Playing Fortnite OG is almost the same as playing ranked right now. Edit: I’m not saying it’s necessarily a bad thing. Due to it being a new gamemode, it’s getting a lot of mixed players good and bad, making it like ranked. If anything, it’s more accurate to how Fortnite was considering back then there were no bots.

A tip for double pumping if you have trouble with it, you can now just hold the trigger button as you swap weapons and it will shoot right when possible

Problem is is that there barely any heals that drop or ammo or more less anything. You spend the whole game on whited health basically and when the revolver hitting for 50 at the very least and pumps easily being able to destroy you without shield it’s very difficult💀sweats aside the lack of loot and ammo and health just contribute
Yeah that's the funny part it's like before but now people are just better and it will never be the same experience as before. You don't see in lobby defaults or people that can't build. Same map but not same experience
That's old fortnite for ya. I also find it fun with the lack of shields. It actually feels dangerous if your not careful. Better then fighting someone that just have 2 stacks of shields.
Bro, I was a beta tester for save the world, I remember the real release of battle royale for us. We had a season 0 period before season 1. It was so great because nobody knew how to crank 90s or have good aim. We were building like we were in our storm shields in STW 😂

You aren't imagining. Everyone is eliminating players in a few minutes. to me it's no fun. Can't even explore without needing to move excessively cautious, not that there was anything great to look at with the old graphics.
Honestly this game mode is miserable to play so far. I’m so sick of landing and dying immediately almost every match and getting full pieced by sweats when I’m just trying to have a chill match. Hopefully epic changes something soon

In zero build its useless to have traps since you can place them only on building floors so either make them work whenever or not put them in zero build
Clear sign that Epic needs to Enable Bots / Bot Lobbies. Right now OG is Completely Unenjoyable for Casual, Chill OGs, and New Players. Proof that Sweats just ruin everything. They should have just released OG Ranked too. But even then that wouldnt help much with the sweat problem. But, No Buts or Ifs about it. They can try to push it aside as much as they want. Bots and Bot Lobbies are Heavily Needed. I even refuse to touch OG until it gets enabled.
Yea, I'm an OG player and there are alot of sweaty trihards playing. I made it to 2nd place 6 times, had to stop playing for a bit, came back and won 8 in a row.

Literally BOTH versions of Fortnite OG are sweaty, Builds you at least have slightly higher chance of survival but Zero Builds...nah it feels like a warzone out there, I've played like I dunno maybe 20 matches? Most of the time me and my friends don't even make it to the first circle but we did make it to 2nd place once but also There's like No Ammo or health or anything! I seriously hope Epic fixes this massive Sweat issue because DAMN! I'm just trying to have fun!

The sweat issue 100% correct. The heals though, this shows you did not play back then. Minis were added later on, slurp juice didn't always give 75 health/shield it was 25 before. The ammo, just start opening ammo boxes.
Took me a few hours to get my first OG win. If I eliminate someone who was sweating, I'm gonna Dance on them with the Ice Spice emote with extra toxicity added
No kidding! It felt like every game I joined I was sniped or ambushed in the first 2 minutes. I got lucky with my 5th game. The guy got too close to me and we both couldn’t land our shots until I switched to my second shotgun and popped him while he was jumping.
Reading some comments and yeah I've had the same experience. Either land fine, loot etc, see no one at all then get obliterated as soon as I see something. Or get obliterated straight away. And yeah the players drop fast as heck at times. Even without the sweaty players I can not see how people used to enjoy Chapter 1 Season 1. Personally it's incredibly boring, literally just walking/running the whole time, very open too. Now I understand the nostalgia factor and I also understand I'm viewing this having only started fully playing the game in Chapter 4. But this has made me appreciate the fancy stuff we have now in the game. I'd take the Wrecked season any day of this.
As an actual chapter 1 player Im glad to be in a simple yet annoying version of the game again even better now that i dont have to build worry about the medallion and actually like the map again. Also not caring about wins anymore help me have way more funs in game now that and the double pump
I just dropped 4 times barely got any loot no mats and 8-10 year olds playing like it's their life purpose. I've been waiting so long to get the og burst back just to get no kills or shots off and almost all of the Pois are just covered in builds the sweats are so desperate they will chase me down to get a kill, one single kill for what.
I'm so mad because with the amount of people playing this mode won't allow me to matchmake quickly. Like I was matchmaking for 10 minutes straight. At that point I just gave up
I have an argument about the sweat. I dropped in, got a gun, and a guy started emoting at me. I went up to him and emoted back. A third guy came. Then a fourth. Fifth. We had EIGHT people all just dancing together. It brought my faith in this community back.
Omg this happened to me, a guy I was about to kill started emoting then I killed him before I realised, then his teammate came up and me and him just default danced
I hate that it’s only solos and squads. I was playing with my friend and we kept getting teammates who land in the middle of nowhere and then leave when they die.
They should remove turbo building, edit on release and the movement mechanics. They advertised that you can relive OG fortnite, but how, if it's not OG??? we just got an old map and lootpool that's it

