to a charity as long as you give a portion of what God has given to you. I ranted long enough good video by the way I currently don't have what most call a spiritual home because I have doctrinal differences with most denominations and most would see me as a heretic.
I guess they have no faith God will provide even if it is with less and they can make do. I never understood if the end is so near why build a million dollar facilities etc etc.........its a Publishing Company with all kinds of strange roots.

How much does “the preaching work” cost nowadays, since all JWs have to do is sit in their houses and write letters. I doubt Watchtower is supplying every publisher with pens and paper, envelopes and stamps. Since there is so much less literature printed that JWs have to “place” in field service, that means there is that much less literature that Watchtower has to print. They are saving money at every turn, but they still ask for more, more, more.

In my teen years in the early 80's I turned away from religion and the JW. After that I watched every thing they did with suspicion. But they mostly still seemed pleasant and uncorrupted. In recent years I am shocked by how publicly petty, vicious and scheming they have become. I can only presume their mindframes have been concentrated and poisoned by social media use, like much of society. I also notice many of the Kingdom Halls I saw as a youth are missing from the landscape now.

How much do the GB, President, Treasurers donate from their living expense ( money$.., living quarters world wide. Vacation buildings, automobiles, etc..& gifts) given to them is donated back to the organization, since ordinary JW members fund their own expenses for their ministry & KH buildings. The local members donate to materials they use in the ministry & attendance of supporting buiildings (maintenance & expense), then they (members of their local KH) support the use of KH and pay their own expense for attending the conventions, & reimburse the visits expense of district & circuit overseers or any invited guest for giving a special talk. Its expensive to fund the demands of the organization. Then my next ? ; " why is ALL donations not accounted for?" When trying to follow the money..there is a lot of hidden funds unaccountable for.
Thank you for pointing out those charlatan prosperity preachers and how they manipulate people into giving “seed” money. Those are the only preachers I see “begging” - or rather coercing - people for money. They are indeed wolves. In all my years as a Christian, I’ve never experienced any church “begging.” You may give an offering or you may not. Put something in the plate or don’t. No begging involved.

Having like you been a witness and presiding Overseer blah blah blah I have turned my back on the whole thing.
The tipping point for me was the Australian Royal Commission. Not only did that open my eyes but what was revealed thoroughly disscusted me.

I began waking up at the very end of 2018, reading Crisis of Conscience and Franz' other book. I spent a couple of months intentionally watching "apostate" videos. And then I found Eric's videos. I scrambled to email him. So, by the time the ARC disaster rolled around, I was ready to take it all in. Yet, I could still totally "hear" how all "loyal" JW's would be supporting the twisted testimony of the JW representatives.
