Great Podcast as usual, no matter what others say about it at times 🤪👍🏼 I’m going the same way as Kev in a 2-1 victory with a few scraps on route ! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES.. let’s see a celebrating Press Room after the match 👍🏼🎂🍺🍻👍🏼🧡
My 11 to face Swansea would be: Shea Hashi, Anderson, Holmes, Bell Nelson, Boudicca, Douglas Bader, Pele (to back up Bader) Brown, Morris A mixture of skill and fighting spirit....I am aware some of these may not be available.
Thanks guys. Guess there are two broad options …Rob holds to his word, drops some players and bring in some fresh faces or says the players responded well in training and it turns out to be more of the same. This month is going to be critical. Is Luton going to turn the corner and the board’s patience is rewarded. Or are we going to see Rob leave? Certainly anything less than 4 points over the next two home games isn’t good enough. Forecasting a 1-1 draw.
Happy Birthday Jimbo! While Swansea might 'own the ball', it's what you do with it. We just need to play a real formation, pick players who WANT to play and RE needs to follow through on his words. I cannot believe after 18 games, we still can't get the basics right but let's go back to basics and grab an ol' fashioned 1-0 win. COYH
Happy Birthday Jimbo. That award looks on the piss, like you boys when you received it, get a level out😂 Swansea can play, the Leeds game they were very impressive. 4-1-4-1 please, Get to the window and we need wingers and pace. Right now we need some fighting spirit.
It's the side I would go for. You guys are correct, rob needs to act on his words now. Let's see the line up on Saturday. One question our goalie , great shot stopper but he again could be doing better with goals conceded lately. Good podcast . Luton 3 v Swansea 0
Thanks for the analysis! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Happy birthday Jimbo... It's a shame Rob Edwards doesn't take on board some of your respected points of view, because if he had maybe we wouldn't be in this sorry state of affairs that we are currently having to deal with! COYH...
From now on we need to play a 4,1,3,2 or 4141 and buy some pace wingers in the transfer window, please James talk to RE and tell him. Something has to happen and change. And 3-1 Luton it will be COYH
Happy birthday. I think the players should play in their actual positions. Surely, there is going to be a reaction . Time to step up to the plate and match them up and do their jobs. 2 nil Luton
i agree with Paul we need a goalkeeper to catch a cross, and command the six yard box. Bring back Jack Walton to challenge Kaminski who stays on the line too much. Tim Krul should go, and his wages used elsewhere to strengthen the team.
1-1 is my prediction. Rob must follow through and drop the serial underperformers. It's like with kids, if you don't follow through they quickly learn and stop listening or doing what they're told 😂 in my mind, Mengi has more credit in the bank than McGuinness, don't care about transfer fee. If Burke is out and Anderson not fit enough to start, then Holmes and Mengi should start. Get 4 at the back, 3 in midfield to try and occasionally get the ball, 2 wide forward players, plus one striker. Job's a goodun 👍
Firstly, happy birthday James. Now on to whether players should be dropped... There'd be short and medium term positives such as placating some of the fan base, giving some players a kick up the arse, giving other players an opportunity, etc, but it's unlikely to change much. In fact it might make it worse. Our biggest issue is that we can't put out a team that consistently performs to the levels expected. Think we can all agree on that even if there's multiple variations on the myriad of reasons that are part of the causes. One thing is for sure in football though. For a team to perform consistently well, there is always a settled majority that make up the starting XI at this level. When you're trying to implement a new style, it's even more important. So we've had a season that has started trying to make one style work (playing out from the back) and then changed it. Then there's been tinkering around the edges looking for the right formula, injuries, suspensions and lately a few 'Hail Mary' type team selections thrown in for good measure. All of which means we've never even seen the same spine of the team for 3 games on the trot except the once when doing it in a 3 game week that meant we fell apart in the end at Coventry. But the Watford and Sunderland games and the 1st half against Cov was our best spell because players had that chance to gel in match conditions. So I'd rather RE ignore the noise, pick what he believes is his best XI and stick to it for a series of games and if it's a 3 game week, rotate out your spine in midweek so a negative result doesn't effect their momentum as much.
There simply has to be a reaction. Burke and Holmes as centre halves. I would play JJ instead of Bell, and Nelson instead of Brown. Its now or never, Luton to win 2-1.
Players have lost confidence / motivation because they don't understand their role in the team. Too many players out of position, no established pairings to build understanding. I really wonder if RE has a clue about what his strongest side is, let alone what the formation should be. Too much instability in defence and midfield.
This GK has already got us relegated from one league, waiting for him to relegate us to another league before I go on a "I told you so Rant". Go get me a proper GK like Stefan Tarnavanu, realistic signing that will give us solidity and confidence from the back. We need a commanding GK that can play with his feet. Someone with composure and reading of the game.
@markypey Saying he's a shot stopper is like saying a midfielder can pass... that's the bare minimum requirement for that position. It's everything else that actually separates the men from the boys. We can keep ignoring it and continue wondering where it's all going wrong. Stability starts with the GK and we have zero stability at the back.
@markypey My biggest problem is that Shea came in Goal didn't make 1 mistake yet Kaminski walked straight back into the team. What kind of message does that send to the rest of the squad. I was a believer in Macey and didn't think he ever got a fair shake at Luton. His sheer size was an obstacle for the opposition. He did well in the friendly against Wolves. I saw that game in person and he looked like a GK low on confidence but solid nonetheless. That was one of the few Cleansheets we kept last season and we thanked that performance by booting him out the club. I'm not sure what I'm backing these days it's certainly not what the club stood for from Non-League to PL. We've put some of these players on pedestals as if they're the reason we're here whe they've only just arrived.

Predicting a 1-0 win to the town. Don't think it's going to be a particularly pretty win, but 3 points will be welcome.
3-1 Luton, think they'll put in an extra shift here!
Here's hoping!
Happy birthday, James!
Happybirthday James. I think another nervy win 2-1.
Happy Birthday Jimbo !!

2-0 Luton. I watched Eli's moments video the other day and sometimes you foret how good he can be going forward!
I’m not copying you Kev but going for 2-1 too 🧡

Happy birthday.2-0 Luton
As always, I'm going for 3-1 to Luton.
My 9 year old boy (who is pretty good to be fair) is a threat to a team that can't be bothered anymore........Luton 1 Swansea 1
Hoping for a lucky 1-0 but being more realistic 1-1
4-1 Luton COYH!
1-2 i'm afraid 😢
Do you chaps believe the Mengi story, or has he just gone off in a sulk?
There simply has to be a reaction. Burke and Holmes as centre halves. I would play JJ instead of Bell, and Nelson instead of Brown. Its now or never, Luton to win 2-1.

A much changed team with a 3-1 win or your looking for a new intro I think
Going for a 2-2 draw.
So I assume you are say kaminski in goal then

He's a good shot stopper but his distribution is aweful
