    I like it! All the different textures and how you achieved them. The whiped plastic elements have so much more life in them than I expected. Thanks for the video Marta.

    I taught my students a similar method of printing using inked acetate stencils but we called it pochoir printing due to the stencils. We overlapped them and then for a second generation print rearranged them without reinking- where they had overlapped we got pops of bright colour and textures. I like the addition of the collagraph

      Hi there Restless Knitter, that sounds fantastic! I actually do that a lot when monoprinting sometimes you can get some really interesting results. Thank you for your input 🤗

    Super schön, String kommt gut. Machst du auch Drucke mit der Gelliplate.

    Exciting to watch.I like that you narrated a sped up process so that I didn’t have to watch every stroke of ink. Might be good to include a bit of slower pieces to talk more about problems or nuances, but in general a great first look as I explore this medium. Would this work without a press? I’m assuming yes, but not nearly as well.

      Thank you Donna for your helpful input. Yes I think without a press you would get as good results but there are some good cheap alternatives like xcut press www.amazon.co.uk/Sizzix-Cutting-Embossing-Machine-Opening/dp/B00R50G692/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?adgrpid=58875136531&gclid=Cj0KCQiAvqGcBhCJARIsAFQ5ke7_tISZiRLc8NFS1hZ_pcpO3oslswl93WjguTMfv09dJ5-Ie9tcTa8aApWyEALw_wcB&hvadid=593661798888&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9045888&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=3246618527956002667&hvtargid=kwd-300279717987&hydadcr=26136_2651833&keywords=xcut+xpress+die+cutting+machine&qid=1669911113&sr=8-3

    What type of ‘plate’ material are you using? (ie mylar , acetate, duralar..?) and is the cut out shape from the same type and thickness? And is this with akua?

    • @CollagraphPrinting
      @CollagraphPrinting  Год назад +2

      I use acetate here. It’s best to keep shapes the same thickness. And it’s not akua as I haven’t discovered them then 😁

      @@CollagraphPrinting ok! I just started playing with them as I’m trying to decide what type ink I want to commit to! Among other things so lots and lots to learn! Thanks!🤓

    Is there a way of getting the same result by using a gelli plate?

    I love all of your videos and have attempted a few small prints of my own- very much learning. One question... i have an old clamshell tee shirt press - can i expect to get good result using that with collagraph or is the rolling an important part of the technique? Clamshell works great with lino but so far collagraphs have been patchy, not sure if it is the press or plate or inking that is the problem, any thoughts?

      Thank you Eden, intaglio prefers a rolling press, do you wet your paper?
