Centring clamps with balls or hexagonal segments from KIPP

Workpieces can be quickly and easily #centrally positioned and clamped with #centring clamps from #KIPP. The type of clamp to use depends on the workpiece and application.
- K0644: Used for centric clamping and positioning of workpieces that do not permit access to the clamping screw from above. In this case, the centring clamp is actuated from below.
- K0358: Used for auto-centric positioning and clamping in workpiece bores and is operated from above.
Both versions are available with spherical or hexagonal clamping segments. The ball versions are used to clamp in the bores of rough machined or cast parts. The ball segments could leave light indentations in the workpiece. For bores with sensitive surfaces where no marks are desired, the model with hex segments should be used.
Model K0358 is mounted by fitting it into a reamed hole. It is secured with a screw from above or below. A dowel pin prevents the centring clamp from rotating. Now it is ready for use.
A bore in the workpiece is now positioned over the centring clamp. A hex key is required to tighten the clamp. The bore in the workpiece is automatically centred during the clamping process.
Model K0644 is also mounted by fitting it into a reamed hole. A dowel pin also prevents the centring clamp from rotating. The centring clamp is secured with a hex nut which is screwed on from below.
A workpiece is clamped by rotating a hex nut that is located at the bottom of the centring clamp. During the clamping process, the bore in the workpiece is automatically centred on the clamp so that uniform clamping takes place.
