Okay so if your making an airliner or any plane with a shape that is not straight, you will have to break the sketch into section. I tried every method of using this technique for ana321 wings + winglet and finally figured it out. Sketch the based of the wing and sweep, then sketch remainder of wing connected to winglet and sweep.
Thank you very very very much Ben, great video and you have helped me so much for my paper with this method. Amazing well done tutorial and I would highly recommend for anyone who needs fusion 360 help to go to this guy.
Nice video, thanks... Actually, I already knew how to do this... but OOOOH - I SEE A WING! So I copied along... But, as is typical with Fusion, this led me down a path... The video shows a *positive* angle rotating the plane ANTI-clockwise... leading to an *upturned* winglet as required (ie the "Winglet_Angle" means "winglet 'upturn' angle... from horizontal"). However, when I tried this, entering a *positive* angle made the plane rotate CLOCKwise, which would lead to a down-turned winglet! Q: Is the 'angle direction' a configurable setting? Like a 'flip direction' option? If not configurable - there's numerous 'workarounds' for this: - enter a negative angle (non-sensical) - set Winglet_Angle to a negative value (so "-30" gives the tip 30 up from the horizontal) - set Winglet_Angle positive, but set the dimension angle to " -Winglet_Angle" (negative sign prefix!) - or of course, use a sketch with a dimension line etc, which then guides the required construction plane Q: But is there a way to avoid any of those, and have a positive angle equate directly to 'angle of upturn for winglet', as the video appears to show ?? This must be a common issue/requirement? But my search has revealed nothing... so far.... Or am I missing something here (apart from a life) ? :( Thanks again.
Hi Ben really great video even though I don’t make airplane I still like to watch this stuff. Also I just got my first 3dconnexion space mouse and really like it I never knew how good it would be. Thanks for all the great videos and your form. Ps how do you make you thumbnails
Can I get that file as it doesnt seem to be on your download page..... having trouble with the loft section ...... I get to the selecting rails and thats ok then when I hit OK the wing only goes out to the start of the circle and I get an error saying not smooth..... I have tried it several times and I have done it exactly to your video but I am stumped.... thanks

Thanks for sharing! Really clever design that makes a great looking winglet.
Thanks for this video... it changed the way I design wings

You're very welcome!
@@Fusion360NewbiesPlushey ben, do you have a video tutorial on how to make a morphing winglet or any sources you can recommend me to learn it from
Thank you very much, this is exactly what i needed for my paper
Nice video, thanks...

I appreciate the nice words 👍 - HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
@@Fusion360NewbiesPlusyes happy holidays to you to 😉. are you still making a tutorial on a 3-D printed glider
7:30 You always choose to break rather than trim? Or are there situations where trimming is better?
Thanks ❤
Quick tip before watching.. play this at double speed.
Thank you for this tutorial, can you give the airfoil dat file used in this video?
Hello , I would like to see tutorial RIB boat design, Can you help?
Can this be turned into a tool or widget of some kind for use on multiple designs or does one just have to import it into each new file...?
Beautyfull tutorial. Could you tell me, from where I can download script for airfoill, you have been using?
Here you go:
apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=213381023559758782&appLang=en&os=Win64
Great, you have helped me. I use Mac, so I could start my project on Windows and then I am going to continue it on Mac.
hello thanks for your precious video, could you make a guide in Italian?
Nice. 👍
Thanks 👍

Sorry for that, I have updated the link to the file:

Turn on "Perspective with Ortho faces" for the love of god!
Can I do air simulations with that? Thanks!
Probably, but I'm I don't know how to do that.
@@Fusion360NewbiesPlus thanks!
@@Fusion360NewbiesPlus Yes I can. Passing to a STEP file and then to freecad.
Good. I wait for love from you 💝💖