I saw a couple of black knights today. The OG's and sweats are merging their forces together. And playing with low graphics on 20-40 fps is hard and I know that is person typing in the comments who has the same problem.
What I don't get about Fortnite og is, while I love it, some reason I can't seem to find any weapon that isn't a common, yet I'm constantly being gunned down by people with epic or rare weapons before the first storm circle even hits.
I did one game of OG a bit ago, and I got so very lucky. I should have died like 3 times over, but I somehow won. To everyone that's yet to win, I wish you all the best of luck.

The only things different about the og season from og fortnite is Zero build, Some of The new movement (which without Zero build would be a pain), The Graphics THEY BROUGHT BACK DOUBLE PUMP AND MANY DIFFERENT THINGS FROM CHAPTER 1 SEASON 1 FORTNITE
I played og for about 2:30 hours, just doing the xp quests i got close to getting the victory royale a few times, but when up against sweats i dont even have the time to react before they send me back to the lobby😮💨
Wonder if they are going to do anything with those 'Bots' Files or let it sit there gather dust while we are like in some competition every round. But guess they go by Player-Count. -lol

The amount of detail in this mode is astounding. Heck, they even added the old storm clouds before their Season 6 update. But I can't lie, this mode is incredibly sweaty. Epic needs to do one of two things - add bots and bot lobbies, or the more fun change, take out Turbo Building, because that wasn't introduced until Season 3! 😂
Im begging epic please add a fricking ranked mode for OG so the try hard sweats can leave us casuals alone. I legit can't even enjoy the OG days for 3 minutes because I'm dead within 2 minutes. Every POI is packed with sweats and everywhere you go, they just appear. Legit all I do on fortnite these days is play "Red VS Blue" in creative. I like it because it's fun, even tho sweats are there every single game, but at least it makes sense for them to be there probably practising or something, but having them in OG fortnite is sad and annoying. They dont belong there, they belong in RANKED OG Fortnite.
Sounds like the guy I killed in zero build OG, he was on a mountain and I was below. My friend was low and I eventually got the headshot. If out of a 1 in a mil chance that was you, then GG's u were good.
The only thing I expected from Epic was to make this mode possible for bot lobbies. But sadly, after I watch via reddit, it is just in files so idk if it gets enabled or not.
I’ve won 7 squad games in a row. 4/7 of the games my teammates leave at the beginning or right after they die. I’ve realized tho with the loot pool (big pots are rare) it is a lot better for those guys to leave and keep it for yourself cause in the endgame everyone is basically 1 shot its insane.
Literally landed in pleasant and was constantly sandwiched between squads the entire match and placed 4th which is the closest I’ve got so far. Only came back for OG but this mode is training me to be a demon lol
This season is humbled me because in previous seasons I felt like a good player because of the echo chamber of skill ranked and skill based put me in. Now that theres no skill based you can run into players you leagues better than you and get destroyed. Honestly I prefer that because you can see how you stack up with the general population and also when you get a win it's more rewarding because you defied all odds instead of being slightly better than other players like you needed with skill based match making
People really expected people to play like chapter 1 when that just wont happen. Even if they disabled turbo build for one, people wouldnt play, and having og movement in both build and zero would be ass because it would be slow, plus the lack of mobility on the map because thats how it was back then. Og fortnite didnt get good and popular until season 3 and 4, so for yall whining theres no going back now, this is literally how it was
Ive been enjoying this mode alot even though most games that ive been put in are sweaty games. You just have to outsmart them or try playing passive on rounds where alot of players land with you.
I won it on my first match. 😅 Accidentally went on build mode & I legit don't know how to build at all... and got the dub. And tried no build after and got demolished as soon as I landed. 😂
You know what's funny? I couldn't win the game until I choose to land at that house Tabor did on his first win match, there is literally no one landing here and there is a very good chunk of loot in there aswell so definetely my pick until season 8 comes around

I have an argument about the sweat. I dropped in, got a gun, and a guy started emoting at me. I went up to him and emoted back. A third guy came. Then a fourth. Fifth. We had EIGHT people all just dancing together. It brought my faith in this community back.
Those are the ones who be using xim/Chronus playstation players that love doing that or PC folks since u can't turn crossplay off anymore

I played 20 matches, got 1 kill and died almost immediately every single match, to 1-3 shots every single time. OG isn't worth it.

