To elaborate on what the guide said, Jun used to be a trainee at Jellyfish Entertainment and Sehyoon (Wow) was a trainee at YG, but Wow left after only one year because he hated it there. So they both went to a new company, CJ E&M, where they both met each other and met Donghun and the three of them became friends. The current CEO used to be a manager at that company. Basically, the birth of her company and the creation of A.C.E was one event. She recruited them (because of the recommendation of their vocal teacher) and the vocal teacher also recommended BK and Chan who were besties at JYP. Wow's sister was also at trainee at JYP so Chan and BK knew her before they knew Sehyoon.
Beat Interactive gained new talent last year so it's not just A.C.E anymore which is a good thing because the company is growing.
About the Higher concept photos, yes they are actually underwater. There were some underwater photos taken for Favorite Boys too but it was only Jun and Chan. You can see more in the making video. In case you were wondering the setting of the song is underwater since they're supposed to be mermaids/sirens and at the end, they are on land. I'm so happy you guys liked this song because it's my favorite A.C.E title track!
And I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Donghun and Sehyoon are both in military service and Jun is leaving tomorrow. Donghun and Sehyoon are doing social service instead of the normal stuff. Jun is doing the normal stuff, and in April Byeongkwan is also leaving for the military. He'll be in KATUSA which is a special position where he gets to work with U.S. soldiers. T_T And I'm afraid we don't know when Chan will leave, but it will probably be soon after Byeongkwan since they all want to come back around the same time so they can resume group activities sooner. But luckily, there is a lot of content for you to watch in the meantime before they come back in 2023. T_T
Edit: I mentioned the making video for Higher but I meant the jacket shooting video. Let me tell you, the emotional roller coaster of a journey Choice went on as all those gorgeous teasers were slooooowly being released was wild. Every Choice on the tl was a weird mixture of overly emotional, hella thirsty, and extremely proud over fans from other groups being just as gobsmacked over the photos that found their way outside of Choice twitter.
I wouldn't say Higher is my favorite title track of theirs, but it holds a very special place in my heart. A.C.E said that 2021 would be all about releasing content just for Choice and this comeback delivered in spades. I absolutely love that we finally have a song where Byeongkwan and Wow can actually sing and show off their vocals without having to sacrifice half of their lines to rap verses.
Donghun AND Wow are both in the army right now. And Jun enlists literally on Monday. BK is going in April and Chan will likely enlist when his new drama finishes filming. 😐 But it's super comforting to know that the boys wanted to enlist as close together as possible and that by doing so they'll minimize how long their group hiatus will be. And given how fast time actually passes, they'll be back in no time!

I forgot to mention that both wow And donghun enlisted Last year as social workers, these days(if im not wrong today or tommorow) Jun is enlisting too but in the army, we have only our little ones left u.u is sad but at the same time i was hoping For them to go sooner one after another, so we can have them all together sooner as posible 😳
Yeah, its sad to see them go for an extended period of time but we will use that time to get to know them better and be ready for when they return!

Yes, they were photographed underwater at Sodam Studio. They also had Jun and Chan doing their Goblin concept photos at that studio previously.
It's fun watching you guys discovering them. They are so dedicated to their fans and their fan service is some of the best I've ever seen. They have multiple fan songs. You should check out Stand By You, Clover (written by Jun with the help of the fans) and If You Heard.

Hi there I’m just binge watching all of your A.C.E videos haha and yes Higher is such a beautiful emotional song even without understanding the lyrics you can still feel the emotional in their singing and not much groups can do that I literally teared up when I first heard this especially on Donghuns part. Can you believe this only had 2.9 million views and it’s been nearly a year since it came out it deserves so much more I think it’s because it was uploaded to 1thek instead of their channel so most people didn’t know it came out and because it was different to their usual songs (even though it still had that A.C.E sound/vibe to it) some people didn’t like it as much their other songs.

I hope you have listend to "Higher" again with captions. Yes ,the song is emotional and I heard they wanted to show the "E" in their name, coz they had the "A" as first and also in their first repackage album " Adventures in wonderland" and they had the "C" for "Callin". Now we have the "E" for emotions and they showed many emotions last year I think. Their enlistment make it even more emotional. But looking forward when they comeback.
I really like their music and that they have so many different genres.
