I am so sorry about Rupert, he shall be missed. My dad had a rooster but that darn rooster when it saw me made a bee line for me and chase me and pick my heels as I was running shrieking my head off. Well my dad sorted his hash out and he landed in the pot. Rupert was a lovely rooster and I too got to love him. Shall miss him. Sarah I know how you both feel and he has had a good life with you, Peppa and piglets. I get what you mean about not being so attached to your chickens. We're attached to all our named animals - goats, sheep, dog, cats - but not the chickens. We care about their well-being but chose not to name them because, once you do, you're emotionally engaged. Besides, the chickens don't interact with us like the other animals do. One of the hens gets broody and is absolutely terrifying - I can't go near her without gloves on! We've been lucky with our rooster though. He's very placid and attentive to his girls, plus he breaks up any squabbles they may have. He's the only one who has a name, Mister Ken.

Agg, life is difficult sometimes (Rupert was a shinning star), but with Quinta life, you have to take it all on the chin, and there is always anther sunny day. I think your animals are the luckiest farm animals in the world.!

We have hopefully found homes for all of Peppas babies and will be keeping Baby Pie as a companion for Peppa until her Kune kune boar is old enough to join her

We care about their well-being but chose not to name them because, once you do, you're emotionally engaged. Besides, the chickens don't interact with us like the other animals do. One of the hens gets broody and is absolutely terrifying - I can't go near her without gloves on! We've been lucky with our rooster though. He's very placid and attentive to his girls, plus he breaks up any squabbles they may have. He's the only one who has a name, Mister Ken.

Sad news regarding Rupert , he was certainly luved ❤️ .. You both bring luv to our lives .. Molly gave daddy soooooo many kisses upon his return 😚.
Molly goes kissing crazy every time Luke comes home, even if it was just an hour to the shops🤣

Agg, life is difficult sometimes (Rupert was a shinning star), but with Quinta life, you have to take it all on the chin, and there is always anther sunny day. I think your animals are the luckiest farm animals in the world.!

Rupert had a wonderful life living with his Pepper. Love transcends all species. Rupert was amazing at his devotion to his love Pepper. You did the right thing by letting him be where he most wanted to be. Sorry for your loss. I love the way you both love and care for them.❤❤❤ It was wonderful how you took Molly on holidays with you. Molly is so well behaved. I just love watching your videos.❤

We have hopefully found homes for all of Peppas babies and will be keeping Baby Pie as a companion for Peppa until her Kune kune boar is old enough to join her