I hate that it’s only solos and squads. I was playing with my friend and we kept getting teammates who land in the middle of nowhere and then leave when they die.
They should remove turbo building, edit on release and the movement mechanics.

I saw a couple of black knights today. The OG's and sweats are merging their forces together. And playing with low graphics on 20-40 fps is hard and I know that is person typing in the comments who has the same problem.

What I don't get about Fortnite og is, while I love it, some reason I can't seem to find any weapon that isn't a common, yet I'm constantly being gunned down by people with epic or rare weapons before the first storm circle even hits.

I played og for about 2:30 hours, just doing the xp quests i got close to getting the victory royale a few times, but when up against sweats i dont even have the time to react before they send me back to the lobby😮💨

The amount of detail in this mode is astounding. Heck, they even added the old storm clouds before their Season 6 update.
But I can't lie, this mode is incredibly sweaty. Epic needs to do one of two things - add bots and bot lobbies, or the more fun change, take out Turbo Building, because that wasn't introduced until Season 3! 😂

Im begging epic please add a fricking ranked mode for OG so the try hard sweats can leave us casuals alone. I legit can't even enjoy the OG days for 3 minutes because I'm dead within 2 minutes. Every POI is packed with sweats and everywhere you go, they just appear. Legit all I do on fortnite these days is play "Red VS Blue" in creative. I like it because it's fun, even tho sweats are there every single game, but at least it makes sense for them to be there probably practising or something, but having them in OG fortnite is sad and annoying. They dont belong there, they belong in RANKED OG Fortnite.

Sounds like the guy I killed in zero build OG, he was on a mountain and I was below. My friend was low and I eventually got the headshot. If out of a 1 in a mil chance that was you, then GG's u were good.

The only thing I expected from Epic was to make this mode possible for bot lobbies. But sadly, after I watch via reddit, it is just in files so idk if it gets enabled or not.

I’ve won 7 squad games in a row. 4/7 of the games my teammates leave at the beginning or right after they die. I’ve realized tho with the loot pool (big pots are rare) it is a lot better for those guys to leave and keep it for yourself cause in the endgame everyone is basically 1 shot its insane.

Literally landed in pleasant and was constantly sandwiched between squads the entire match and placed 4th which is the closest I’ve got so far. Only came back for OG but this mode is training me to be a demon lol
The weapons are all so strong and there’s barely any heals on map. It’s wild
Five games in a row, I get insta-killed off drop before I can even grab my first gun.
Or you grab a gun and there is no Ammo or only a couple of bullets
It’s full of sweats, not like it used to to be lol
This season is humbled me because in previous seasons I felt like a good player because of the echo chamber of skill ranked and skill based put me in. Now that theres no skill based you can run into players you leagues better than you and get destroyed. Honestly I prefer that because you can see how you stack up with the general population and also when you get a win it's more rewarding because you defied all odds instead of being slightly better than other players like you needed with skill based match making
All these sweats in OG need some towels.
I’ll give you advice to win this the only way is zero builds because everyone is so sweaty and win by playing zero builds

People really expected people to play like chapter 1 when that just wont happen. Even if they disabled turbo build for one, people wouldnt play, and having og movement in both build and zero would be ass because it would be slow, plus the lack of mobility on the map because thats how it was back then. Og fortnite didnt get good and popular until season 3 and 4, so for yall whining theres no going back now, this is literally how it was

Ive been enjoying this mode alot even though most games that ive been put in are sweaty games. You just have to outsmart them or try playing passive on rounds where alot of players land with you.
My first landing spot was the tunnel near tomato town if my memory is right. Landing back there is such a nice nostalgia trip.
I won it on my first match. 😅 Accidentally went on build mode & I legit don't know how to build at all... and got the dub. And tried no build after and got demolished as soon as I landed. 😂

You know what's funny? I couldn't win the game until I choose to land at that house Tabor did on his first win match, there is literally no one landing here and there is a very good chunk of loot in there aswell so definetely my pick until season 8 comes around
