It was so clear to see that Carmelo didn't want anyone to steal his shyne..
How clear? Explain?
@@serenityking9333 He didn't want to play with Lin.. Carmelo liked being considered the King of NY. He never liked playing next to anyone stealing his shyne not only Lin. NYC was glad he left.
@@Futuristbillpicone I'm a New Yorker, and when was NY glad he left? Lin didn't have any shine. What about 2-weeks? Lin didn't like his shine. He didn't like the spotlight. I was at many of the Nets and Knicks games, so I'm not sure what you mean. Like I said, go watch Lin's interview. He tells a different story from you. And you all are going by what they show you on TV. It's totally different up close and personal. Half the stuff that goes on at those games isn't shown.
@@serenityking9333 Carmelo leaving was a blessing.. that was the first move to getting where we are now and I didn't only said Lin. Lin and whoever took a little bit of his shyne.. for example Randle got us back into the playoffs.. then we get Brunson and Randle instead of feeling threatened. He plays like a team player like Luka in the Mavs.. Melo was not like that at all.
@@Futuristbillpicone How long ago was it that Melo left? It's funny that you say, "That's why we are where we are now," all because Melo left when Brunson said he would love to play with Melo. As for Luka, although a good player was also ball-dominant, that's why the Mavs weren't getting anywhere until Kyrie came. The ball now spreads across the floor. Luka himself has credited Kyrie with this. George Karl put the narrative about Melo out there, and everybody else just started playing follow the leader. Anyway, I'm just saying watch Lin's interview.

The Knicks did not "need" Lin for a fairytale basketball dream. How Melo or ANY Knick player feels does not matter to the Knicks organization. Melo is not lying. Linsanity could have been easy $100 million deal with everything in New York. I don't doubt Melo was supporting him because he, Landry Fields and Iman Shumpert were all trying to get him to come out of his shell in public. Not just the court. Then he signed that poison pill contract and it was over. You could have argued that Lin was figured out by Miami prior to his injury but that series would have gone another game or 2. Because you had enough guys to make it interesting. It all worked out though, Lin left, Melo won the scoring title, we got Jason Kidd, Marcus Camby, Kurt Thomas, Rasheed Wallace, and #Knickstape was officially born.
Love this insight
Come on, everyone knows Melo was jealous af and petty. He’s taking Jeremy Lin being humble and trying to turn it into a narrative of something else. My wife and I are 'ol school Knicks' fans b4 you were born Melo. Permit me to digress, but were you aware of the fact that Jeremy Lin was a strike "breaker"!! I don't know if it's true but there were Asians in NYC, perhaps Chinatown, that didn't have the channel, "MSG" - a Knicks' cable channel. When "Linsanity" occurred, the strike was resolved and their cable company commenced in televising Knicks' games. Moreover, some box seats remained unoccupied at MSG even though they were purchased, however, during "Linsanity", the people suddenly showed up in their box seats at Madison Square Garden. Also, during another nationally televised Knick game, Novak had eight 3-pointers and as Novak celebrated while returning to the bench, you walked over to him (you were in civvies & injured) and told him to calm down, curbing his and the team's enthusiasm!! My wife and I were shocked at your behavior -- Unbelievable :O smh!!!
So why didn't the owner resign Jeremy Lin from the get-go?
